17 updates Windows 7 to 14/10/2014 crossed without any problem for my two Dell computers, but have created a loop forever on my computer HP 64 bytes 6. After at least 6 attempts were that I applied 'fixed' and other solutions, I gave up. Microsoft says 5 17 Fail but it keeps the 17 updates again download which makes me believe that HP has restore files before 17 downloads.

Once Windows restarts by itself. I saw the following message: "Windows loading files.

Then I see a message: "Startup Repair is checking your system for problems.

"Repair attempt.

It takes 15 minutes to run and gives me the following information:

"Root cause found. Critical file D: \Windows\system32\drives\AHCIX64S start. SYS is corrupt. Repair of files.

System then restarts and I get the message there are 17 updates to download.

I had time on my hands and decided to try Windows 7 new updates and they went through without any problems. Have you tried the HP updates before attenpting Window 7 but show that there is no update. Someone has found the solution.

You're not real specific-, but the basic answer to your question is to find a list of the updates through the catalogue and download/save to some media. Integrate as much as possible in support of installation that you plan to use after the date of 'dead' of the then 13 year operating system and several.

Drivers are not the responsibility of Microsoft unless it happens to be Microsoft hardware. Go through the manufacturer (and it is possble the manufacturer will be * no * drivers for older operating systems supply - like XP.)

Do you have the CAL 25-character product key during installation? If so just select Yes when you are prompted to replace the key that the key of your COA will be there where the prompt:

This will replace the key on your COA (which would need Microsoft activation phone) with the Dell SLP found in the installation/reinstallation DVD factory Dell and requires no activation of any phone or internet.

The key on the COA and the Dell SLP key are for Windows only, they do not affect Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office can be activated on a non-active Windows but theres little point activate Office until Windows is activated.
