After clicking on the "Download" button, I get this error: "this page contains a new Shockwave format movie that the plugin current Shockwave cannot handle. You can download some recent items of photoshop installers from here and just use the serial number of photoshop elements you have with your tablet when you perform the installation.

There must be other software that the disk of bamboo is trying to install in addition to elements of photoshop, which requires the shockwave player.

  • I just downloaded Adobe Flash Player, but the installer will not be displayed

Shockwave Flash integrated into my Google Chrome browser kept crashing, so I decided to download a Flash Player outside of Google Chrome. I downloaded and it came to the screen that says I had to activate Flash Player by double-clicking on a file called "Adobe Flash Player installer. I used the classic interface of function (I hate windows 8.1), and nothing came. I spent an hour looking for my computer. Nothing. I have re downloaded Adobe Flash Player, and this time the installer came. I thougth it's finally over! When I tried to watch a video on Crunchyroll, my good friend Shockwave Flash has crashed again. I remembered that I had to close Chrome so that Flash start running. On Chrome closing and re-openeing an another Adobe Flash Player Installer popped up and brought me to this link, once again.

Adobe - download Adobe Flash Player

I don't understand what the issue is here. After my installation attempts, nothing has changed, and the shock wave continues to crash. Does anyone know if I did something wrong, need to change a setting somewhere, or any other reason/solution for this problem. Help, please!

    Hi tomc54715868,

Flash player is bundled with google chrome and you cannot update or reinstall again outside of google chrome. To get the latest version of Flash player for chrome, you must update your google chrome. The current version is 17.0.0.169 and you can check your existing version by visiting the Flash Player Help link and click check now. And if your flash is still stuck on the last version of 17.0.0.169 in Chrome, well want to file a bug in https://bugbase.adobe.com/ with all possible details.

The Setup file you use must be the installation of a flash drive for any other browser, but not for google chrome.

  • Why Adobe Shockwave Player will not work for iSketch?

There is an online game called iSketch - which is actually a pictionary online game - that requires Adobe Shockwave Player. However, I and many other Mac users can't play for some reason any. Whenever I try to play the game, this message always appears at the top:

    "Shockwave error ."

This Shockwave animation there are errors which have caused problems of reading.

Please contact the author of this content about this problem.

Shockwave is unable to continue. »

Apparently, Mac users such as I was not able to play the game since the year last because of this problem. Today, I downloaded the latest version of Shockwave (12.1.1.151) in the hope that the problem would have been resolved, but unfortunately it didn't. I've tested to see if Adobe Shockwave Player is even working on my Mac, and Yes, it is. I tried to play the game in Safari, Firefox, and Google Chrome, but the game is always does not. I must say it's very frustrating.

Moreover, my Mac is the version OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), and Yes, the iSketch site was aware of this problem since they have been alerted to this topic last year.

I (and many others) would be extremely grateful if this problem can be solved.

    ~ NinjaRisa

Unfortunately, iSketch developers should handle this themselves. The error message suggests something wrong with their Director of film and is not something inherent to the Shockwave Player

  • failed to download adobe Flash Player 10.1

I tried to download adobe Flash Player 10.1 several times at the wire and ended up with the google toolbar.

I have Windows XP Home Edition SP3 and a Dell Computer Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.80 GHz

Note: There is a check box for any add-in (for example the Google toolbar) that PEUT be disabled when downloading and/or installing Flash® to keep them out of your system!  In addition, these supplements can be uninstalled using the Control Panel Add / Remove Programs .

For some reason, Windows Messenger was all or part of the Flash® Player open.
What you had to do was exit windows Messenger.  (Right-click on the icon of)
the task bar and click on 'Quit') you devriez also closed all browsers
(by example, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, etc.).

Download uninstaller and installer of flash, a folder or on your desktop.

Once you have installed Flash Player, go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
to test the Flash®.  The latest version is 11.2.202.228 at the moment.

Changes: Adobe has changed the Flash® Player and now, there are essentially four versions.  There are 32-bit versions and 64-bit for the ActiveX (for Internet Explorer (IE) and the plug-in version (for Mozilla, Opera, etc.).  If you use a 64-bit browser, you must install the Flash® Player 64-bit.  Note that the 64-bit Flash® installation program will install the software 32 bit If it finds a 32-bit browser installed as well.  In addition, if you use IE and browsers based plugin, you need to install the ActiveX and plugin versions of Flash® Player.  Links to Flash® installers and UN-installers course changed as their file names now consider their "bittedness".

A description of the differences between 32-bit versions of Windows Vista and 64 bit versions of Windows Vista:
         http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/946765

    You have 2 two versions of Internet explore 8 (IE8), 64-bit IE8 and IE8 32 bit. IE8 64-bit is the default value.

It is not a 64-bit version of Flash Player (at least not yet). While IE8 64 bit is your default browser, Flash contentshould open in IE8 32 bit. If you know any page contained Flash (or dependent on one or more ActiveX controls), open an instance of IE8 32 bit to access the page.

IE64-bit is a "level 2" browser Flash and ActiveX controls are supported in browsers 'level 1' (e.g., IE 32 bits). Seelevels of browser support on this somewhat linked page: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263526.aspx#section2

You should familiarize yourself with this FAQ: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/32-bit-and-64-bit-Windows-frequently-asked-questions

The following is based on a related post from my colleague MVP Don Varnau aboutFlash & IE8 32 bit:

The executable file for IE8 32 bit can be found here:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

The executable for IE8 64 bit can be found here:

    C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe

Browse to the appropriate Program Files folder and create a shortcut to this version ofiexplore.exe
    - - -
    Then using IE8 32 bit:

    1. download and save to the desktop, the Flash Player uninstaller

    2. download and save to the desktop, the Flash Player installer

    - - -
    Then...
Right click on the uninstall program, and then select run as administrator of
    Reset.
Right click on the installer, unzip it and select run as administrator
    Reset.
    - - -
    Then...
Make sure IE8 32-bit is the default open.

When you right-click on the icons of IE in the quick launch area, the Start Menu and the desktop, then click Properties, which is in the target field?

(From a previous post by Peter Csaszar... version)

    Targets should be either:
    IE8 32 bit "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
    IE8 64-bit "C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe"

Change these objectives to be "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet ' (including the quotes) and IE8 32 bit should open by default

To create a shortcut to IE8 64 bit for occasional use, navigate to the file iexplore.exe inC:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe. Right-click iexplore.exe , and then select send to. Desktop (create shortcut). Rename this shortcut so that you know this is the shortcut for IE8 64 bit.

To make sure IE8 32-bit is the default, try this link http://www.Microsoft.com. When the browser opens lookhelp | About Internet Explorer. If there is no mention of 64-bit, 32-bit is the default value. If you have disabled the Menu bar, you will need to right click on the IE toolbar and put a controlmenu bar to have help available (or simply press ALT to move focus to themenu bar temporarily).

Cannot download Adobe Flash Player om my computer with Windows 7 64 bit. Can someone help me with this problem?

Even if you are a 64-bit machine 8 default IE should be 32-bit version.  This is the version that runs on 64-bit computers by default.  If you use this version, then the problems will disappear.  As previously reported Adobe are still working on a version of Flash for 64 - bit.
