  Download the drivers from the website of intel. you do a manual update which worked very well on my dv6-2150us, and I now have the 12/01/2012 drivers from intel.

  1 save the disk does not open for installation during the d/l process.

  2. open and decompress the files to the folder.

  3. via the devices pane control manager you'll select the graphics card.

  4. open the properties of the graphics card.

  5. Select the driver tab.

  6. Select Update driver.

  7. Select Browse my computer for driver

  8. Select let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

  9. select disk, and then find the folder where you unpacked new pilots and selection of a folder named graphics.

  10. Select the igdlh64.inf file and off you go for new pilots being installed. Good luck, it works.

  I have a HP Pavilion dv6-3150ee. my original hard drive was broken. I bought a western digital 500 GB 5400 Sata 2.

  I installed the hard drive and made the recovery. Everything went well past and ok. When completed recovery operation, the system has restarted to continue the installation of hard drives but I got this message: no boot device insert boot disk and press any key.

  so I went to the bios and tested the memory and the hard drive and all was ok. I tried to get into my bios, advanced options, but it isn't everything. My bios version is F.12.

  I don't know what the problem is, and I will be thanksful for any help.

  N.B: I have my recovery discs and my windows repair disc.

  The new hard drive sometimes requires to prepare first with utility cd from Cyberlink. Download and save the file. Once the download is complete, place a blank cd in your drive and click on the file to create a boot cd. Start with this cd and wait until you get a green check mark indicates the hard disk is ready. Remove the cd, insert the first disc of recovery and restart the laptop.

  I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6002sa Entertainment Notebook PC - product number: LK960EA #ABU.

  I had problems with my amd display drivers. According to me, looking at online the characteristics of my graphics card is an AMD radeon HD 6740 M that I don't have a display driver for. However I also have an AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 display driver.

  I don't have any parameters on AMD Catalyst Control Center. I tried to download the latest versions of HD 6740 M from the AMD website, using their Autodetect program. However, it detects the graphics card as the 4250. I'm sure that when I got to my laptop I had the 6740M. The only way I can get a driver now because it's in the Manager of devices but I'm not 100%, it works when I install it even. If I uninstall the driver of 4250 display that it seems that my PC is integrated graphics, but I'm not sure on this and quickly windows updates the 4250 driver and I'm back to where I was.

  I think that this issue is causing my laptop at the start to have a black screen before a few minutes before the opening session and after logon, even if still once, I'm not too sure. I did a scan for malware to if that was the problem, and I looked at event viewer to see if there is anything that could cause problems. I have a warning about a USB driver and Bluetooth drivers does not. I can't identify which USB it's driver and I have turned off the Bluetooth. Also some errors occur also, but to my knowledge (which is not huge), they cause no problems (maybe put apart from the "homegroup service' which does not load, but I managed to get rid of this error a few weeks ago.)

  I tried to uninstall all the stuff AMD then install again using HP driver manager. This seemed to have no effect.

  Any help on this would be great, I've tried everything I can think of, and I am at a loss.

  It's your laptop switchable graphics with a computer?

  If it is so, it will make a world of difference in the way that access you the video graphics cards and the installation of the drivers. Install the AMD driver HP softpaq update only. It has drivers for two video graphics solutions. they do not need to be installed separately. If you actuall try to install separately, switchable graphics service will stop working.

  I think you can install the drive and use your recovery disk to reinstall Windows.

  You can change the hard drive of your computer with a WD one Pavilion, just keep in mind that you need a 2.5 inch drive.   Everything worked very well on my hp laptop pavilion dv6 - 3370ca special Nightingale until a couple of days.

  When I look at the video (not youtube), using vlc, windows media player hp after about 15 min my CPU usage goes to 100% and I can't watch more.

  I thought it was the drivers so I have unintalled the drivers and installed the new on the site of AMD. The catalyst control center was not working. I then uninstalled again and reinstalled the drivers from the website of HP Canada.

  Control of catalyst works again and I thought it was fixed, but once after 15 minutes to look at the problem from happening again. I checked the catalyst control to see if the graphics were moved to the intel without warning and she didn't. He was still Announces radeon HD 6550 of high performance card in use.

  Hello, page drivers contains the Intel WIFI drivers, but Everest reported that the laptop has a wireless "Broadcom BCM4310 USB Controller" device!

  -Fixed a problem where the wireless LED takes more than 20 seconds to change during the recovery mode sleep or hibernate if driving to an access point.

  If you want to install this driver first uninstall this old one.
