  Yesterday, I replaced my old hard drive with a new WD, and I reinstalled Windows Vista.  Everything goes fine until I jumped in the utilities and drivers (Resource CD) supplied with the laptop.  I guess I thought that the CD all the work, would do to reinstall all the necessary drivers and utilities...  Now I'm stuck with a laptop computer that cannot connect to the internet, and the screen is too big.  I don't know there is more wrong with my laptop than meets the eye.  On the CD of drivers & utilities there the list of drivers and some of them have check marks, others do not.  I tried following some online course on which those who/what order to upload, but I don't even have some recommended drivers on the Dell.com site (specific to my Inpiron 1545 model)!  I know that I could download them immediately the site, but I don't even have wifi to do.

  In addition, I read the performance of a Dell Factory Image Restore and I tried it.  When I get the black screen with no option, I have to click on "Repair computer" but the option is not available either... I thought that maybe it would be an easy way to restore my laptop (readers and all) to the original settings.  Maybe the option is not there because my computer is practically empty, with nothing to restore? All I have on my laptop at the moment is Windows Vista 64 bits and drivers a couple that I don't know much.

• Lexmark printer driver needed help...

  Hi - I have a Lexmark Z23 color inkjet printer I've owned for years, and not having no problem feature on its own.  I've just updated the Windows operating system on my machine from XP to Vista and cannot get the driver software to install.  Lexmark said that they no longer support this model because it is too old and they have confirmed that they have no driver software to install printer Windows Vista model.

  Anyone found a fix for this problem?  I scoured online to see if I can find a 3rd - party that created the necessary files, but have had no luck.

  If Lexmark says that there are no Vista drivers available, there is nothing that can be done.

  Lexmark wrote the drivers for their products, not Microsoft.

  If the error message says 'Mobile Apple Device not found Driver' then it's an Apple problem, pure and simple.  The device driver mobile for the iPhone comes from Apple, not Microsoft.

  I installed it even if the dolby in the taskbar icon is not but the open control panels > hardware and sound > sound

  HP Pavilion DV 6108 NR, RG365UA, purchased late 2006 at best buy, with Windows XP, upgrade to Service Pack 3. It has a Fujitsu 60 GB HDD partitioned into C: and a D: Recovery.

  Windows tries to start, but goes to a blue screen with the message: "Unmountable Boot Volume" for a second, then just guard recycling until I force a shutdown.

  Phoenix BIOS, hard drive test result: "Fail #1-08".

  I ran a program to drive on the Cdrive analysis/recovery and it seems to show the directory structure intact, and he was able to recover some files. I used the free Seagate (which only retrieves the small files). The second pass only works so well and in the third set as the program says that I should not go further, and I need to contact a professional drive recovery company.

  However, drive D seems to be intact, so I wonder if the disc is damaged or just one aspect of the logical drive C is bad.

  How can I get the D: to run recovery on it software? The recovery discs, made by Best Buy, just proceed to the R / F / Q option screen, and when I press R, I get a blue screen every time.
  Pressing the F10 key at startup bothers me nowhere. Ditto the key F11.

  I don't like hard disk; This is the data (files, documents, images, etc.) that I want to.
  I contacted HP to order recovery disks, but they are no longer available for my computer.
