Driver ASUS CD-S480/AH

My drive factory installed CD does not work. The repair tool cannot find a driver into the system and it asks me if I want to go on the internet to find or the other.
I get this error code:
Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.
Is there a way to get that driver, install it and run it?

Hello

The best place to get the driver is from Asus.

Some factory installed hardware will require a specific, custom driver.

  • Install the operating system after replacing the corrupted hard drive Asus q500a

The hard drive on my Asus Q500a is bad (he had checked the repairman). They told me that I could replace it (it will just keep failing until at last it dies just) but I have to re - install the operating system. The laptop comes with Windows 7 and I upgraded to 8 when it came out (I think). I don't have a recovery disk.

How can I replace the corrupted hard drive and re-install the operating system?

If I need to buy Windows 8, where can I find?

Would it not easier that I left the repair shop handle it?

    Thank you in advance.

  • Using preinstalled recovery drive - ASUS X401a

I bought a x401a with windows 7 preinstalled. He also had a recovery partition, if used, restore the laptop to its factory condition. I have upgraded to windows 8, and now I want to go back to 7. is it possible to use the recovery partition? or there will be problems with the uefi/secureboot/MBR / do anything else?

If you use the recovery partition, then reinstall Windows 7 not Windows 8. You have the Windows 8 upgrade.

You can download it from there and use your product key to upgrade:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

  • Asus DVD drive does not

I know there have been quite a few posts on this topic in other forums as well as this one, but none of the proposed solutions have solved my problem.

I did a clean install of Windows 8 on my Intel SSD (c), I have a secondary 1 to (e) and an external USB 3.0 drive (f).  I normally have a D: drive to the DVD player.  I installed WIndows 8 via an installation DVD I created from the downloaded installer.  I was able to complete a clean install.

I used Windows 8 without any problem until I got a DVD with pictures (photos from my wedding!) in my computer. Then I realized that my D: drive was no longer there...  I rebooted thinking it was a fluke. I tried to use several other CD/DVD, but no matter what I did the DVD player was not appear.

First thing, I thought that if he did not have a drive letter assigned, then I went into computer management / disk management and the DVD Player did not show up.  I see in Device Manager: CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives > ASUS DRW-24B1ST. It has a yellow! symbol on the disc.  I uninstalled the driver, rebooted, and he had the yellow!.

I went to ASUS website and tried to install the driver but received an error message that the device was not found.  So I tried manually updating the driver but get this message ' Windows found driver software for your device, but has encountered an error trying to install it. "  Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) »

I found a forum post referencing the registry providing this command "reg.exe add"HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0"/ f/v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001" I ran this command as an administrator, restarted my computer, but still do not have a functional driver.

Anyone know how I can "adjust" the registry so that this DVD player will appear and be usable again?  I don't think there is an error with the drive itself since it was used to install windows 8 and has been very well supported.  I have to check that it is correctly connected to the motherboard as well.

    Thanks for all your help!

    FIXED!

I found the solution! So my post above will make me look like an idiot now, but the ASUS technical support has been incredible and provided a fix!  It 100% corrected my problem and my DVD drive appears in the workstation again.

Here are the instructions that they sent me.  I don't know if this is specific to the ASUS DRW-24B1ST drive, or if this will fix the problem with any DVD player.

Click on start--> run, type "regedit" and click OK
Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key (it looks like a folder) by double clicking it (or clicking on the '+' next to it.)
    Expand the SYSTEM key
    Expand the CurrentControlSet key
    Expand the control key
    Expand the class key
Please look for a key containing the following string of letter and numbers: {4D36E965-E325-11CE - BFC1 -

  • Asus AC53 wireless adapter installation problem

I bought a 2 sets of Asus wireless adapters ac53 last weekend. The adapter installation went off without a hitch on my wife's computer, but I came across a multitude of problems for mine.

First of all, the Asus wireless signals constantly adapter as "not installed" after as I plug into the USB port. In the second place. There is no wireless network found at all. Even after completing "diagnose the problem", he said that there is a problem with access points even if the other computers in the House are connected to the network and can also detect other networks wireless in range. In third place, after many relocations of the driver from the CD provided with the product, the Installshield for the program does not start and needs to restart so that it can start working again. Then there is a problem with the Virtual WiFi Miniport with this error msg appear: there is a problem with the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter #2 driver. The driver must be reinstalled.
I tried the cards around switching, but the problem is always the same, so it's not the fault of the adapter.  I also took the following measures:

1 uninstall Utility & Driver ASUS, restart the pc
    2nd open my computer > file \ASUS C:\Program Files (x 86)
3rd remove AC53 - USB WLAN Card Utilities folder
4th edition of registry open > run regedit
    5TH HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ASUS
    6th folder delete 3 ASUS:
    ASUS WLAN Card USB-AC53 utility
ASUS USB-AC53 WLAN Card Driver Utilities
    ASUS USB-AC53 WLAN Card Utilities

    Restart the PC

Download the latest driver from the official website and install again.

Make sure that you disable anti virus/firewall when installing driver

The device still does not work. However, when I open the Device Manager, it is said that the #3 wireless card works properly.

The ASUS driver so that it does not work.  I've seen several reports of this line.  Uninstall the driver ASUS and utilities and use the generic Windows driver.  You will get full speed out of it, but it will more systematically, and it will be faster than an N adapter.

This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory with a high IRQL.

A driver tried to access a pageable (or that is completely invalid) address while the IRQL was too high. This bug check is usually caused by drivers who used a wrong address.

  • two fingers of y510p elan touchpad right click problem.

Hi, I recently bought a Lenovo Y510p, and the touchpad is using software MOMENTUM. However, by default, it seems not to allow you to use two fingers to type to right click, or three for middle click.

After digging the question, I discovered you can make some changes by installing the driver Asus Elantech 11.5.0.9 to allow you to see a lot more options in the Control Panel, and I've changed with success the Swapping and 3 functions touch 4 fingers.

Despite this, I am fighting to change the tap water double finger.

Is anyone able to help me with this issue?

    Thank you very much.

mine solved it by installing the driver Asus Elantech 11.5.0.9. It will give same much u of other features also.

  • My PC starts immediately after stopping off for a considerable time

My new PC will not start immediately after the power supply is cut off for several hours. However, it starts up after several minutes of trying. Is this a problem related to the power supply or other materials? I assembled just this new pc, and before that, it never happened. Here are the specs of my pc:

GX650 Bronze PSU CoolerMaster; Processor Intel i5 2320; Intel DH67CL mobo. 6750 2 GB DDR3 graphics card Sapphire; 2 x 4 GB Corsair RAM; Kingston 64 GB SSD; WD 1 TB HARD drive; ASUS DVDRW
My PC is connected to the mains through an inverter 600w APC.
Is it possible that it could also because of the connection of power supply of the pc case itself? For the record, the case is an old one that has experienced a recent surge that destroyed my previous mobo and basically almost everything in it.
