  Pls Help: My Bing Map update 'doesn't;"the Pre suppose several times I start Googlemap & displays the link informing me that I need to upgrade to HP map (Bing Maps).  When I try the download & upgrade, I can launch the application directly from the upgrade page.  But any other method to launch the card application sends me to the 'google-> Bing upgrade screen' again and will only start after re - download the app & reinstall. The next time I start the application... it fails again.

  Looking at the Device Info app, it seems that the upgrade script fails to update the list of the built-in Google maps v3.1.32 cards HP apps.  When you try to list the applications in the device information, it still shows Google Maps v3.1.32 rather than HP cards.  HP cards... is not see the same list of applications at all.

  How can I get the upgrade to ' hold?

  Note about this pre: is this pre running WebOS 1.4.5 / Sprint 2.5.   He was previously wiped out, which he put back in its original state.  Now I can't the cards to run right.  Any idea y?

  So, I have my answer.  And for ten to twelve people who are still on the Palm Pre and attempt to provide a new phone, I will set out the details here.

  For Bing Maps to stick, you need to use WebOS Doctor, assumming that at one point, you downloaded the Updater of Bing Maps app.

  I was having problems is because the process of provision of sw of cards which is taken in charge through the catalog app does not set the palm pre to replace the existing Google Map application correctly.  To do this, Palm (or HP) had used ANOTHER application called "Maps Updater."  It was that when you got the error of googlemap prompting you to upgrade, it you linked to a Web site that would allow you to supply the Bing Map app WITH this update of map app.  Now, something has changed, and what you get is a Bing map application installation.  Map update application is one that removes the references to the Google Map of default and directs to the cards instead.  Download Maps of the catalogue is NOT synonymous with downloaded Maps Updater application.  Once I run WebOS Doctor, and connected to my profile of webOS, he proceeds to download aaaaaall the apps I had already downloaded, and at that time there he downloaded and installed the backup app Maps Updater, which took place and restarted my phone and my camera set up correctly.

• Suggestion of Bing Maps when using Cadpage software.

  Hello, I am a firefighter in the State of SC. Our Department like many others in the State use a soft on our cell phones to prepare them for calls. The apps are Cadpage and Active 911. These applications provide us the type of call that we are sent to more comments of the call. It also gives us the address of the call. Right now, Google maps is the default mapping. However Google maps is not up-to-date in the area. We noticed that Bing maps are more current. However, we have a problem with the help of Bing maps. When I map the location of the call using Google maps it will automatically zoom in to about 200 feet from the location given by the Cadpage, but using Bing maps I should zoom in manually. Is there a way to fix this?

  Y at - it options of Microsofts Bing Maps, that would allow us to display real-time maps activities.  Our company has a large inventory of cattle spread over a large area and it would be nice to make a quick trip of surveillance around the place without paying someone or personally taking the time for a journey too often.  Your thoughts/solutions?

  Some countries of Bing Maps support US better than others mapping... just trying to figure out why the same address would generate different responses in different countries...

  A sound card is a physical piece of hardware, and therefore can not be downloaded. I guess you mean the driver for the sound card.

  There are a lot of HP Pavilion 5000 variations on the HP website, so I can't give you an exact link to your drivers. The best I can do is point you here:

  You must then enter your exact model No. and the Windows version * and it will take you to all the drivers available. You can then download and install them. They will be free.

  * Make sure that you choose the drivers 32 or 64-bit according to your version of Windows.
