Downgrade of Win7 on SVE14A27CXH?
Hello
I just bought a Vaio SVE14A27CXH of the USA. There Win8 64-bit pre-installed on it. I would come down to Win7, Sony can you please provide drivers for the same? Alternatively, the same drivers of Win8 would work on Win7?
Thank you
Anurag
Yes, I checked the website and found no support for win7. But can we call Sony to please make available pilots? Because I sinerely believe that it is not so difficult for Sony to do. And after all, Microsoft allows users to downgrade Win8 to 7 if they want to do. How will users do if the hardware manufacturer offers no support?
Thanks for the reply though.

Hey guys
I downgraded to Win7 and I am having some problems.
My battery seems to flow in a way faster than when I was on Win8.1. I went into the bios and did a battery check. He said that everything was OK. However, I went to support assistant and did a battery check it and he told me that the battery was unknown. I tried to calibrate the battery, but it wouldn't let me.
I wanted to also make sure I have all the right drivers installed my system.

Hi, Gregory:
You can use all the W7 x 64 software and drivers of this model on the link below.
DO NOT USE ALL DOWNLOADS OF BIOS OR FIRMWARE FROM THIS LINK
For best results, first install the Intel Chipset Installation utility and reboot.
Then, install the Intel HD graphics driver and restart.
Then, install the audio driver and restarted.
Then, you can install the rest of them as you want.

Satellite S50-B-13D - Downgrade from Win7
Hi, 2 of my friends and myself have bought this laptop. We will add 8 GB of RAM and an SSD to speed it up.
It comes with win 8.1 x 64, but we all prefer Win 7. Can we get the license codes to an official Win 7 downgrade?
I've seen the installation hints concerning the deactivation of the UEFI BIOS (carrier MSC mode) mode then that should be OK.
So, is a license for Windows 7 available for this purpose?
When you buy the new laptop with OS preinstalled, you will get this operating system with the valid license code that belongs to this preinstalled only version. Price for your laptop includes a single license for pre-installed OS.
If you want to install the version of the OS, you must buy license code valid for this version of the OS.
Laptop computer manufacturer generally has nothing to do with your OS downgrade. Before you do anything, create a recovery as backup media. It is very important. One day, if you want to have the original version of the new OS, you can use this recovery media (USB or DVD) for recovery image installation.
Also check if Win7 is supported for this model of laptop. Visit the Toshiba download page and check if you can download all necessary drivers, tools and utilities for your machine.

Is satellite U840t-103 - possible to downgrade to Win7?
Hello
does anyone know if it is possible to downgrade to win 8.1 for win 7 on my Satellite U840t-103?
Need to use internet explorer 8...
I'm a little worried that he will be absent drivers.Tobias cordially
Hello
I checked the download page of Toshiba on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and there is no support for Win7.
In General, Win7 installation should be possible, but if you find no drivers, tols and utilities it has no sense for me to do.
By the way: don't forget to create a recovery (DVD or USB) media.

Want to 360 x (15-u011dx): try to downgrade to Win7 Pro
Has anyone got this laptop particular smoothly after downgrading from Win 7? After you change all the BIOS settings recommended and created a bootable Win7 USB Installer, I * finally * got the software based there. I finally had to destroy any single partition on the hard drive, including recoveries of the factory to do but I don't care too much as I had no intention of returning to Win8.
Now, I'll have a whale of a time finding the proper drivers. Priority 1 is network / wireless network & I swapped a specific message to this Council. All I can find on the site of HP essentially says "this laptop is optimized for Win8 you watered if you want to do something different."
Please put my mind at ease, I have an achievable goal in front of me without TOO much trouble. Thank you!

Hello:
I see no reason why you can't run W7 x 64 on this platform.
First install the chipset driver and restart.
Then, install the Intel graphics driver and restart.
Thirdly, install the audio driver and reboot.
Ethernet:
Wireless:
Bluetooth:
Card reader:
USB3:
That should help you get started.
Let me know if you need additional drivers, or if all drivers above didn't work.

W530 Install Win8 Downgrade for Win7
Hi all
I just got a new W530 last month, and I wanted to downgrade Win8 to win7. However, when I was trying to intall
the windows7, there is an error message:
Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is the GPT partition style
Then, I tried to use the tool of Gparted to remove all partitions on the disk hard and then created two new
partitions. However, when I tried to install windows7, it has the same error message. Those who know how
to resolve this problem, pls let me know. Thanks in advance.
Alex
I thought I already solved this problem. My solution is to use Gparted again to delete all partitions, and then quit.
Then reinstall windows7, windows7 installation process, I created two new partitions, and it worked. I hope this help someone who has the same problem. -
Downgrade of Win7 to Winxp on laptop
Have a ProBook s 4540 I received last December and it came with Win7. I have a legal WinXP installation disc and product key and I want to downgrade the OS on my laptop. But I have a few questions first: is there a difference between decommissioning and a type reformatting/reinstall? Are there drivers available for my laptop XP? If so, what I have to bring before the downgrade or is it better to go to a specific place and subsequently bring? Thanks in advance.
You are the very welcome.
If you want to give "slipstreaming" the drivers a go, so please read this guide on the link below, read the Intel section and then read the info in the downloadable PDF to integrate all the drivers.
Here's the link for the drivers, to integrate.
Download but do not run the file.
Now download and run this free utility to extract the executable files to a folder.
It is enough to click with the right button on the file sp57121, select Extract 7-zip 7 - zip and leave the files in the sp57121 folder.
You really need to wake drivers in the drivers > x 32 folder.
There are special instructions for installing the sata ahci driver if you need to change the BIOS to the IDE setting.
I'll give you those later as they will be very long and detailed.
You can do what you want to have the drivers available beforehand regarding.
You want to certainly the chipset installation utility and graphics drivers, so you can have decent graphics.
You don't need to format anything (CD/USB drive). Just download, copy and paste or burn the files to recordable media.
USB 3.0 transfers data faster than USB 2.0.
If you want more information about USB 3.0, you can read the info at the link below.

Spectrum 14-3200ea Downgrade from Win7 HP
Hello
After spending a month of searching so portable / ultrabooks, im looking to buy a HP spectrum 14-3200ea machine (considered the spectrum 14-3000 model loaded with Win7, but prefer performance increased 4000 Intel i5-3317 Ivey specs on the chipset Intel 3000 and Sandy of i5-2476). I'm not interested in touchscreen technology.
Like a few others I hate Windows 8, I also hate MS (IMO) establishing an operating system that is inappropriate for business use.
I have been in contact with HP and received the habit; 'HP recommends changing the operating system' of things, have you thought to...
Spectrum 14-3200ea offers you everything I want in a laptop / ultrabook. After reading some of the threads on this forum, I am now worried. I really want to not remove an SSD to re-partition (if indeed it would be possible) outside of the machine.
Disable UEFI, characteristic of secure boot, I agree with. Win7 drivers for this machine are nonexistent. I want to make sure that everything works after a downgrade, including 'Beats audio","keyboard backlit"(the latter being one of the main attractions of this machine, the keys are lit as opposed to the light under the keys).
So how much of a nightmare is what it will be? Is this feasible?
The bog-standard response is "don't go down that road", then just I hold off buying. Consider other manufacturers such as Lenovo, Samsung, ASUS, or even continue to live with my HP Probook until Microsoft come to their senses and realize that some consumers are simply not interested in the bar silly charms, interfaces terrible desktops, application etc stores and HP realizes a significant number of consumers are not interested in Windows 8 and that they should consider seriously to restore and help potential buyers who want nothing to do with the disorder known as Windows 8.
My other solution would be to stick with Win8 and apply each internet tweak suggested, download all conceivable 3 advantage module do Win8 it look and feel like Windows 7. A path already traveled, then realized, 'what's the point? "
Thanks for reading...
Hello:
HP and probably all other PC manufacturers do not support their use of the PC for any operating system, but the current in force when the PC is made (which today is W8).
You already know that the PC company provide support for earlier operating systems.
However, I believe that all of the W7 x 64 drivers of spectrum want 3100t work on the 3200 (except the BIOS files).
As I don't have your laptop, this is the best info I have, or probably everybody will be able to do for you.
If you decide to pursue this option, please make your set of recovery discs before you continue with the switch of the operating system.

Hi Nick,
Of course you n t need to install these drivers that appear on the page of the Toshiba driver BUT! In this case some features of the laptop computer and the devices would not work.
Each tool or the pilot is described on the page of the Toshiba driver (small red arrow in the column of information more) so that you can make a decision if you need this software/driver or not.
