Install the Windows 7 operating system print driver (in OS)

When you connect your printer to the computer, Windows 7 detects hardware and automatically installs the correct driver. A notification lets you know when the installation starts and when it is completed. You are not required to download any software or insert the product CD.
First step: install the driver in OS

Follow these steps to install the OS in Windows 7 driver.
NOTE: the computer must be connected to the Internet for Windows Update to detect and install your product.

  1. Turn the unit on.
  2. Connect a USB cable to the printer and then to the computer.

    NOTE: when you connect the USB cable to the printer and then to the computer, Windows 7 active Windows Update. Windows Update search online for the latest driver on the Windows Update site. If the line driver is newer than the driver that is stored in Windows 7, computer downloads and installs the updated driver. The Windows Update process happens automatically. Therefore, you will not notice that the process is underway.

  3. Windows 7 detects hardware and automatically installs the correct driver. A notification on your computer to notify you when the installation is complete.

Second step: print a document

Print from any program to make sure that your printer is working properly.
  1. Open a document in the software application with which it was created.
  2. Click fileand then click print.
