Intel Centrino Advanced N6200 AGN wifi hangs Envy 17 whenever I try to download large files.
I have a brand new 3D Envy17 Win7 Professional x 64. First of all, I noticed a problem trying to download a movie on iTunes and has spent a week relocation/installation/configuration iTunes thinking that was the problem. Then, I tried to make a transfer of internal file between 2 PCs on my network and the locked up HP. I understand that any time I try to transfer a large file (~ 1 GB + /), the download speed starts to slow down and then the machine freezes forcing me to do a hard reboot. It's absolutely maddening! There is no warning and no error message. Only, it does more (hardware and software).
I seem to have the most recent driver. I played a bit with the settings of the adapter and even on my router (which works very well with all the other material on the network).
If it's a hardware failure, I think it would be more erratic and lock up regardless of the size of the file? Nothing special on the PC; MS Office 10, Adobe X, iTunes, Quickent, etc.
I tried to remove and reinstall the driver and anything else I can find loading thath looks like it passes through wifi, including disabling the driver for wifi miniport Ms.
I am at a total loss. Admittedly, this is not characteristic of one of the high-end of HP PC? Help!
Hi, I encountered the same problem, and after trying several different driver versions I finally found the 13.1.1.1 driver works for me. No more broken downloads and gels!

I would like to upgrade my laptop to work on the Strip fi wi 5 mhz. Are there any recent changes or updates to this issue? The last time I checked the module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 WLAN 670691-001 was the only one to try, but I would like to know if it's always an option that will work or is there another method that works?
I need to move to 5 mhz to enjoy my internet service.

Code of Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 AGN 43
I'm having a similar problem as a guy in another thread here. However, these generic answers did not help, I tried them all several times for weeks.
The problem persists. This equipment is installed in my Toshiba Satellite A665, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Here is my report of the problem:This adapter creates two "Microsoft Miniport adapters WiFi" without which the adapter does not work correctly. Sometimes, if you use the laptop for an extended period of time (4 + hours usually) miniport adapters get the point yellow exclamation and during the inspection, they spit on a code 43, and I lost the internet connection.I found a way to work around this problem, to fix it without having to restart the notebook: open Device Manager, click on ' Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6200 AGN and turn her off. " There are usually 3-4 turns of this manual reset to solve the problem.Run the troubleshooter Wireless does the same thing: resets the adapter, but does not solve the problem.- I ran the windows update, everything is up-to-date.
- I searched drivers, everything is up-to-date.
- Problems running windows wireless has no effect.
- I uninstalled and reinstalled the device a dozen times, without success.
- I disabled network adapter power management settings.
- I moved and changed ISP, internet dial-up SPEED, modem, router, etc., and it STILL happens. Firmware is updated.
Nothing has worked. It appears here and on the Intel site looking around, there are a few problems with this adapter and windows 7 64-bit. I don't know where the problem lies, but the problem exists. If no help other than what I mentioned that I did already here would be appreciated, and if it is impossible to help, pointing me in the right direction would help as well.Thank you.I found that my neighbors have the same router channel as I did. After changing my router and the channel on the adapter, speedtest.net showed the immediate fix.

Can not solve the problems of connection with Wifi (Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6205) card
The card Wifi on my X 220 (Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6205) gave me so much trouble, I'm about to give up on this and buy another laptop.
In general, the connection to any hotspot Wifi in any location is quite unreliable. It looks like it is connected for a while.
And several times a day, sometimes several times per hour, I have to go to the Intel Wifi connection utility and click "Repair" to force the card to renew the IP address. This resets the connection and run for awhile again until I do more.
In recent weeks, I tried everything I could think of. I uninstalled the drivers, installed the latest drivers from the Lenovo Web site, then tried those on the Intel site. Those who are a little more reliable, but the problem persists.
If the drivers of card/can't be fixed, is there a chance to get Wifi to work again if I buy another Wifi card and install it? Should which card I try? Can be installed without sending it to Lenovo?
Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello world
In recent months, I use a 8570w Elitebook.
I can't tell you when the problem started, but as soon as I unplug the notebook from the power supply and WLAN is enabled, I get a blue screen after a while. Sometimes, but not this oftehn, I encounter this problem even when the laptop is connected to the power and WLAN is enabled.
I could not determine when exactly this blue screen, but it's certainly the WLAN (Bluetooth is disabled in the BIOS for the moment). It happens most of the time when I'm under two or more virtual machines with VMWare Workstation (version 9.0.2).
The WIFI card is an Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6205. I tried several drivers (mid-2012 at the latest in April 2013) with a complete uninstall of the previous drivers. Without success. Operating system is Win 7 SP1 64 bit.
Google helped me a bit and I found an Intel forum where people are describing almost the same problem with these Intel WLAN modules.
Checked the Knowledge Base of HP and I am just find more messages do not deal with the new modules.
Should I consider replacing the WLAN (guarantee) card? Someone knows the same issue and was able to find a solution/workaround?
All opinions are appreciated.
Thank you
JerryHello world
Finally, I have launched the Intel WLAN module and replaced by a Broadcom module (HP spare part number: 669832-001, Broadcom model: BCM943228HM4L) with the driver version: 6.30.223.228 (05.02.2014).
This solved my problem of blue screen. Intel (same as last) drivers do not work with the configuration I have on my Elitebook 8570w and I gave up to find an another software/driver associated solution. In recent weeks, I can run multiple virtual machines in VMWare (9.0.4) without problems.
Hope this information is of help to anyone who is struggeling with the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 WLAN module.
Cheers, Jerry

Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6205 intermittent dropouts
We have big problems with this particular adapter in our environment. We receive intermittent dropouts. The connection will freeze and stop responding to the point where you have to do a windows repair or restart the adapter to operate again. You can be connected for a whole day without any problem, or it can happen randomly for example after 20 minutes to be connected. Nearby, other devices e.g. an agn intel 5100 and 5300 work perfectly.
You get no indication that the connection is interrupted and the adapter in the systray looks as if it is still transmitting packets but affecting no. Cisco WCS troubleshoot does no problem. Events in debugging stop and not start again until you do a repair on the machine.
Support Intel and Lenovo were really unnecessary (they basically do not want to know, supported service), so now I'm on Cisco, just in case it's a configuration problem, which I do not think it is as we have not reported all issues with other guests.
On the sides of the machine, we have:
Lenovo x 220 Tablet with adapter mini pci-e Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6205.
Also happening with Fujitsu T730 tablets also with mini cards pci-e Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205
We have tried all versions of driver intel of the last 14.2.0.10 down to the OEM versions provided.
they are under Windows XP SP3. We have also tried with Windows 7 and get similar questions.
We use Windows Wireless Zero Configuration, WPA2-AES with PEAP and authentication (computer) against Cisco ACS v5.2 talk to the AD of the machine.
On the side of wireless infrastructure, we have:
Cisco 1142N APs (-E - K9) connected to batteries of 3750G w/poe
The controller is a model of 3750G - 24 - WS - 50 running version 7.0.116.0
managed by the WCS.
The wireless, 20 mhz channels on 1,6,11 on the side of 2.4 ghz (N is off), but we have N activated with channel 40 mhz on the 5 GHz with all countries UK channels.
The machines to connect to up to 300 MB/s and the quality of the signal is excellent. Density of the PA is high enough in the room. DCA, PTC power control and Tx are active and set to automatic.
Can't think of more in detail to include, but I have ideas that anyone can have.
Hi all
I wanted to shed light on this topic. We are aware of a problem with connection on the Intel 6205 legs specifically. The problem will be resolved in the drivers Intel 15.1. The cause has to do with omission of the acknowledgement of receipt a package when the MFP Infrastructure is enabled, then the current workaround is to disable the MFP infrastructure.
If you can, please try to disable Infrastructure MFP and test connectivity from the client.
-config wps infrastructure disable mfp
Kind regards

Signal wireless Intel Centrino Advanced N 6300 turns is not on
Hi, I recently bought a new WiFi adapter for my laptop, which ended up being the Intel Centrino Ultimate N 6300. I uninstalled my current Qualcomm Atheros AR5B125 it is out of my laptop and jumped into the new Intel card. I have attached the antennas and pulled up my laptop. I copied the drivers via a USB on my laptop and install without problem. But then the WiFi signal would not turn on. I restarted my laptop nothing doesn't. By pressing the switch WiFi on my laptop does not respond and Windows flashing wireless option is grayed out in Mobility Center. When you run manual tool from Intel it's equipment and pilot tests successfully, but radio test fails. Does anyone know if I can fix it, or did I just waste my money? Also, the laptop is a HP Pavilion G6.
Well it is not compatible, but thanks for the help anyway banhien.

I wanted my laptop supports wifi 5 GHz networks so I can get faster speeds of the internet. After having carefully read as published in below url and pasted below, page support manuals I buy centrino 6230 and to my surprise, I advanced receieved the message unsupported.
http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02987282
This manual indicates that N6230 is supported in WLAN module. However, when I reboot post install, I got WLAN unsupported (702) message and forced me to go back to my old WLAN card. Also I have the i5 processor on my laptop and the bios to F.28. I refer whitelist and so on. But why the WLAN as supported in the repair manual mentioned when it does not support and al.
I have a surprise here as my number of product points me
HP Pavilion dv4t-4100 (LW934AV)
and my computer information as computer shows dm4 laptop and if I check on hp support site dm4 - x 100 series comes, so finally that is my model laptop and al? DM4 or dv4?

Satellite L500 (PSLJTE) - Intel Centrino Advanced n 6230 does not.
Hello
I replaced the original realtek wireless card with an Intel 6230, but it does not work.
After power on the wireless led on the front control remains empty.Windows (7 professional 32-bit) drivers install fine, but said:
"hw radio switch is off.FN + f8 does not, in the bios wireless com sw is activated.
The card is fully functional in another laptop (samsung r528 (same chipset))
Is it all gace, or will there be an update of the BIOS for this?
I agree with Akuma that it seems that the new WLan card is not fully compatible.
Usually, the Fn + F8 activates and deactivates the WLan functionality and if it does not, then you will not be able to switch on the wireless LAN.Just a question: some wireless cards can be activated in the Wlan card properties.
Check Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tabBut seems you'll need to switch to another card Intel.

I recently bought a 12 XPS with windows 8 x 64 preinstalled. I was not able to maintain a stable connection to my WLAN. However, 7 other devices (laptops, etc.) are all connected without problem. Only the troubled computer runs W8. I have the latest drivers for the Centrino chipset and the ProSet (and everything else) download from Dell on March 14. Sometimes it connect, but after a few minutes it disconnects again. Sometimes I media disconnected and other times a limited connection where the DHCP Server data could not be collected. Seems very irrational!
The configuration is default Dell. Any ideas?
I downloaded the latest drivers from Intel and a clean installed (actually it didn't work after 3 installs!) I also changed the channel on the router to 11. Now, it seems to work. I suspect that the problem is caused by the driver in W8, but never less the drivers provided by Dell did not

can I put an Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6230 in my dv7 6c00ed
I want to improve the performance when you use the network and BT together
Hello:
Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.
http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03043778.PDF
There is no support dual band wireless cards.
The Intel 6230 has the wrong room number, and no one on the forum or HP knows the right, or if the 6230 is a mistake and not supported at all.
Others have tried to install the other Intel 6230 with different numbers of HP parts, and nobody has succeeded.
There of nothing you can do, as the unsupported cards are locked out of BIOS and the only cards that work are those indicated in the maintenance manual, and they must have the part number HP on them or will not work.
