Driver universal in dynamic Mode on Remote Desktop Services

Hi all!

Is the universal driver om desktop Services support in dynamic Mode (2012 R2 server) remotely?

I find the documentation unclear.

Windows 2012 R2 with "Terminal Services" is listed as an operating system supported in the release notes for the latest version of the driver, but I also found a white paper stating that dynamic Mode is not supported on Citrix due to multiple users not be able to share the unique dynamic Mode port.

I did a small test of 2 concurrent access on an RDS Server and it seems to work OK, but I will not proceed to deploy if it is an unsupported configuration.

Concerning

Allan

Hi Allan,

Yes, using HP UPD on a Dinamic Mode client is supported for RDP or Citrix envoirnments for client computers.

Please see the section "Dynamic Mode" on page 18 of the following guide which list all available capabilities and limitations of the use of such:

  • Unable to see the Collections in remote desktop Services in Server Manager

It doesn't seem to be a category for Windows Server for some reason, so I apologize if this is in the wrong category:

We recently had an administrator leave our of the it group, and he was the one who had set up our fund services / remote server.  Recently, we wanted to deploy another remote application and found that we were not able to see the "Collections" option in the server in remote desktop services manager.  The only option listed is "servers".  However to reactivate the account administrator and the server like him gave us all permissions to see the option of Collections and to deploy another remote application.

My question would be, this is a policy of setting Group / somewhere that is limiting the other users of the full access to Office services in Server Manager remotely.  I looked everywhere on the server (and google) to see if I could find where this setting is vain.  Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

  • Addition of family XP Edition Remote Desktop Services

I have a laptop with Windows XP - Home Edition.  I want remote access to this laptop to a Tablet using the Desktop Client remotely by Xtralogic, Inc.

The presentation of the product Xtralogic said, "the following operating systems have remote desktop Services and can be connected using Xtralogic Remote Desktop Client without software additional server-side: Windows XP Professional, [other deleted for brevity]."

Literature Xtralogic saye also expressly as Windows XP - Home is not Remote Desktop Services out of the box.

My question is this: the necessary Remote Desktop Services software can be added separately to my laptop with XP Home?  How can it be acquired or bought?

    Hello

  • External machines to Vista cannot RDP to a Server2012R2 running Remote Desktop Services

We have recently updated our server RDP to the server 2012R2 and installed the remote desktop Services. There is no problem to connect to it internally and externally the Windows 7 machines are able to connect once we install the updates of the following two:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2574819

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2592687

The problem is with the external Vista machines. They can connect to the original web interface (remote.xxxxxx.ca) and they see the Remote Desktop tab RemoteApps server and workstations, but clicking on the link just puts them in a loop "enter your credentials. Nothing in Event Viewer that I choose to see what he's blocking me. None of group policy or NPS that I can see which could block access.

As mentioned earlier, internally a Vista machine works very well, outwardly this same machine won't be able to connect. No problem at all with Windows 7 or 8/8.1

    Thanks for your help.

  • Manager remote desktop services / Terminal Server Services Manager

I've upgraded to Windows 7 Enterprise to Windows XP SP3. I'm used to use the "reset" Terminal Services Manager a 'Down' RDP - TCP or ICA - TCP port. In remote desktop Services Manager, the ability to 'Reset' a 'Down' port is "grayed out". I can't "Reset" of the port. I checked in Windows features and parts under Remote Server administrative tools have been checked. I don't want to create another port. I want to 'Reset' current 'Down' port. I'm a little frustrated that I have to connect to a XP workstation to get this accomplished. Am I missing something? Something is not properly configured? Do I need to install an additional application?

  • Remote Desktop services

If we put in place of desktop Services remotely on a remote computer in Windows 7 to enable access and being controlled by a Windows 2012 R2 server, it is necessary/good management to have a clean installation of Windows 7 on this computer, if all applications will be installed on / run and controlled by the Windows Server?  When I say applications i.e. 2013 Office, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop etc.

  • Using the ThinApp sandbox and Remote Desktop Services drive

Hi, we test how thinapp works on our server terminal server with a few thousand users. There seems to be an option for save the disc space in the .ini file, but still the sandbox would use lot of disk space, when there are many thinapped programs? Is it possible to use the sandbox shared on a network drive, or what is the best option to save precious space on the server?

    Thank you!

Having the sandbox located on a network share will save everything you do Sandbox at this place and so not to save what anyone in the user profile... But again, everything depends on methods of insulation...
