• Satellite P750-11W - two disruptive noises

  Hi all
  I recently bought a Satellite P750-11W. The problem is * two noises * make this laptop.

  Without a/c, on the one hand, there is a static * whistle sound *, the other a * buzzing noise * that noise when scrolling upward or down on a Web site for example. I'm sure that's not the HARD drive. On current alternative, the only noise which persists is the buzz, but it seems smaller.

  To clarify what I recorder the two sounds:

  Anyone with the same problem? Is this normal?

  I put t think that it of normal and in my opinion it shouldn't t happen on a brand new model of laptop. Usually the only noise you'll hear on the computer is the fan and probably the HARD drive a little more but all that s.

  In this case, you can do nothing and nobody here can help you because it s just a user forum of users and this virtual path it of not possible to solve this problem. You need local assistance service authorized in your country. Just talk about what you can do with guys. Generally speaking, there s no problem because if she s in respect of repair material guaranteed valid would not cost anything for you.

  I upgraded my OS from win 7 to 62. ultimate bit to allow the laptop to access my area of work. Now he has so many compatibility problems with 3rd party 64-bit drivers, I have now loaded a win 7 32-bit ultimate operating system.

  If the 32-bit drivers are not available on the official support page from Toshiba it's clear that this version of the OS is not supported and you will not be able to locate anything.

  All new laptops are available with 64-bit operating systems and, unfortunately, are not supported for 32 bit version.

  You can try to install drivers available for older models but I n t think it does not work 100% correctly.
  It s complicated.

  I have a Satellite Pro L300 Vista.
  If I have problems of major incompatibility with Vista I can swap the readers so I want to set up a second hard drive running on XP Pro.

  As to the question;

  (1) some notebook models containing this function in the BIOS and some don t BIOS that SATA option. If the BIOS has this option, you should be able to put AHCI Compatible mode. Then a SATA driver won't be necessary but also your SATA function would be disabled and HARD drive might work more slowly. So I recommend to set to AHCI, and then reinstall the SATA driver.

  (2) the SATA driver is part of the Intel Matrix Storage Manger. You can include the SATA drivers using nLite software. The necessary files of the SATA driver can be downloaded from Intel here page:

  The SATA controller is compatible downwards, which means you can use a HARD SATA II in SATA drive I have controller.

  You can calibrate the battery very easily.
  Disconnect the power adapter and leave the laptop disconnected until the battery is completely discharged.
  Then plug in the power adapter and charge the battery until the battery indicator (LED) would turn to green.
  This must be done and repeated 2 - 3 times in the line.
