  I could solve the problem by creating a USB bootable from the downloaded file. DMG file (which is still too too complicated).

  In disk utility, add a USB and delete all content. Once this is done, you can double-click on the dmg to mount the adobe files. From there, you can return to the disk utility, and go into the second part of the now deleted USB (probably without title if you don't rename). Click on restore and select the CD to restore from (I'm on El Capitan beta, a few different stages so that it is). It takes a bit to restore, but once it's done, you can launch the installation of the usb now.

  Surprised, I can install both CS4 and CS5.5 downloads, simply not CS5, which is what leads me to believe that the file is buggy if it is not started from a disk.

  Second question... I move to a Macbook in Windows platform. My preference would be to download a Mac version 64 bit. Am I allowed to do? Would this work with the same serial number?

  32-bit and 64-bit must have installed.

  Photoshop installs 32-bit and 64-bit shortcut in the Start Menu. If you need to manually run the application, the 32-bit version is the photoshop.exe file in the Program files (x 86) / Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS5 and 64-bit version is the photoshop.exe file in the Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS5 folder.

  Will not work. Serial numbers are the specific operating system: Windows only or Mac only.

  you usually download an extractor (exe) and archives (7z), put the two in the same directory, and then double-click the exe file which extracted the 7z and starts the installation.

  If you unzip manually, you must double click Setup.

  The problem is that CS5 is out before OSX is enhanced security setting. It causes this misleading error because it is not "signed" as a trusted application and therefore is blocked.

  You must go to your security & privacy in the Apple system preferences and set it Anywhere temporarily before opening the DMG, installation and update. After that is finished, set it to the Mac App Store and identified developers.
