I have windows xp family. I try to get my old precision sidewinder pro controller to work. XP does not recognize the controller even when I went to the control panel command, game controllers, sidewinder(auto detect), all I get is, your gameport or gameport drivers are not properly configured. I don't have my original disc supplied with the controller. Can you please direct me in a simple way so that it works because I'm not very good with the Tech stuff. The product I.D. # for my controller is: 85791-579-9297393-00000. The manufacturer is: x 03-57540. It's a Microsoft Precision Pro. I have the Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick.
I am running Windows 7 (64-bit).
The joystick is fine on Windows XP Home Edition. But, since the purchase of a new computer with Windows 7, the la manette controller game does not load half the time. When this happens, it stops during the Flight Simulator I followed all the steps you gave to another Member here who had problems with installing it and my problem persists.
The manual says that if I meet this problem, I should: let the USB plug into the port, turn off the computer, put the USB plug into a different port, restart the computer. I do this and the joystick is fine in the case of game controllers, but, during a robbery of the SIM joystick suddenly stops working, (i.e. no entrance to the plane of sim) and does NOT appear in the game controllers folder. (Microsoft Sidewinder Central/Control Panel)
What should I do now?

Ironically, I dragged my old 2 precision last night to see if it worked in Win7-64.
Initially, he did not work at all. As it was long out of warranty, I opened it, gave the printed circuit, a brush to remove chips and checked the different connections. Reconnected to a hub external (just in case), and Win7 he picked up a fine. There are screws under each of the feet, which has just taken off.
The intermittent problem that you described, it could be a similar problem. The ' stick is pretty bulletproof, but not completely free from dust and dirt penetration.

Are there drivers Windows 7 for a Microsoft SideWinder Precision Pro and how to work?
I have a MS SideWinder Precision Pro. I looked at the Windows 7 Compatibility Center and he said compatible. There is no link to a download of driver. I just bought a good condition Sidewinder Precision Racing Wheel from eBay. I didn't know he was as old as it is and I wanted to know if drivers exist that will offer all the features for the wheel. Installed Directx11 and now no games not working - need help
Recently, I had windows 7 and for some months now, I've been able to play my games very well (warcraft 3/world of warcraft/civilization 4) without any problem at all.
Yesterday, I tried to get a new game called heroes of newerth, then departure I got an error that I found, after rising, it was supposed to be fixable by obtaining the latest version of Directx.
So I've updated to DirectX 9.0 c (which worked very well for a long time) to Directx11, using dxwebsteup.Warcraft 3 freezes simply on the launch screen.
WoW know either update directx 9.0 c and update your video driver (FYI I did the last yesterday, then don't suggest for me to update my graphics driver I did already). And then will not start.
Other games say error running script of D3D and an assortment of texts simular to that.When I run DXDIAG everything happens perfect without any detected problems and showing Directx11 under version. I tried to run dxwebsteup several times in case something has not installed right but without success.
During hours of research this problem and through Needless to information on Directx, I found that these four fail conclusions:
1. run the DirectX 9.0 c Installer and it will overwrite Directx11. I tried and it didn't.
2 uninstall Directx11 will run - regedit - HKEY LOCAL MACHINE - SOFTWARE - Microsoft - Directx and the deletion of this file. Supposedly I could and then restart the computer and install DirectX 9.0 c. After you remove the folder and restart, I noticed several things; but above all, nothing has changed. My computer do not redo the Directx folder, it disappeared completely. The problem is not gone, and also when I try to launch Directx9.0c nothing happens as usual. In DXDIAG, it still says there is no problem and the version is still Directx11, and when I try to run dxwebsteup I get a new error: internal year error has occurred. Please be DXError.log and Directx.log in your windows folder to determine the problem. I'm distraught about what it means and it seems that I myself got in deeper problems.
3 download a program that can uninstall Directx. I tried this but I have found no program that is compatible with Windows 7 which uninstalls Directx, or y at - it even not with vista.
4. I am hallucinating; Directx11 is backward compatible, and for this reason, it is impossible to downgrade or install Directx11 Windows 7. No, I'm not hallucinating, it actually happens and even if Directx11 is supposed to play games that require fewer versions of Directx mine isn't.Is it really impossible to uninstall/downgrade Directx11?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening and how I can get Directx11 for work with my games?Please help it is incredibly frustrating and tedious.
No.... it wasn't just a game, it was all my games and the problem was Directx11. At least I was, because I made the post I managed to solve the problem of what I was I canceled my video driver and everything was perfect, once again, so it must be something to do with my video driver updated and is not not properly compatible with directx11.
