Downgrade to Win Pro 8.1 for Win 7 Pro (Inspiron 3847)
Hello
I just bought desktop computer Inspiron 3847 (D-3847-N3-5028) with Windows Pro 8.1. Is possible legally downgrade to Windows 7 Pro?
There is a topic centered on it (www.dell.com/.../EN), but the model inspiron 3847 isn't in the list. Is this error only or any other problem with that?
Thank you very much LP
It comes to Audio board systems. This issue should have been moved to the Forum of OS from Microsoft? In the future, let me know by PM and I will move them for you.

I have an OEM Win 10 Pro and want to downgrade to Win 7 pro, but do not have Win 7 Pro iso or disc. The seller tells me that MS will provide Win 7 Pro to achieve, but my Windows 10 Pro product key does not work on the download page.

If Pro 10 Windows was preinstalled on your computer, see how in-depth instructions downgrade:
How Downgrade Windows preinstalled 10 for Windows 7/8.1
As mentioned in the article, it is your responsibility to facilitate access to Windows 7 Professional reinstall media. He may be borrowing retail upgrade or full version of media or OEM System Builder.
You can use the following utility to download the ISO of Windows 7 Professional:
Microsoft Windows and Office ISO download tool - HeiDoc.net
Instructions for activation phone activation use after decommissioning in detail article I linked at the start. No need to buy Windows 7 Professional.
Instead of replace, you might want to consider dual booting:
How to: Dual Boot Windows 7 or Windows 8 with Windows installed 10 first
If what you bought is an OEM System Builder Windows 10 Pro license, then you can indeed buy Windows 7 Professional.
Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.
Full version (retail):
-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.
-Does not require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.
-Expensive
Upgrade version (detail):
-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.
-require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.
-Expensive, but less expensive full version
OEM System Builder version:
The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:
-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft
-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on
-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard
-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system
There is nothing wrong to use it too, especially that all future versions of Windows will be full versions.
You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.
There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)

HP - 15 pavallion AB108ax: want to downgrade to win 7
I'm with preinstalled runing win 10, and now I want to downgrade to win 7, my question is if I'll downgrade then my warranty will remain as what or cancel it?
I bought my laptop on 6 November 2015,
And if not then after installation of windows 7, all hardware keys work correctly?
And on the site of Microsoft Windows to win7 download page it ask to key product, so when I got to him, he said: error...
Please answer my questions ASAP
Waiting for your answer!
Thank youHello Hitesh1326 ;
Let me welcome you on the HP forums!
I read your post about wanting to downgrade your PC Win10 for Win7 and wanted to help.
This is really NOT a good idea. Why? Unfortunately, there is no HP Win7 drivers for your device. Since it came with pre-installed Win10, HP provides drivers for older operating systems for this. If you want all the features of the machine, you must consider restore on his original version of OS preinstalled.
There are possibilities, with equipment up, that there is simply no Win7 driver that will work. Manufacturers of new material today generally don't write drivers for an OS that is almost 10 years old now.
My own advice does NOT downgrade, because you could very well be left with a PC for which some material does not.
If proceed you with the downgrade, then try to use Windows updates to find the drivers from Microsoft deposits for your device: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03330139
If you then run into trouble, install the drivers through Windows Update, you can try to use of Microsoft Windows Update Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/open-the-windows-update-troubleshooter
I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

Can I downgrade from Win Vista HomePremium 64 OEM Win XP 64? And what key should I use?
I have a DELL with WIN VISTA Home Premium OEM 64 and I need it downgrade to WIN XP 64.
Some older programs don't work correctly on VISTA and I don't need to spend a lot of money for an upgrade to WINDOWS 7.So please don't tell me to upgrade just tell me if it is posible to DOWNGRADE.
Hello
No, it is not possible.
There is no right to Downgrade to XP to Vista Home Premium.
They apply only to Vista Business and Ultimate.
You can try to install these programs in Compatibility Mode;
"Using Windows 7 or Vista Compatibility Mode.
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-compatibility-mode/
If this does not work, you will be to see if Dell will provide XP drivers for your model computer, then find a place to buy XP.
See you soon.

Can I downgrade my Satellite Pro P200 for Windows XP?
Hello
I bought my Satellite Pro P200 (PSPB7E) a week ago and I love it. I have an unused XP license, so I would like to downgrade.
Is this problem? I don't see xp for a Chicony webcam drivers or the HD-DVD player.
I'd really appreciate some feedback. There must be someone out there who has tried to do.Thank you in advance!
Hello
Of course you can downgrade the satellite Pro P200 for Windows XP.
When installing XP, you need to install the Intel Storage Manager. It is a SATA driver that is needed to activate the HARD disk.
Regarding the webcam driver.
I checked the page European driver of Toshiba and the Chicony webcam driver is certainly available. The HD DVD driver is not necessary because the Windows XP must use an own ODD driver.
See you soon

Drivers for HP Pavilion Entertainment PC running Vista Home Premium, downgrade to XP Pro
I have a laptop HP Pavilion Entertainment PC running Vista Home Premium. Want to downgrade to XP Pro and have an OEM drive to do. Can someone help me find the drivers to complete this process?
Thank you!http://welcome.HP.com/country/us/en/support.html
Look at the link above of HP XP drivers.
If the XP drivers are not available for your model, forget the idea.
If Yes, download and save to a CD or Flash drive.
Save all your data because it will be lost during the installation of XP.
Then follow the steps below to do a clean install.
http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sg_clean.asp
Once installed, reload ALL your other programs of original media, or download again.
Reload all drivers and utilities for your motherboard.
See you soon. Mick Murphy - Microsoft partner

Updated Inspiron 3847 of Win 7 Pro to Win Pro 8.1
We recently purchased Inspiron 3847 4 to replace some machines XP being retired.
They came with Windows 7 Pro installed and a «license for Windows 8.1 Pro»
Each came with a DVD titled:
Operating system
Already installed on your computer,
Recovery media Windows 8.1 for Windows 8.1 products, 64-bit
I expected there would be a few instructions on how to upgrade 7 Pro to Pro 8.1, or with the PC or online, but so far I have not found anything. Is my only option to do a full install from the DVD? The warnings, I need to know?
Thank you very much!
No, you can upgrade. Put in the disc and choose the upgrade path (not customized) to do an upgrade of Windows 8. You can do a clean install of Windows 8 on top of Windows 7, but you don't have to. You can consider running Windows 8 analysis tool to find out if you will need additional drivers after installation or if your installed software may or may not have known problems with it.

Devices Satellite Pro L300D-110 - downgrading to XP Pro - HARD drive missing?
Hello to everyone in the Toshibe Satellite Pro - my first post forum.
I was one proud owner of other portable Tosh without any problem, but this time, I'm miserable: (o)
For professional use a few days ago, we bought a laptop Satellite Pro L300D 110 (AMD Athlon Dual Core). We bought it with the understanding that it could be brought back to XP Pro - mainly because some of the software that we use on a daily basis does not work reliably on Vista, but also because all other laptops to desktop computers in our network (including a WLAN) all running XP Pro, adding another machine that it should have been easy.
The need to do so has been confirmed by the fact, nevertheless, I tried, we could just not get the new Toshiba L300D connection through our routers so that under Vista. At the same time, we also bought a new Dell with no o/s. I installed a new copy of XP Pro SP2 OEM - and it runs under the sweet as a nut! Sorry, I digress:
I reduced the L300D to XP Pro very well using the XP Pro provided - Toshiba Recovery disk no problem at all. I had the computer connected to the network too, but then I realized that the DVD (Pioneer DVD - RW DVRTD08A ATA) is not found by Windows.
Logged in the BIOS setup - Yes, he was listed there OK, but tried some tongs and tricks I have learned over the years, I still couldn't XP Pro to the discovery of the device.
I have now reinstalled Vista on the machine and he found the DVD burner.
If it's a PC, I shut down the computer, open the case, disconnect the writer, start, stop, reconnect the device, close case and bingo. But not with perhaps a laptop...
Someone has ideas how (reliable!) downgrade to XP Pro without devices being endangered? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have two copies again more XP Pro SP2 at my disposal, if that's any use.
Kind regards
David
(> I'm happy again now: o)
Great to hear that!Just for info:
The most recent series of portable supports the newer SATA HDD controllers and so the operating system can be installed if the SATA drivers are not included and preinstalled. So if you want to use the SATA features you must first install the SATA driver.
But you can also activate SATA mode to compatibility mode (in BIOS) and this would install the Win XP without the necessary SATA drivers.Good bye

Want to 360 x (15-u011dx): try to downgrade to Win7 Pro
Has anyone got this laptop particular smoothly after downgrading from Win 7? After you change all the BIOS settings recommended and created a bootable Win7 USB Installer, I * finally * got the software based there. I finally had to destroy any single partition on the hard drive, including recoveries of the factory to do but I don't care too much as I had no intention of returning to Win8.
Now, I'll have a whale of a time finding the proper drivers. Priority 1 is network / wireless network & I swapped a specific message to this Council. All I can find on the site of HP essentially says "this laptop is optimized for Win8 you watered if you want to do something different."
Please put my mind at ease, I have an achievable goal in front of me without TOO much trouble. Thank you!

Hello:
I see no reason why you can't run W7 x 64 on this platform.
First install the chipset driver and restart.
Then, install the Intel graphics driver and restart.
Thirdly, install the audio driver and reboot.

Bluetooth:
Card reader:

That should help you get started.
Let me know if you need additional drivers, or if all drivers above didn't work.

Unknown device on X 300 after downgrading to XP Pro
Device Manager indicates an unknown device, possible identifying information is the Device Id of Instance = ROOT\MS_PSCHEDMP\0000. After the downgrade to XP Pro, I have updated all the drivers and the software by using the system update, but the unknown device is still showing. I have not yet tested Wi - Fi, but I think that everything else works fine. Everyone get this problem?
Problem solved (I think), after unknown peripheral uninstall and re-analysis of a new material, it no longer appears.

For a 15-7559 Inspiron laptop bag. Get a case 15.6 "or 16"?
I get a new Inspiron 15-7559 15.6 "laptop.
A 15.6 "or 16" laptop backpack box would be better for her?
I've been using a Swiss Gear WA-7652-14F00 15.6 "case for my current Laptop Inspiron.
Hi Naraman,
Wait until you get the new laptop and try your Swiss Gear bag. If it is to close or rub the laptop, you can order a larger case.

Intel i3 processor
I would like to know some of the GPU, I could use for the games on my rig?
Unfortunately, the video slot machine is short.12 inches long cards do not physically go in nor be 10 inches long cards.
I use a Radeon 250th R7.
http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814121800
With the upgrade PSU and R7 260 X should be fine, as long as it's a short card.

Power to the comes of power connections PCI-E on the upgraded 650W power supply. A sovereign plastic will tell you what does or does not fit. More than 8.5 inches is probably 10 to 12 inches does not work is not physically in. You can use a plastic rule to see this for yourself. 8.5 inch seems to be Max.
