    I want to know if we want to use ODI to develop the package customized for ERP to the integration of the EMP, do we need to buy a license of ODI? We want different hierarchies in the planning of a target application and we are not able to use FDMEE to generate mappings.

    Licenses-wise, you should be able to do what you want with ODI of FDMEE provided FDMEE is in the mix.  If FDMEE is not part of the integration in a way, I think you need to get a stand-alone license of ODI.  Your Oracle sales representative can give you more information.

  • FDMEE question of burden HFM

    Hi all

    I am facing a problem loading the file from FDMEE to HFM (11.1.2.4 version). I am able to complete all the steps in the workbench.  However, once the export step towers work bench, if I even get overlaps existing in the HFM's ".dat" file, I can see nothing. FDMEE journal indicates that the records were assigned the HFM. I copied the log file for the load less than. I checked the load adjustment allow, it is set to Yes. I have an Access administrator for FDMEE and administrator of access applications in HFM. Is there anything else I should check in order to load data. Appreciate any thoughts on this issue.

    OK, I think you need to open a SR of Oracle.

    It could be FDMEE/ODI does not HFM loading operations, may be a communication problem.

    Can you confirm that if you had load manually the data up to the intersection through the Smart view and ran the FDMEE process data would be replaced?

    Have you ever been able to load properly in this environment?

  • ODI-1425: Agent Application is not reachable

    A number of changes to the system (backup/restore) took place in our EPM environment, including the patch for 11.1.2.3.500.

    Everything works well, but our FMDEE data loading rules for Oracle EBS financials actual failed.  The details of process FDMEE (and Console ODI and oraclediagent.log) report ODI-1425: request of the officer may not be appealed using the http://server:80 / oraclediagent.

    So I think that the agent may not be working?  There is no oraclediagent service, but perhaps this is changed?

    I can find no error message that says that the agent was able to start.

    What throws me is a successful connection of the FDMEE ODI test: workspace > Data Management > Configuration > system settings > profile Type = ODI > button = check the ODI connection.  Result = "connection to the ODI agent succeeded."

    Running d:\oracle\middleware\user_projects\empsystem1\bin > status opmnctl EssbaseAgent of the Instance yields: EPM_epmsystem1 is Alive.  But I'm not sure to understand where and how to use this tool.

    Running d:\oracle\middleware\EPMSystem11R1\opmn\bin > opmnctl status gives "ORACLE_INSTANCE is not defined.

    Running d:\oracle\middleware\ohs\opmn\bin > opmnctl status gives "ORACLE_INSTANCE is not defined.

    ARG!  This whole problem was caused by this port be wrong.  no idea how/why that changed (guessing one of the many patches we applied).

  • Integration of PeopleSoft source FDMEE

    Hi all

    We have FDMEE 11.1.2.3 and PeopleSoft as a source system. Now, we have an obligation to connect our FDMEE to PeopleSoft to extract the metadata and the data and load it into the planning. In FDMEE administration guide, it says in this version, FDMEE automatically did most of the configuration of the ODI and we have only 3 steps manual as below.

    1. configure the database server based on the Source ERP system.
    2. place the physical patterns.
    3. set up the context of ODI to Global Code

    We did it and our FDMEE - ODI connection is successful, but we are not able to see fields of table of table source FDMEE Source adapter/Source entities screens... I know with certainty, that I'm missing a few steps here. So can you please guide me wit the steps required to integrate with PeopleSoft FDMEE.

    You must link the logical schema PSFT_APPS with the physical schema of your TFTP in the GLOBAL context.

    Go to ODI Studio Console, topology, open the GLOBAL context, linking physical and logical servers.

    BTW, you don't need to turn the model. Diagram logical and physical links (which should be bound by default if you did anything change it manually?) and then to initialize your source system.

    The PES of planning that you applied contains a new version of the HspJS.jar so that could be a possible way of this error could have surfaced. For me personally, I think you'd better get everything patched up to the 11.1.2.3.500 PSU continuing at least before that it is a known problem in this version and there are the notes I have mentioned previously, to help patching.

    It is clear from the error that there is a mismatch in versions of the Agent of ODI FDMEE with the Planning Server jar files. One thing you might be able to try on this front would be to save the current file HspJS.jar in the C:\Oracle\Middleware\odi\oracledi.sdk\lib House FDMEE ODI and place a copy of the same file of your planning server in the C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Planning\lib folder (or equivalent).

    I've not personally seen this error before where the 500 patch had not been implemented well. Decide which approach you take will be up to you really, but I suggest to patch to 500 as best as possible and go from there.

  • Integration of DRM/ODI

    We use the client batch DRM to do imports, etc.  Batch files are called by ODI which will automate the process.

    I used the utility of credentials to associate a Windows user with DRM users, and when the batch files are run manually, they are working as expected.

    However, when the kickoff through ODI we run into issues "the required parameter, that username has not been provided or its value is empty.

    Is it possible to use the ODI to run batch files and does not provide the name of user and password DRM in the file?  If so, how?


    Must some configurations on ODI be done?

    You run into this error because the Windows user that is running the agent of ODI under has no credentials set up with the customer drm-batch - credentials.exe. If I start an ODI agent from a batch file under a Windows user account that has been configured with drm-batch-customer - credentials.exe, then the client batch runs without a problem when you run a batch file containing the following text where the credentials are not included:

    DRM - batch - client.exe - url = net .tcp://boxname: 5212/Oracle/Drm/ProcessManager - op = e - xtype = E - xname = HierExport - cver = LowerCaseImportTest - pver = LowerCaseImportTest

    If I create a second user Windows however, log in as this user via RDP, and then start an ODI agent under the new Windows user account without having the credentials of installation with customer drm-batch - credentials.exe then the batch client log shows this:

    10/11/2015 12:00:51 - => error: initialization error: the required parameter, user name was not provided, or its value is empty.

    So the problem here is that the account Windows user running the Agent of ODI under has no stored credentials. You just need to understand which Windows the ODI Agent user account runs under and ensure that it ran the drm-batch-customer - credentials.exe under this account so that stored credentials are available for the client to batch.

  • Install the new FDMEE 11.1.2.4 - ODI Agent does not start

    After the installation and configuration of EMP 11.1.2.4, components (including the FDMEE) on a Windows 2008 (single-server installation), I ran diagnosis of EPM system and found the only test that failed was to the Agent of ODI.

    Recommended action: check the application of the FDM Enterprise Edition is started and the database schemas exist.

    FDMEE and all the other components of the EMP seem to work and open in the workspace.  The only problem is that ODI Agent will not start.  Re-installation and configuration of FDMEE has not fixed this problem.  I also tried to start manually in the WebLogic administration server, but it has not started and I found the following error in ErpIntegrator0.log.

    In your case, it seems that the list of the WKA is formed using the IP 127.0.0.1 loopback address but consistency has bound to the IP address of 10 points. Finally, make sure that they match so that ODI Agent can start, but given that it's a DHCP box you well then that tends to add another layer of complication.

    What we tend to do in support with DHCP boxes to avoid problems with name resolution is to simulate a static IP address by adding a loopback adapter (google, you can add a loopback adapter Server 2008 for instructions) with a static IP address (I often use smth like setting IPv4 10.10.10.10 (, netmask 255.255.255.0 & no gateway) then add an entry to the hosts file to map the IP address for the host name of the host name for example, 10.10.10.10

    I would start by looping config tbh as I remember seeing someone with a box of AWS, earlier when helping a colleague where host name resolution was not working with that tool and they had problems with the Agent of ODI.

    I'll answer your questions, but you need to understand is that FDMEE is built at the top of the ODI and relies on it to make its charges of data etc. It offers is a user-friendly interface and a lot of value-added features like that out of the box auditing, reporting, Pierce back capabilities and an extremely powerful and accessible mapping engine. If your target applications are part of the entire Oracle Hyperion product, then FDMEE would be the wise choice for loading the data. ODI is a business integration tool that can move data between heterogeneous technologies. It provides templates of code in the form of its knowledge Modules that support different, but integration strategies in general, we must still build all streams integration of a set of components, nothing came out of the box. Compared to FDMEE it requires more technical knowledge and is not very accessible to your users of the average company in its pure form.

    Take a look at the following support doc - ' java.io.InvalidClassException: com.hyperion.planning.HspException' reported when attempting to return a genius Hyperion Planning data warehouses (ID of Doc 1378423.1).

    I've seen usually the error when the username/password of planning name is either incorrect in ODI or has no administrative privileges

    ODI is installed in C:\Oracle\Middleware\odi for FDMEE, but to access the ODI console that is deployed on the successful FDMEE Weblogic Server, you must go to http://server:19000 / odiconsole. If you must use designer components but then you must install ODI 11.1.1.7 Studio.

    You can run the executable files with some Jython something like that (where batch.bat contains commands to start your ODI scenario according to running - 11 g Release 1 (11.1.1) integration process)
