Dreamweaver CS4 'Put', 'Get' and other grayed...

I downloaded CS4 http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html

I transferred my site and can I view and edit, but my items are grayed out (ie the put & get more much more) so I can't save, any ideas?

Hi David,

I changed something then just click it to stop him and he asked me if I wanted to save.

Problem solved.

Cheers, Chris.

  • Dreamweaver to SFBC (FTP and other gripes)

I 'get' the potential benefits of moving to the Dreamweaver CFB. I watched all the videos and read the manual, and I love the integration with Flex.

    BUT

It seems that very little attention was put into the FTP and synchronization tools...

    Ideally:

I want to set the FTP address for each project destination (at the moment even if he asks me from the subdirectory, it shows me the root of higher level and I have to go down every time to the destination I want to download)

I don't want to see or have capacity on my default edit remote files.

Accidents happen and I would have preferred that the bitterness locally.

Accidental deletion of a directory remotely could be disastrous.

When the FTP client is busy, the rest of the IDE falls asleep.  Dreamweaver this sorted there are two versions.

It seems that no way to stop the interaction with the remote server.

So, up to what these questions (fairly basic) back in order. I ill probably use FB to playing with CF9 and return to Dreamweaver to use their robust FTP tools.  (which leaves just me with the version control issues now that I have to put my sources FB files in the wwwroot in my local server). Once again a real pain!

All the world is these problems - or worked out how to get around them?

    R8_UK

R8_UK, I hear your concerns, and they are quite common. I hope I can answer

(and solve) some of them here for you.

First of all, I use the FTP feature all the time and he never makes the IDE

"sleep". You can enable the display of progress (window > show)

view > other > General > progress). It will tell you what is happening in the FTP

the processes are running. It will include also other processes past in the

Editor in Chief. You might be surprised to find something else causing the "sleeps" you

    sense.

As you say "it shows me the root of higher level and I have to drill."

"to every time to the destination I want to download", again I have not

not have this problem. Are you not only made a mistake to implement the

FTP connection? Of course, change them are difficult. Go to the

Display of the file, and you will see what connections FTP (FTP or SFTP)

    you did.

Or do you mean that you use the view of the files and that is when opening which

He did you get off? Well, you don't need to do. You can

instead connect your project to an FTP connection (whether in the project

Properties and its section synchronization, or just with a right-click

anywhere in the project and select Synchronize > create new synchronize

    Connection).

If you do this, then it also solves a common complaint I've heard of some,

that it is complicated to transfer FTP in CFBuilder. Well, I just like it should

Click on the file (or space of the editor to download the file, I am working

on, such as after the change and test locally), then choose

    Synchronize > download. Bang, done.

There is also a more evolved "synchronize" feature that allows you to do more

(including by comparing the contents of a local file remotely, that comes)

in really practical). There is a still more advanced in interface

Window > overview > other > HTML Standard views > synchronize Explorer. The last two

closer than two tiles local/remote management interface

the files than some expected for the DW.

Of course, different people have different needs for FTP access. You have

say you want to edit the file directly on the remote server. I hope

what I share above you help. But those who do not like to edit on the remote control

(indeed, at their own risk) server will moan that they wish that they have

do this simple manual effort to download it again: they want to save

load. I don't know if we can ever than waiting in a local

project in Eclipse. It goes right against the grain of the best development

practices and this is an area where it is maybe a good thing if the IDE

    a goodbye that grows.

So far, however, they can indeed use file display, which provides

direct access to a remote server and its files. With this, you open the

remote file in the IDE, and when you save it, he pushed immediately to the

    Server.

Hope this helps you (and others) with your dismay with SFBC

and FTP. Come on in, the water's fine. (But I grant you that it is a parent

statement. If you're still not sold, keep stressing your concerns.)

  • 9 of DreamWeaver (CS3) - onOpen.htm and other errors

    Hello

I've been using DW9 for a few years now.  And this week suddenly encountered errors that I couldn't explain.

I was updating a library file.  When I chose to update all the files using the library file, DW started running through a folder and update of files I have never seen before (configuration/commands).

I stopped the process almost immediately, but I think that the damage was done.

Now wheneven I open a file, save a file, paste the code, try to use my SPry menu or almost no matter what else, I get an error.

I have to click OK twice before the error disappears, and then usually DW what it is supposed to.

Except with my SPry stuff.  They just don't do anything.

    EXAMPLE: -.

When I paste the code, I get an error like this...

"While executing onLoad in PasteFireworksHTML.htm, a JavaScript error occurred."

When I opened one of my HTML or PHP files, I get...

"While executing onLoad in design Notes_onLoad.htm, a JavaScript error occurred."

There are many more like these.

I opened some of these files in Notepad to see if I can see what is causing errors, but I don't see anything.  The files show also that they have been published and still show the original update of 2007.

    I can't work like this.

    Is there a solution?

Found - had to do a little research

    Hi all

I have the following problem: I am a new user of Dreamweaver CS4. I am trying to build a simple website with a database with Dreamweaver and XAMPP. For now the site is called "router".

I do the following: in Dreamweaver, I click on Site-> new Site; I enter the name of the site ('router') and the address ""http://localhost/router";" then I click on 'Next' and then "Yes, I want to use a server technology" and I choose "PHP MySQL"; and then "Next", then "Edit and test locally (my test server is on this computer)" and then I selected for the storage folder "C:\xampp\htdocs\router". then 'Next', then for URL I type "http://localhost/router" and when I click on "Test URL" I get "Dreamweaver cannot use the prefix you have entered to display live data. Please, check the configuration of your site or click Help for more information on how to solve this problem. (HTTP error: 12150) »

I didn't have Internet Information Services is installed initially, and I discovered that if it is not installed, it may cause this error, so I installed it, but I still get the error. No idea what can be causing this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Could you change the URL:

And see what happens.  There is an extra forward slash [/] at the end of the URL

After back if this does not work.

  • Dreamweaver CS4 unexpectedly

    Hello!
I downloaded the demo of Dreamweaver CS4 (ADBEDRWVCS4_LS1.dmg) - English Version for MAC on my desk. The instalation was ok, but as soon as I have lunch application, the DW start screen appears and then stops with the following message:

    The Dreamweaver application quit unexpectedly.
Mac OS X and other applications are not affected.

The problem seems to be documented here:
    http://KB.Adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb405911
but I followed this guide and I keep the same error...

Then I downloaded the other cs4 products and they work fine... (I even install the trial version of dreamweaver cs3 and works ok...) the problem is built with dreamweaver cs4 4117...

    I have a Macbook 2.2 Intel Core 2 Duo, 1 GB SDRAM and Mac OS X 10.5.5

I really wanted to try this version cause Im really interested on the new live feature... hope is something with a quick fix...
    Thanks in advance!
    CLG

    Fact! I took me forever!
Here's the thing... Even if I fix the permissions... aparently there is a problem with systems that where Tiger and updated for leopard... The question never manifested for me in any other way until they know...
I check my folder of the application and I found an unknown group in the area of authorisation...
to get rid of him, I did:

    -Log in as an administrator.
    -Open the Terminal (in/Applications/Utilities).
-Type the following commands, each on a single line and followed by return (enter an administrator password when prompted):

    sudo dscl. Create/Groups/username GroupMembership username

sudo dscl. change/Groups/username RecordName username _username

Replace "username" in italics with your account (which is also the name of the user Home folder in the users folder). Be sure to include the underscore character "_" before your username in the second command.

    I found on: http://support.apple.com/kb/TA25100?viewlocale=en_US

    and then this:
Run the following commands from the terminal to an admin account... copy and paste commands in a terminal window.

    sudo chown-r root: admin/applications
(This will reset the ownership on / default system applications.)

You will need to enter your admin password at his request. You won't see anything when you enter. These tasks may take a few minutes to complete, so just wait - there is no progress dialog box. Depending on how long the execution takes you will need to re-enter your password. Wait for the prompt to return before you enter commands.

    next

    sudo chmod-r g + w + X/applications
(this should set the permissions correctly unix)

    next

    sudo chmod - RN/applications
(this will remove all ACLs of everything in / applications)

    next

sudo chmod + one "everyone denies delete" / applications/Applications/Utilities
(this will put the ACL needed return to which they belong)
    that I found on http://tech.kateva.org/2008/09/permissions-bug-in-os-x-105-unable-to.html

then I install dreamweaver cs4... and I almost cry when I see the boot! :)
Now, I'll give a try! hope was worth it! :)
    and hope this helps anyone!

  • Dreamweaver CS4 errors, Spry widget does not. Help, please!

I remodel a website and downloaded the this contact page html file. I opened it in Dreamweaver and I started getting this error. I opened the html file has some JavaScripts inside and I think, the scripts had a conflict with Dreamweaver CS4. I already deleted these files, I tried to open it and I always meet these errors.

These are the errors I get:

    1. when I open Dreamweaver, this pop-up message:
"While executing onLoad in RecordsetFind.htm, the following JavaScript error has occurred:
    In the file "RecordsetFind".
    findRs is not defined. »
    2. I click OK. Then I get this message:
"While executing onLoad in design Notes_onOpen.htm, the following JavaScript error has occurred:
    In the file "Notes_onOpen Design".
    onOpen is undefined. »
    3. I just click OK. When I open a html file to edit or create a new, this error pops up again:
"While executing onLoad in design Notes_onOpen.htm, the following JavaScript error has occurred:
    In the file "Notes_onOpen Design".
    onOpen is undefined. »
    4. I shall yet once just click OK, then this error:
"The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
ColdFusion.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
SpryWidget.htm: has configuration information that is invalid. »
5 then, I will just click OK again. Then, when I'm working with projects or create a new project with Spry, it does not work properly. I got the code and update the list Spry or content manually.
    6. when I close Dreamweaver, I always have this error:
"While executing onLoad in TeamAdminTempDelete.html, the following JavaScript error has occurred:
    In the file "TeamAdminTempDelete".
    delTempFile is not defined.

I tried to uninstall the Dreamweaver and install again, but it did not work.

What should I do to make the spry works again and remove all those annoying errors? Furthermore, all my Spry widgets do not work and these errors I encounter in all the Sites that I'm trying. How can I make it work again? I tried the search problems in CS4, but I couldn't see one, only in CS3.

    Help, please.

  • Problems of Dreamweaver CS4 on Windows 7

Recently got a new computer running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, I reinstalled Dreamweaver CS4 32 bit and copied all the files data for my sites on my old computer running Windows XP Professional. The data on the XP machine files were located in Documents and Settings / My Documents/Web site on the Windows 7 machine I put the site in Documents / My Documents/Web site.

When I open Dreamweaver on the Windows 7 machine and use Site Manager to add the site to the repository and try to view the site in Firefox or Internet Explorer preview will load the page however no style sheet information load only the Javascript for my Gallery work. I checked the source references and it of the same on the Windows 7 machine and the XP machine. Thinking it was just a matter of a broken link source (even if the images in the Gallery appear correctly in Dreamweaver) I added images from the source to the gallery in Dreamweaver on Windows 7 computer. When I went to the preview of the browser once more the Gallery did not work.

I also noticed that the options and sometimes signs disappear and reappear not until the program is closed and then reopened.

Is there a compatibility issue with Dreamweaver CS4 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 which would cause this kind of problem?

Have you set up your site in DW on new computer - Site > new Site?

  • In Dreamweaver CS4 runtime error

When you try to start working with Dreamweaver CS4 I get a runtime error

    error.jpg

After building a site of the div and css and registering I had no problem. After closing the computer and start working the next morning, I got the error. I restarted my computer, clean my registry but still get the error.

Someone did he do no what to do? Help, please.

It is impossible to work without Dreamweaver.

    John

This is the folder of personal Configuration inside the Application data. Thus, the hidden files are enabled.

I'm pretty sure that Dreamweaver does not have a preference on Windows file. Instead, the Configuration folder stores all of your preferences. I suggest to rename the Configuration folder. Frequently, which solves the problems with start-up and crashes.

  • Site created in Dreamweaver CS4 Web is not look right in CS6

I used to have an old version of Dreamweaver (CS4 I think) and my laptop got taken out by a lightning.  I had to buy Dreamweaver CS6 and I have loaded to the top of my website (hard disk files), but the pages don't look right - wrong colors, evil, lack of text fonts, buttons, not displayed correctly etc.  any help gratefully received!

Thank you for your response.  I managed to solve the problem - it was just me no use is not in the new version!  My apologies for wasting your time.

  • Get and Put functions are grayed out, outside, in the window, in that I work.

The button Get / Put in the toolbar, I get this:

    The shortcut should still work.

Try to clear the cache of the program and see if it brings back: removing a corrupt cache file

If not, you may need to restore preferences: preferences restore | Dreamweaver CS4, CS5, CS6, CS5.5

Worst case, a total reinstall using the vacuum tool would give you a new installation of 100%: use of the cleaning tool CC to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6

my site is using dreamweaver cs4, I can copy all my and put them in dreamweaver cs6 without any problem?

The simplest way to use CS6 on a former site of CS4 on the same computer would be of...

    1. open CS4 and choose Site > Manage Sites

    2. Select the site and choose export

    3. This will create a your site settings .ste file (no site file is stored in this)

    4 close the CS4 and open CS6

5 CS6 hit Site > Manage Sites > import to bring these parameters from the .ste file

This will give you the same exact settings (FTP and otherwise) of CS4 in CS6 while using the same files the.

If you use another computer together, you will need to make a copy of your local site on the new machine folder, and then export/import the .ste as above with an extra step possible Reassociation the local site on the new machine folder, if the structure/location of the file is not the same between machines.

  • Dreamweaver CS4 and Windows 8

I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 8.  I'm a private person who manages three sites using Dreamweaver CS4, one for a school and two nonprofit organization...  Local display contains all of the files on my disk instead of only the files in the files belonging to each Web site.

    Is this a compatibility issue?

    Can anyone offer assistance?

    neon700

When you configure the Local root folder, make sure that DW is to put the right way. I know that there is a glitch in DWCS4 that would essentially "on upward directory" folder even if you asking in the right place and click OK. (until a few weeks ago, I was still using DWCS4 and fought this issue whenever I made a new site)

Go to your site broken using Site definition > Manage Sites > change

    Click the Advanced tab

Look at the text file box root Local. That's where DWCS4 love missing his shot upward. If the root folder of your site was supposed to be C:\Users\yourname\Desktop\Folder1 it will probably show C:\Users\yourname\Desktop instead. You should be able to change this manually by adding appropriate after the folder name.

Otherwise, the way to fix when you make a new site is to navigate to the correct location, twice when adding the local root folder in the Site definition process. Usually, he'll get the correct location on the second attempt.

  • Interactive PDF Web sound-problems buttons will not play on the other, and ugly gray boxes are visible

When I export my interactive pdf file and open the html or swf file, it works exactly as I want it, but it works on my computer because I have all the links and resources on my computer included in a zip file. The only way I can get others to see it seems to be downloading the zip on dropbox and others who download and then extract files, which is not practical. I would like to integrate the interactive pdf on a Web site or a blog, so it does not directly on the page without having to download all the recources publishes the new web feature seems it might be a good solution, but when I try to publish, it is not working properly users.

    Screenshot (148).png

My project is to play several audio files on the other, so if a user clicks a button sound is read, and if you click on another button, the first sound will not stop, they will play together. So, for example, if you click on the top button, a beat will play, and if you click on the guitar slot, a guitar sound will play on the beat. It works fine on my computer in the swf or html file, but for some reason any when I publish it to the web, it will only play a sound at the same time. The pace will just stop playing if you click on one of the instruments, which makes the entire project useless. Another problem is that I can't seem to remove the gray boxes without taking away his ability to make it sound. The first photo is that it is supposed to look like, and here's what it looks like when I publish it to the web:

    Screenshot (147).png

In addition, as you can see, it does not export as interactive PDF, it exports an indd file. It's clickable and interactive however, just with a few bugs.

Can someone either help me to correct the parameters in the function of online publication, or to teach me another way to incorporate the project on a blog or a website?
