• Dreamweaver CS5 hangs on Start Up

  Just installed Dreamweaver CS5 on my PC which runs on Windows XP Professional. He spent an hour and a half on the phone with Adobe for them to tell me that it is a microsoft program. I can't run the CS5 without the program of your stay there close. Adobe had me create another account on my computer and it will work on this, but I don't want to sign on and off different users in order to use my Dreamweaver. It is a file that is corrupted I need to delete?

• Dreamweaver CS5 CSS designer equivalent?

  Hi all!

  I learn from a textbook for the class on Dreamweaver CC and I have Dreamweaver CS5 and I do not envy the upgrade immediately since getting pretty comfortable with CS5. I use CC to school but I do not have access on the weekend, that's why I have a different version. Is the designer of CSS just a feature on CC? And for setting margins I would usually just type the code as well, but I do not see how the code is executed in Live View mode. I'm supposed to be seized:

  margin of {15px20px10px5px}

  Unless I'm that captures quite wrong. In any case! I just wanted to see if there was an equivalent to this user interface type! Thank you!

  Yes.  CSS designer panels were introduced in 2013 of CC.  There is no equivalent in CS5 or CS6.

  To change, use Design view.  Live View edition has been introduced only recently.   CS5 didn't.

  You can go to Site > Manage Sites > export to create files .ste with your settings to be imported into the new version of the site. This way your info ftp and other site specific parameters will meet instantly, rather than having to create new definitions of site by hand.

  Other that that, there really nothing that needs to be done for CC to understand your old files.

  When installing CC, make sure you click on the advanced settings in the Installer link and disable "Remove older Versions". You can easily have CS5 and installed CC at the same time to make the transition less sharp. There are some pretty big changes between CS5 and CC can take you awhile to get under your belt. Have the old version will allow you to continue to work with something that you know while you do the adjustment with the new software.

  CC has more Spry example, if whatever it is done using the framework Spry will no longer offer that you dialogue windows when you want to change. You will need to either open the old program or switch to the jQuery version (if it is available in the DW interface). It won't 'break' your Spry effects, it just will not allow you to change from the windowed interface (adjustments should be coded manually or in the old software).

  Your site is correctly set with the correct FTP credentials & root directory?  You can download files to the folder root bad in which case they won't be visible to the public.   Root directory varies depending on the hosting plan.  If in doubt what to use, contact the host of the site.   See screenshots.

• Dreamweaver cs5 change copy and paste does not work

  Dreamweaver cs5 Edition copy and paste does not work,

  So Windows 7 SP1. I tried to rename the follder config and start again and it does not work.

  Problem is when I select a file from windows Explorer, then go to Dreamweaver, choose the destination folder and editing/paste is disable, reverse operation is the same, selecting file in dreamweaver, editing/copy, go to the folder of windows Explorer and paste doesn´t work too. Anyone have the solution? (Sorry my English)

  My copy of DW also works as you describe, I think it's just "the way that it is" in DW.

  To copy a file from another location on your computer to your site, copy it from the original location and paste it into the site folder within windows Explorer (do not use DW at all).

  You can also drag a file from your desktop to your files window in DW to make a copy.

  I can't get Dreamweaver CS5 to open. I did everything I knew to try. I have reinstalled twice and assured that this is the last update.

  When I go to open it, nothing happens. It is not yet trying to open. It gives me no errors or anything to work with. I know that's not the link to the program because I was able to follow it to the program folder files. Try to open the application it leads to the same result.

  You can try to reset the Dreamweaver preferences.

  Following the file and the folder are removed from your system:

  / Users / your User Name/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver

  Rename the folder of Dreamweaver preferences, for example, Dreamweaver CS5.5 Old_Dreamweaver CS5.5 folder.

  / Users / your user name/Library/Preferences

  Rename the folder of Dreamweaver preferences, for example, Dreamweaver CS5.5 Old_Dreamweaver CS5.5 folder.

  Access the hidden library files Mac OS

  When Dreamweaver starts, it creates a new preferences file and the folder.

  If it helps doesnot, maybe you can try to create a new admin user account and check. If this is useful, you can try to uninstall and reinstall in the new user account.

  The Yaromat validator was created by Jaro von Flocken. It is out of date and is no longer available.

• I uninstalled Dreamweaver CS5.5 and reinstalled and now I can not find or open my files websoite.

  When I installed first my Dreamweaver CS5.5, I took a class and using my instructor (4 years ago). When I tried to open and update my site yesterday (as I do every year for my small business) I got a message from Java Update I did.  Then, I got a message to uninstall and reinstall Dreamweaver I've done.  Now I can open the app, but I can not open my Web site files.  I see them on the menu, but they do not open.  I am on a Mac with os x Yosemite.  I think it has something to do with the managed sites, but after trying several things, I did more than a mess of things and I can not always open my files.  My site is still running on the remote server, but I can't do the updates that I need for my Web site for 2016. I wish there was someone in the Milwaukee area, that I could go to help me with this or someone who can guide me through it over the phone.

  Go to Site > new Site or manage Sites.

  Click your site definition.

  Click on the pencil icon to edit it.

  Click the servers tab.  See screenshot.

  Root directory is what your Web host told you to use.  If in doubt, contact your webhost.
