Download Flash player: Download Manager is empty

Hello world

I'm running in circles here to try to find a solution - does not get anywhere...

I'm trying to update my Flash Player to Firefox on Win7.

When I download the installer and the Adobe Download Manager opens, it shows nothing and is empty, nothing happens.

Here a screenshot:

Flash Player Download Manager.JPG

I tried to uninstall Flash Player, but the same thing happens when reinstalling.

JavaScript turned on, I checked that. Other solutions, I have google do not apply.

Thanks in advance!

WE HAVE A WORK AROUND:

Apparently, the Adobe engineers who jumped into my computer and discovered the problem haven't posted workaround...

So here it is:

1. right click on the downloaded installation program, and then select "Properties".

2. Select the tab "General".

3. at the bottom, you will see a section called 'Security' with the following text:

"This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer."

4. click on the "UNLOCK" button to the right of this text.

5. click on 'OK '.

6. run the installer!

That's all!

Somehow permissions file get mucked up for some people, and the installation program can't deal with that.  If all goes well they will fix it soon.

  • Used to install Flash Player - said the Flash Player Settings Manager is open

I can't install Flash Player on my Win7 64 bit PC. When you run the installation from the download page, I just get the error 'failed to install - unknown error. "If I run the installation of the stand-alone installer I get the message"Open Flash Player Settings Manager"and an"exit"button

I don't know what is the Flash Player Settings Manager or where to find it. It seems certainly not 'open', anywhere where I can see.

There was a discussion on this topic. The solution that many people found useful is:

    1. look for the "FlashPlayerCPLApp.cpl" file in the following folders:

    On systems 32 - bits, C:\Windows\system32

    On 64 - bits, C:\Windows\syswow64 systems

    2 delete this file.

If you do not have permission to remove the same, use a third party application like Unlocker. (http://www.emptyloop.com/unlocker/)

    3. try to install or uninstall.

  • Flash Player Configuration Manager

I'm having a problem with Flash Player 16.0.0.235.  It will not keep a setting in memory.  I continue to by clicking on "ask me before allowing new sites...» "& one day or later, it automatically returns to"allow sites to save information about this computer. "  Joint is a picture of the Flash Player Settings Manager:

    Hello

If I already set privacy and disk space options in my browser, can I do it again?

You may be aware that some Web sites works with your browser to store small amounts of data, called cookies, on your computer for their own use in the future. When you visit a Web site, for example, it can greet you by name; your name is probably stored in a cookie, and you can use the options of the browser to determine if you want cookies or not. You also may be specified in your browser that pages you visit may occupy only a certain amount of disk space.

When SWF or FLV content is read, selected for Flash Player settings are used instead of the options that you can set in your browser. In other words, even if you have specified in your browser settings that you don't want cookies placed on your computer, may asked you if an application running in Flash Player can store information. This happens because the information stored by Flash Player is not the same as a cookie; It is used only by the application and has no relationship to any other Internet privacy or security settings you have set in your browser.

Similarly, the amount of disk space you allow to use the application has no relation to the amount of disk space you have allocated for pages that are stored in your browser. In other words, when SWF or FLV content is read, the amount of disk space, you allow here is in addition to any space your browser uses for saved pages.

No matter how you may have configured your browser, you still have the option to allow or deny the application that runs in Flash Player permission to store the information, and to specify the amount of disk space the stored information can occupy.

  • Possible malware on Mac - is Adobe Flash Player install Manager application legitimate?

I have a macbook pro and I am running 10.10 OS. My browser is Safari 9.1.

Flash player NPAPI plugin version 21.0.0.242 is installed.

Flash PPAPI plugin player - is not installed.

Protection service 5/7/16-a identity to which I am subscribed sent a message saying that my Adobe password has been hacked. I changed the password.

05/15/16, 1 AM-while you browse using Safari a popup appears saying that it needed to update my flash player. (Stupidly), I clicked on "OK".  The window asked if I wanted to install the MacGuard, MacSecurity and another application. I clicked on 'no' to each, then "continue." He then asked my administrator password to install Flash Player. Well I type the password, and I closed the window we'd send her to install some files which warned me that something was wrong. At the end of the installation has changed my Yahoo homepage. I ran Malwarebytes. Malewarebytes identified some suspicious files which I deleted. Then I restarted my computer.

I just noticed a file in my Utilities folder called Adobe Flash Player install Manager. It was created on 09/05/2016 and changed 12/05/2016. I don't remember installing this application. Also, I have "notify me to install updates" and I don't remember notification.  Is Adobe Flash Player install handle (located in the folder Utilities-see below) an application legitimate or should I delete it? When I impulsively tried to remove a few minutes ago, asked me my admin password. Before we continue I hope get some forum members advice. It belongs in the utility folder or do I have to remove it using my Admin password?

    Utilities folder image.jpg

Thanks a lot for any assistance.

    Hello

Unfortunately, it does not appear you have received a notification of update of Flash Player false as MacGuard MacSecurity not the third-party products available for installation of Flash Player and the official Flash Player installer modifies not the browser's default homepage or the favorite search engine.

The official Flash Player installer has an application called Adobe Flash Player install by in the utilities directory, however, at this stage, it is difficult, at best, to know if this file was created with the Flash Player installer legitimate or not.

I have recommended to perform a clean uninstall.  See the FAQ How to perform a "clean installation" of Flash Player in Mac OS X for orientation.

  • How does the online Flash Player Settings Manager?

That's one thing, I've always been curious to know: How does the Flash Player Settings Manager ?

It's a UI SWF running in a regular reader of Flash, but there obviously access to all kinds of Flash Player settings low level, a typical SWF is not.

My first guess is that the user interface is in fact built into Flash Player, but then why would you go to visit a website to see? The SWF file is actually be served by the site Web and Flash Player's trust to the Web site to access a low level player not made public API?

As a Flash developer for many years I've just been curious about this for a long time. Now that the Manager is obsolete by the construction in the settings (which is a lot less mysterious) Manager, I thought I would ask before it is completely forgotten.

    -Aaron

Yes, the SWF is imbued with special powers, which are linked to the domain that sovereign wealth funds are served from.  The settings are basically just special LSO.

    Hi Jim,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

It doesn't seem to be a question of important security that Flash Player has been such an add-on with Internet Explorer version has been integrated into Internet Explorer 11 to work together.  For more information about option buttons, plugins or any specific setting provided in the Flash drive, I would recommend to contact Adobe support.

    Hello

Thanks for the update.  I am happy that you were able to get installed it.  Always curious to know why the EXE file does not download.  Have you checked your security settings, or maybe anti-anti-virus/firewall settings?

  • What resolution camera mode is used by the Flash Player camera settings manager

What the camera resolution is used by the camera Flash Player Settings Manager? I refer to adjustments of the device that you have to pull up with a right-click on a swf file in Flash Player that is currently running, and in the context menu, you click on settings... click on the camera... and then you can press the camera icon bit and will show you the video stream directly from the camera.

In order to view the live stream, Flash Player asks a camera resolution mode the driver. This mode is requested?

For example, it would be 160 x 120 @ 30 frames per second?

    Or is it of 176 x 144 @ 30 frames per second?

    http://www.Macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help04.html#117113

So so the default would be 160 x 120 according to the AS3 API Reference

We use a Hauppauge camera driver and the test live stream is empty in this dialog box settings of Adobe Flash Player. While we try to coordinate with Hauppauge to add support for their driver of the camera so that the dialog box settings of Flash Player can preview correctly the supply unit.

  • Windows Vista Edition and Adobe Flash Player 10 Version family.

I use Windows Vista Home Version and I find it difficult to download Adobe Flash Player 10.

It seems to have been downloaded but on the Panel, I discovered that its content is empty (no size is aportioned to it).

More important still, I can't play the videos that require adobe flash player.

Hey, glad that worked for you. This DLM sometimes causes a problem for one reason or the other.

If you have problems with the 10.3, after return. Some changes have been included. For you, with the help of IE8, I think that the only novelty is the Flash Player settings manager that you can find in the Panel. You will see the Flash Player it.

Be sure to mark your thread as answered if you would.

  • My flash player has been updated and still does not recognize that its been updated

My flash player has been updated and still does not recognize that its been updated on sites like facebook. I restarted my computer several times, tried to reinstall the latest version of flash player, active manage add ons and clicked active x (all windows instructions). But while that in facebook, I can't download the images as I used to on my old laptop, its me to download 1 by 1, because it says that I don't have the latest version of flash player, BUT I DON'T!

Flash Player in Windows 8 is embedded you do not download it and all updates are are through Windows Update. Hope this helps and if you need any additional aid station and we will be happy to help you.
