• Lack of Dreamweaver CS6 - CSS Design view

  I can't find the last Panel "CSS Design" that would have replaced the CSS Styles Panel in DW was last updated.  I have still that CSS styles?  Any suggestions?  I am Member creative cloud and according to the Director of enforcement, I have the latest version of Dw installed.

  There is no such thing in CS6. It will be only in CC, which won't be available before June 17.

• CSS styles disappear when the template is applied to a new page in dreamweaver cs5

  Please bear with me as I'm not familiar with coding and usually work in design mode.

  I was faced with the menu bar drop-down menu with Spry horizontal and finally managed to do look like I want it to look. I have inserted in my template page. When I saw in the browser, it seems to work correctly. So far so good.

  When I apply the template to a page, all the CSS style disappeared (without defined styles or applied properties)

  in Design view. In Live View mode, it seems OK. Unfortunately, I've updated several pages, and all have the same problem.

  Can someone please? I'm at my wits end!

  Previously, I always applied a model to a page by clicking Edit/models/apply a page template. He has always worked in the past before you insert a menu bar horizontal Spry. That seems to have created the problem.

  Your suggestion was very helpful. Now, I can at least see the styling (although not the Spry bar menu style). I'll have to re-do about 8 pages, but it's a much smaller mountain to climb now.

  Hey everybody! I have a problem with the mode of creation of Dreamweaver CS5 only show a black background. I can create a new html document as a stand-alone file or part of a site and it will show a black completely wheather it is saved or not. It is also a problem with the pages that I have already created and pages created with a pre installed Dreamweaver template. I don't see anything, if it's not black. It is not affected by the background colors, either actually background colors don't show up on everything I do. It's all black! The strange fact about this is that any given page will display fine in Live view or in any web browser. Thank you in advance, I really need help on this because I need to use design mode to position elements (which is much easier to do than to guess what would best look in code view).

  In my view, that it is a rendering of background CSS problem. Do a Ctrl + F (find) in your CSS for background: transparent.  Try to comment on all of these occurrences and see if that helps.

  There is no way to update the version of perpetual license / DWCS6 drive to the creative cloud, they are two completely separate programs. There used to be a discount for the Creative Suite owners switch to CC, but that ship has sailed.

• Dreamweaver: can't find CSS Designer

  I need help. I'm trying to find the tab or Panel which allows me to use the CSS designer. I try to follow the videos Adobe messages on learning of the use of Dreamweaver, but that doesn't help much cause I can never find the buttons use the videos. Espcially now, I don't know the tool to allow for change by using CSS. I need help here.

  Go to window > CSS designer or press SHIFT + F11 to open the CSS designer.

  If those who don't take them, you are probably using a version older than the addition of the designer of CSS (DWCS6 or an earlier version).

  Go to help > about Dreamweaver to check your version.

  If you do have CC or later and only get the old CSS panel when you enter this menu or press the shortcut, it would mean that you have to press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + P to move the CSS panel to the designer.

  For now, you have a large number of errors that need to be addressed, about 90 altogether.

  While some browsers allow to better interpereting what you wanted to do than others (IE being the absolute worst), DW is a maniac, especially in Design view. It is still displayed incorrectly in DW after you fix all the problems, after return and we can take a closer look.

• Help! Modes of Split and design in Dreamweaver CS5 is disabled.

  The first time I started Dreamweaver CS5 I didn't like the default code / design view my files appeared in. If I choose a setting, preferably where appear files in one pane mode code. Unfortunately, I don't remember where this parameter. I don't know if this is the culprit, but I somehow lost the ability to switch from Split, design, Code Live, Live View and inspect on any web file (.html, .htm, .asp, etc.). Could someone help me understand how to activate these modes?

  The "Open in code view" field is mislabelled and travels many people upward.

  It should say "open only in code view.

• Cannot see how to change the CSS properties in CSS designer in 2014 CC DW

  I've recently updated for DW CS5 until 2014. I noticed that the 2014 version doesn't have the possibility to make changes in the CSS properties using CSS designer. In DW CS5, I could easily change CSS properties in the CSS box. Now with 2014, I must open the CSS page and manually enter the values in the code for the line. This seems to be a huge step backward. On that note, since 2014 shows the CSS style tags element in Design view, it would be great if you can click on them to go directly to the Properties menu. This function, as it is now, is a bit useless. I hope that Adobe makes it easy access to the CSS on the next version of the software.

  Personally, I find manually adding the code in the .css file to be much faster than the CSS panel or the new CSS designer, but you can certainly add/edit css to use. I wouldn't call it worthless until you are faster to manually code than to make selections in the menus of many however in the designer.

  You need not open the file .css separately. You can click on the name of the .css file in the bar of dependent files at the top of your document that the css is attached, to view its source code and make changes there.

• Best way to insert without flash photo album in Dreamweaver CS5.5

  Using Dreamweaver CS4, I created the site art of my wife.  It is: www.tanglewoodbrushstrokes.com

  To insert photo albums, I used the bridge and Fireworks.  Once past the initial learning curve, I was able to create these albums easily.  However, these albums have two limitations that I would like to address.

  1. Add or remove an image requires the creation of a new album and then display on the page.  Now when I practice, is not take me very long to do this, but there must be a simpler way.  As you can see on the site of my wife, she has many pages of photo albums.  Take pictures of her "Recent works" page means that these pictures my be paid during three or four different albums.  If this can be very time consuming.

  2. the created albums in this way are the flash galleries and are not visible on iPhone or iPad.

  Recently I bought Dreamweaver CS5.5, I can use HTML5 to make my site on Iphones and Ipads, but also PC.  I have almost completed the tutorial and I'm about to create a new site.  Today I did some looking of ways to use the galleries without flash and not come up with a definitive answer.

  As you can see on the Web site of my wife, the galleries are fairly simple.  What I really need is a page of thumbnails leading to a larger image and a description.  I want to keep it like that.

  There is no single all size the solution to this.  You use DW make a gallery and it isn't really a tool for creating Gallery in itself.  It's web authoring software.  So, whatever the solution to the gallery you choose it will come from somewhere else.  And then you have to integrate into your HTML pages.

  Personally, I love the dynamic slide shows with jQuery.  Add PHP code on your page.  Download jQuery scripts and optimized images on your server.  Fact.

  To swap images later, add/remove files from the folder of the image on the server. Fact.

  If you want to generate a large number of different galleries quickly, look at JAlbum.  It is a commercial product that creates the thumbnails and HTML pages for you.  There are a lot of skins (styles) to choose from and you can further customize layouts with CSS.

• CSS Design Panel outcome

  I'm on a MAC OS X Yosemite on Dreamweaver CC. I created a site that has 2 style sheets. The original Bootstrap CSS and the one I created. For some reason any when I try to select tags in your CSS or same Bootstrap, it does ' t work. I can't select it. I'm on the Source Code and I see all the CSS that is applied to this page, but in the CSS designer panel. No idea why I choose my CSS?

• CSS design dead Swatches Panel

  When you use the Panel Design CSS today, could not be opened in any selector color picker.

  It works OK when the hand coding color in a style sheet, but not in CSS designer panel.

  I rebooted, restarted several times Dream Weaver and even deleted the dat file library, but can not make it work.
