• Dreamweaver CS5 does not

  I'm new to the forum so be gentle with me. I recently bought a template Monster template. It is a reagent JS animation you can see here. http://www.templatemonster.com/demo/45250.html. A few clicks anywhere on any of the pages and it the DW is locked up in a State does not. Without giving up, I tried more than a few pages of the new model, and they're all the same. I still had a copy of the original model, so I tried one of those, and Yes you guessed it, exactly the same problem. Still not wanting to give it up, I took the models on other computers with Windows 7 Home Premium, just like mine, installed and... need CS5 I say, the same problem. The best I can say is that there is a glitch in the model that is not displayed on the side, or there is a major problem with CS5. At this point, I have no solution to the problem after researching it for the last 6 days and many hours, and try everything I could on my end. Does anyone know of settings or anything that should be changed in order to make a template like this work?  I tried with Live View and Live Code in and outside.  Disable JS, disable Plugins and external files, nothing works.  Help, please!

  DWCS5 came out before the flow layout tool grille so that the option does not exist.

  If you want to create sensitive sites with DWCS5, you will need to familiarize yourself with the css media and their code in your pages yourself.

  I just installed a new extension, when I tried to disable another extension extension manager is not working and showing one of my extensions?

  I go to commands > manage Extensions, it works shows but just the Extension Manager title and only access to the "on Extension Manager" who does not display anything. When I left either by the Menu or Cmd + Q is not only when I leave the dock it ends?

  I am up to date with all updates?

  In fact, I want to enable / disable the extensions. I have about 10 + installed and used the extensions Manager in CS5 to change the settings for them and allow etc.

  My extensions Manager does not work when running. Just, it loads the "Extension Manager" program and gives me the menu at the top according to the screen shot, with only a few options that is displayed. To quit smoking is done only using 'Quit' from the 'Dock' twice!

  I have uninstalled all versions of my extensions and re-installed a handler new CS5, I my copied far extensions for guard duty and will post here if it does not work.

  Howdy.  I just got this error and I hope there is a quick fix for it.  I can't open Dreamweaver - it fails to initialize.  I get a fatal XML parsing error:

  An invalid document structure, line 1: < file path > double Screen.xml

  Has anyone met with this error before?

  Please advise - it's very urgent.

  Have not known this, but can you locate this file on your system and move it to another location? After that, restart Dreamweaver, Dreamweaver must re-create this file and I hope that everything will work. Basically something is corrupt in this file and Dreamweaver must recreate a 'proper' version of it - I think. Anyway, this output from test and see if it solves your problem. If this isn't the case, after return and we certainly through other troubleshooting tips...

• Dreamweaver CS5 won't start, can't find the configuration file

  Dreamweaver can not locate the resource file in the Configuration folder. This file is required to run Dreamweaver. Please reinstall the application.

  Found the file configuration, but on my roaming profile on the server, not on the C drive.

  Note that I have installed Dreamweaver on the second partition of the hard drive, not on C drive due to lack of space. Other software Adobe CS5 work well, like Photoshop and InDesign.

  I tried to delete the Configuration file (after saving), I read on this forum that it should be automatically recreated, but without success. Tried to copy the Configuration (in fact the entire Adobe folder) folder for the user profile on the C drive, but without success.

  No previous version of Dreamweaver has been installed on this PC. However, I have used earlier versions on different computers and there are in the Adobe folder on my roaming profile of CS4 and CS6 tracks.

  Could you please tell?

• Why Dreamweaver CS5 is remove my server login information?

  I had a terrible time with some of the common features of Dreamweaver CS5 does not properly.  Now I have another: she goes ahead and deletes my login and password.  It happened five times in the last three days on two different sites I work on and drives me crazy.

  What happens is that I get an error message saying that the FTP can not connect with the server.  I'm in Manage Sites, and the login and password fields are empty.  I fill them in, and now I can connect to the server.  Then at one time random, it could be later that day, he might be the next day, I get the error message, see Manage Sites and they are white again.

  I updated for Dreamweaver 8 two weeks ago and I'm starting to really, really hate this program.  I lost so much to deal with things which don't work well, and it represents significant income loss for me.  I got in one of the Design Collections, but plans really go back to version 8, which is not a lot of new features, but at least the things everyday functioning properly.

  I am running Mac OS 10.6.4 on a Mac less than 6 months.

  So Windows 7 SP1. I tried to rename the follder config and start again and it does not work.

  Problem is when I select a file from windows Explorer, then go to Dreamweaver, choose the destination folder and editing/paste is disable, reverse operation is the same, selecting file in dreamweaver, editing/copy, go to the folder of windows Explorer and paste doesn´t work too.   My copy of DW also works as you describe, I think it's just "the way that it is" in DW.

  To copy a file from another location on your computer to your site, copy it from the original location and paste it into the site folder within windows Explorer (do not use DW at all).

  You can also drag a file from your desktop to your files window in DW to make a copy.

  When I installed first my Dreamweaver CS5.5, I took a class and using my instructor (4 years ago). When I tried to open and update my site yesterday (as I do every year for my small business) I got a message from Java Update I did.  Then, I got a message to uninstall and reinstall Dreamweaver I've done.  Now I can open the app, but I can not open my Web site files.  I see them on the menu, but they do not open.  I am on a Mac with os x Yosemite.  I think it has something to do with the managed sites, but after trying several things, I did more than a mess of things and I can not always open my files.  My site is still running on the remote server, but I can't do the updates that I need for my Web site for 2016. I wish there was someone in the Milwaukee area, that I could go to help me with this or someone who can guide me through it over the phone.

  Go to Site > new Site or manage Sites.

  Click your site definition.

  Click on the pencil icon to edit it.

  Click the servers tab.  See screenshot.
