Download dependent files: don't want to

Dreamweaver CS3.   Until yesterday, when I downloaded the files, I get a popup asking if I wanted to download dependent files. I'm not sure what I changed but now I don't get that. It is automatically downloaded the file that I want to AND dependent on all the files including 90% of the time I don't want to do.  What changed and how to change this back?

  • Download dependent files only once

Hello! I swear there used to be a way to get them (or put) dependent files by pressing down a certain key or something at the same time, you click on the GET or put the button, instead to turn on the prompt and having to choose to get / put dependent files each time. I want to just download a file and to obtain the dependent files for this file, just once, without having to turn on the prompt "include dependent files?" in the preferences, then go back when I'm done. It is more a way to do this?

    Thank you!

Hold down the Alt key and click on PUT - you will get the invites.  I do regularly.

ALT-click prompt =, but uncheck the option "never ask again".  Next time you will be prompted again, and you should answer NO and check the option.  This resets never ask you.

It is in the file menu of the Organizer (watched folders).
Don't include no matter what path if you do not want the Organizer to look for new files.

  • How to stop the notices for a download, that I DON'T WANT?

The last time I downloaded an update, my computer would not work properly and crashed several times. I have a better than average anti-virus program and I don't want your update and I'm tired of seeing reviews for him pop up! I can always go back to IE if you do not want my patronage.

There are some add-ons that torment you with update of fake messages that lead to malware or other problems. Please take a look at your page of modules and disable all non-essential or unrecognized modules on these two tabs:

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

Typically, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

To adjust own Firefox update settings, see this article: Advanced panel - accessibility, navigation, network, updates and other settings in advanced Firefox.

  • Download csv file don't ask where to store the file

Firefox is set to "always ask me where to save files.

I have a WebService to download a file download.csv via a POST request (must be a POST request and not a GET request due to data problems).
I use jquery.fileDownload.js on the Web site to achieve. When you press the download button, the 'Opening download.csv' screen opens with the option 'Save file' preset. After pressing OK, a window of the Explorer must take place in order to choose the location of the file. But it is NOT shown. Instead nothing more happens.

    What could be the problem?
P.S.: in other browsers it works fine.

    Hello gnittala,

    Thanks for your reply.
    1 MIMEType is set correctly.
    2. When you use this configuration, the file is downloaded correctly.

Now I discovered, what was the problem:
the jquery.fileDownload.js plugin was removing the iframe internally used too early, before the Explorer window could not be displayed. Keeping the iframe longer (at least until the Explorer window is displayed, or more easily reuse in next download call) solves the problem.

  • I don't want to download this update.

I have a list of the updates that are 'Important' to download, but I don't want to download KB968389 because it is a bad update, killed my laptop and I had to get it restored 2 times because of this. So when I stopped my laptop it will update my computer, but how can it help to install on my laptop?

Sorry for the second question. ^^

    Hello

See the method here 3 (and others as required)

First go to control panel - Windows Updates - change the settings - if the value of Let Me decide to
Download or install - APPLY / OK.

After you're done and save after reboot back to updates - run UPdater - then RIGHT CLIC on
that update and HIDE. Turn then to change the settings for automatic return.

I guess that part of the question could be a driver which is really old or similar should not be loaded.

  • Download too many dependent files.

In Dreamweaver CS5 and earlier, when I said 'yes' to download on my remote server receive files, it only downloaded a new file or changed. Now, if I say 'yes' it looks like all the files on my site and decides whether to download or not to transfer. It examines every file that is connected to the bar of navigation at the bottom of each page. I tried to let it load, unsynchronize my files and then synchronize them snack again the dates were wrong.

It is new to Dreamweaver CS6 or can someone tell me how to configure it so it can be set to download dependent files, but it does seem that the new files or changed, like all earlier versions.

    I'm working on a Windows 7 64 bit computer.

    Thank you.

    Murray-

Thanks for the reply. I used Dreamweaver because it was a baby with Macromedia, and this has never happened before. In CS6, it tried to download the whole site, not only the necessary files or the current page. I did correct the problem, see below.

    Joel-

I solved the problem by downloading differently, I did with previous versions. I hope that what I wrote below helps.

First I now checked both ask for get and put in the preferences. Now, if I declare that the dependent files must download, all (even those not newer than on the remote control) will download unless I press "Cancel". If I click on 'No to all', they always go through the process of trying to download as in the screenshot below. To prevent this, I have to say 'Yes' on the dependent files. say 'Yes' to those I want to downloaded would be files that are new or changed and then click 'Cancel' when it on demand for all other connected to this page, which included essentially all the files on my site since I was a navigation bar on each page. As I said, if I say 'No' or 'not at all', it will still go through all the files.

Now, the above works for me perfectly even if it adds a few steps.

  • Whenever I run Firefox, it starts to download a huge file that I don't want. How to stop this.

I had Firefox starts downloading a file yesterday and then changed my mind leave Firefox in the process. He asked if I wanted to cancel the download and I said yes. Now, whenever I run Firefox, it starts to download the same file 805 MB that I already have a copy from another source. I deleted everything I could find with Firefox or Mozilla in preferences and Caches as well as a few other places, but again, start Firefox and it starts downloading. Looked through the preferences of Firefox and see nothing that looks like it would fix this problem. It's Firefox OS x 35.0.1 10.10.1, in fact, it is the OS X ComboUpdate 10.10.2 it maintains keen to download, but it is already on my drive.

I would like to give your more information, but I'm in Safari, Firefox now because I don't want to waste resources to have this file to download it again. I don't have a line T1 entering my house. Sorry, but this issue should be responsible without any of this info.

  • Is there a way to block Firefox closes so that the download files? I don't want to leave the program accidentally and cut the current downloads.

  • I don't want I'm veiwing to automatically download the documents, I want low them first.

    Hello
I did an online course for the past year. I get all my work booklets from a site through my collage, in the past I clicked on booklets of work and they opened in another page, so I can read, this page gives me the possibility to print or download them to my computer if I want to. A message always used to pop up when I choose the option to download on my computer (sorry I don't know really what it says) and I always used to click Yes. There was an option to not ask this question again, so I clicked it. Now when I want to open one of these books work automatically download them to my computer and I don't want to do that. How can I get him to stop?

    Thank you Layla

My guess is that these booklets are PDF documents. Try to update your configuration to a PDF under Options > Applications such as described in this article: view in Firefox PDF files. Does it work?
