Download of large files

Hello

I do download multipart (range based), but always connection dies to halfway or after downloading first chunk with - "received tcp timed out!"

In addition,

-What should be the ideal "chunksize' to download at once?

- and what is the optimum don't. bytes read from the InputStream of the connection?

Thank you

Mukesh

"Now, when reading, in the latest iteration, if the data in the input stream is less than the length of the array readBlock then I get"tcp receive timed out.

This is perhaps due to a possible bug in your code.  I think you should break the loop whenever you do not receive a full buffer, rather than just for the-1.  So if you get 255 bytes, instead of 512 MB, I think it means that there is no additional data.  So if you run another reading later, then treatment is waiting for your server to send another piece, which of course, he does not, then you get expired.

Just a thought.

  • Time Capsule freezes when I'm downloading a large file!

    Hello everyone!

    I have a very unpleasant problem with my Apple Time Capsule 2 TB 5th generation.

    I have 2 Iphones, AppleTV and 2 Macs in my wifi network, everything works great! But when I download a large file with an Internet torrent falls after 10-15 minutes... a green LED shine on the Time Capsule, Airport utility tells that is connected to the internet, but not of my devices has the internet connection. It lasts 15 to 20 minutes and internet recovers by itself. Nothing really helps with this, I tried to restart, change the settings, but nothing helped.

    WITNESS, no errors, once again, green is connected to the internet but no internet.

    My cable modem works, if I connect my appleTV to the modem cable through the cable, it will be the connection. At the same time, if I connect my appleTV to the Capsule of time via the cable when it is frozen, appleTV won't have any connection.

    The same story if I download to the hard drive of my Mac or time Capsule.

    I have an idea that Time Capsule is overheating, but again, I don't see no error.

    I'd appreciate any help!

    Which modem cable do you have?

    Looks like it's a gateway device not a pure modem so the TC may be in evil mode?

  • Download Zip large files

    I want to download a large zip file (ranging from 10 MB to 20 MB). Miss me probably just something really simple, but if I try to get it back as an inputstream and do something with it, I just get a time-out exception.

    HttpConnection connection = null;
        ZipArchive archive = null;
        InputStream fis = null;
        try {
            connection = (HttpConnection)Connector.open(URL + "/Bryce_Canyon_National_Park.zip;");
            //HTTP Request

              connection.setRequestMethod(HttpConnection.GET);
              connection.setRequestProperty("Content-Type","//text");
              connection.setRequestProperty("Connection", "close");
              if (connection.getResponseCode() == HttpConnection.HTTP_OK)
              {
                fis = connection.openDataInputStream();
                if(fis != null){
                    archive = new ZipArchive(fis);
                    archive.readEntries();
                }else{
                    UiApplication.getUiApplication().invokeLater(new Runnable(){
                        public void run(){
                            Dialog.alert("Inputstream is null");
                        }
                    });
                }
              }

            if(fis != null){
                archive = new ZipArchive(fis);
                archive.readEntries();
            }else{
                UiApplication.getUiApplication().invokeLater(new Runnable(){
                    public void run(){
                        Dialog.alert("Inputstream is null");
                    }
                });
            }
        }

    As shown in the code I just need to use the input stream to create a ZipArchive, when I swell the zip file and save it to the device.

    Any help would be great, thanks.

  • I got 'Firefox out of the html5 offline storage space' error message download large files

    I got this message when I try to download a large file from a Web site, after a few GB have been downloaded.
    The site is a "cloud storage" with their own method of downloading, so it's not an error in Firefox, but perhaps I can fix it through some configurations. I tried to change some words: the configuration settings, but it does not work.
    Please, I need to know how to increase this space, or if there is a way to clear this cache without closing the browser (I see the partial file, I am downloading to grow up in a personal folder outside the temporary folders in Firefox, so I think that the cache is not necessary after all).
    Thanks in advance.

    See:

    Firefox has no limit on the size of the IndexedDB database. The UI will just ask permission to store BLOBs larger than 50 MB. This quota of size can be customized through the dom.indexedDB.warningQuota preference

  • Remote hp AIO cannot retrieve or download the scanned file

    I scanned with my Ipad a big file as a result of more than 35 MB.

    I can't get the digital file download does not work (I tried with Google Drive and Dropbox). I don't know if the problem is wireless, the ipad or the software.

    I thought that I ignore this problem and just connect my Ipad to my Windows 7 desktop computer and download the file directly. Couldn't be more reasonable.

    But when I connect the Ipad files scanned locally on AIO HP Remote does not show up on Itunes.

    My files are caught in the trap in the ipad. Any help please?

    Thank you

    Hi and thanks for your response.

    Yes, what you hear is correct.

    I looked at other options you say (not for rescan in small pieces, however, is too long and too busy). I continued to try. Finally, at one point I had a suspicion on the automatic locking of the Ipad since I don't have any message of error on the HP software.

    So I disabled the lock and try again. It worked!

    Maybe HP could think to disable automatic locking when downloading a large file. If it does not already exist, as they might consider a way to download locally since the Ipad to another device via a cable ([Yes, they still exist:-]!).

    Thank you

  • Very large file upload > 2 GB with Adobe Flash

    Hello, anyone know how I can download very large files with Adobe Flash or how to use SWFUpload?

    Thanks in advance, any help will be much appreciated.

    If the error comes from php there is a server limit, not a flash limit.

    you will need to edit your php.ini or .htaccess file download limit.

  • on the large file download problem. Pls help. Thank you very much

    Hello.

    My application got a function is the downloading of files. App works when I download a small file (like a video (4 MB)).

    But had a problem about large file download.

    1. when I try to open a video file (size: 30 MB) use the code below, it cost much too much time to open it, how to optimize? :

               FileConnection fc = (FileConnection) Connector.open("file:///" + filePath);
                InputStream is = fc.openInputStream();
                ByteArrayOutputStream baos = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
                int j = 0;
                while((j=is.read()) != -1) {
                    baos.write(j);
                }
                postdata = baos.toByteArray();

    2. What is the file size limitation in by Httpconnection? HTTPConnection may transfer a large file (like 30MB video)?

    Any smaple can share to me?

    Thank you very much.

    In addition to what maghue gave you, I would recommend you rework your logic so that you don't send a 30 MB of data in a single shipment.  That's a lot of have to fire if it fails and this defect, especially on a WiFi connection not, chances are high enough, that I would have thought given the time it will take.

    In addition, the approach you've taken means that you have a buffer of 30 MB, as the transport mechanism to send the file.  You could reduce the memory required by a small segment of both reading and write in the http connection output stream, but that will always force the http connection to have a 30 MB buffer, which may have to be contiguous (depending on how it is implemented).  Normally transmission is not made until you ask the response code, so it will be stamped on the device.

  • Intel Centrino Advanced N6200 AGN wifi hangs Envy 17 whenever I try to download large files.

    I have a brand new 3D Envy17 Win7 Professional x 64.  First of all, I noticed a problem trying to download a movie on iTunes and has spent a week relocation/installation/configuration iTunes thinking that was the problem.  Then, I tried to make a transfer of internal file between 2 PCs on my network and the locked up HP.  I understand that any time I try to transfer a large file (~ 1 GB + /), the download speed starts to slow down and then the machine freezes forcing me to do a hard reboot.  It's absolutely maddening!  There is no warning and no error message.  Only, it does more (hardware and software).

    I seem to have the most recent driver.  I played a bit with the settings of the adapter and even on my router (which works very well with all the other material on the network).

    If it's a hardware failure, I think it would be more erratic and lock up regardless of the size of the file?  Nothing special on the PC; MS Office 10, Adobe X, iTunes, Quickent, etc.

    I tried to remove and reinstall the driver and anything else I can find loading thath looks like it passes through wifi, including disabling the driver for wifi miniport Ms.

    I am at a total loss.  Admittedly, this is not characteristic of one of the high-end of HP PC?  Help!

    Hi, I encountered the same problem, and after trying several different driver versions I finally found the 13.1.1.1 driver works for me. No more broken downloads and gels!

    Hello

    the two options are

    -with the help of an animation give it does not take too much resources and hide to return
    -with the help of a window glass

    5.3.3 How blocks the entry of the user interface during execution of event

    There may be times where you don't want the user to be able to interact with the user interface while a long-term event. For example, suppose your application uses a button to submit an order, as part of the treatment includes creating a burden on the user account. If the user was accidentally press the button two times, the account would be charged twice. By blocking the user interaction until the process server is completed, you ensure that no erroneous customer activity can take place.

    The ADF Faces JavaScript API includes the function AdfBaseEvent.preventUserInput. To avoid any user input while the event is the treatment, you can call the preventUserInput function, and a window glass will cover the entire browser window, preventing the additional entry until the event completed a round trip to the server.

    You can use the function preventUserInput only with custom events, the events triggered in a custom client script or events triggered in a custom client component peer. In addition, the event has spread to the server. Example 5-7 shows how you can use preventUserInput in your JavaScript.

    Example 5-7 blocking entry UI

    function queueEvent (event)
    {
    Event.Cancel (); cancel the action event
    source var = event.getSource ();

    var params = {};
    Type = "customListener"; var
    immediate var = true;
    isPartial var = true;
    var customEvent = new AdfCustomEvent (source, type, params, immediate);
    customEvent.preventUserInput ();
    customEvent.queue (isPartial);
    }

  • I can't download large files on PutLocker via Firefox or FireFTP, it works very well for an hour or two and then goes to 0% and start again?

    I managed to download the three files (800-950MB) to PutLocker about a month ago using Firefox. But lately, download a similar file, after an hour or two returns an I\O Error #2038. I tried to use FireFTP, but no luck. It seems that, after a while, that the connection is reset, in the log section, I see that username and password are obtained and the upload again. Same file was uploaded correctly without any problems by using a different browser.

    I run Firefox 26.0 on SP3 of Windows XP Professional Build 2600. And the FireFTP is v 2.0.17.

    Edit: Here's what, in my view, could be the problem. I tried with Bitshare FireFTP and after almost 7 hours of downloading I got in the newspaper:

           PASV

    227 entry Passive Mode (199,80,55,133,53,156)

          APPE filename.mp4

    150 accepted data connection

    I think that this CALL could be the problem, I never had with PutLocker. But I don't know how to solve this problem.

    What is CALL? Try to do this in turn;

    Clear the Cache Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'Clear now'

    and

    Delete Cookies Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

    If there is still a problem,
    Launch Firefox in Mode safe

    Use several programs listed below
