• Integration of DRM with Hyperion Planning Application

  We try to decide whether to include DRM in our solution or not, and I'm new to this module.

  -It depends if you want to use ODI or not, planning utility gives OultineLoad, you must generate an export of DRM in the required format and load it to the planning application. But ODI can integrate other technologies, which can pop - in the future to come. Also better control the flow of data with debugging.

  2. what happens if I am on application of EPMA, what a way to integrate metadata between DRM and enforcement?

  You can integrate DRM with EPMA and allows to load the DRM metadata for library EPMA which will flow more in the planning.

• PeopleSoft for integration of DRM

  Is there a way to integrate PeopleSoft for DRM?
  
  Requirement: Couple of hierarchies is kept in PeopleSoft. If there are changes in PeopleSoft, he will push a flat file. DRM needs to load these changes on a regular basis.

  (1) you are right. Another option is the load the hierarchy of PeopleSoft and the DRM hierarchy in a database, then compare the two hierarchies for changes. Once you have changes, you can load them in DRM. This option is not that great if you need to make the comparison on multiple hierarchies, but it is another option.

• DRM of EBS GL (no merge)

  I've been here earlier describing the integration between DRM and eBS GL.  I found the interface boards and published directly to them the values and hierarchies and what seemed like the properties required of eBS.  I published an account hierarchy and all of the leaf members that are on this account hierarchy.

  We are trying to pick up the stored procedure from there, publish it to GL from there (on the tables GL_DRM_SEGVALUES_INTERFACE and GL_DRM_HIERARCHY_INTERFACE box) to the Base Oracle tables.  We have found the stored procedure but got some errors so far.

  Can anyone predict problems that we can meet or anticipate what are the mandatory fields?  One of the mistakes we have made is to set the summary indicator.

  Denz said earlier that the installation of the API with GL is "capricious" or something like that.

  I had know what the summary indicator me was at one time

  Unless something has changed the summary indicator is defined by the OracleGL.Parent property in DRM which should hopefully be mapped in the DRM export used to populate the tables of GL interface. 1603836.1 Note that I wrote after having solved my headache with a problem of integration of DRM is an explanation of how this DRM property is developed.

  I do not agree with Denz DRM web service configuration and integration with EBS GL can be quite difficult at times, but once it is up and running is usually strong enough in my experience. If above doesn't help if let us know the errors being considered and anyone must be able to provide pointers, I think.

  Sorry for the confusion, I answered regarding the ODI 11 g (still the most widely used version) that you were not specific about the version in your original question. Yes, debugging features have been introduced in 12 c but there is no eqiuivalent of watchpoints.

  It's because of you first installed studio ODI and SDK and once again for the second time that you installed autonomous Agent so during the second config installation it will ask you the path for ODI home and you selected the same way because we have need of an empty path if we do not want this prompt on the right , so IE selecting ""and he asked that the ODI has detected an existing ' ODI home, then after that the autonomous agent, it will take another folder in startup programs why because this is nothing but a shortcut and a shortcut will not have same name it must be different, as now, in your system " , it should be as 'Oracle Data Integrator' and ' Oracle Data Integrator (2) ".

  
  

  So don't worry what are shortcuts it will not effect you whatever it is and autonomous agent is configured on the same path of ODI.

• ODI 11 g & AGENT startup, password encoding

  Hi all
  I installed ODI 11, while I start ODI studio(C:\ODI_11g\oracledi\client\odi.exe) or all programs = > Oracle = > Data Integrator Oracle = > studio ODI. I get a window that says (1st time only) "enter fullpath for the java.exe" so I walked into < ODI_HOME > \jrockit-jdk1.6.0_17 happened by is it beautiful?
  
  I ran to get the master repository password eocoded password,
  C:\ODI_11g\oracledi\agent\bin > encode.bat
  Enter the password to encode:
  at the command prompt, but its not taking password I type not same uniqueness.

  When I try to import data from my environment 3.0 in my 3.1 environment using the command:

  . / short-cmd import-JJ laptop.org/gettingstarted - off connection-name laptop.org/gettingstarted

  I get the error; Could not connect to the server short to 192:7001.

  I can create areas of data to create JJ.

  Is a set of data exported 3.0 not 3.1-compatible?

  Marco,

  Due to changes in the index data structure of 3.0 domains cannot be directly imported into 3.1.  If you still have the source data you can recharge it via Integrator ETL or ODI.  If this isn't the case, it is possible to take advantage of the component of web service in Integrator to export the records for serialization of disc or by writing directly to an instance of 3.1.

• Using the data logged in an interface with the aggragate function

  I'm trying to use logged data from a source table in one of my interfaces in ODI. The problem is that one of the mappings on the columns target implies a function (sum) overall. When I run the interface, I get an error saying not "a group by expression. I checked the code and found that the columns jrn_subscriber, jrn_flag, and jrn_date are included in the select statement, but not in the group by statement (the statement group contains only remiaining two columns of the target table).
  
  Is there a way to get around this? I have to manually change the km? If so how would I go to do it?
  
  Also I'm using Oracle GoldenGate JKM (OGG oracle for oracle).

  Symptoms
  After successfully testing UI integration ODI using a function of aggregation such as MIN, MAX, SUM, it is necessary to implement change using tables of Journalized Data Capture operations.

  However, during the execution of the integration Interface to retrieve only records from Journalized, has problems to step load module loading knowledge data and the following message appears in the log of ODI:

  ORA-00979: not a GROUP BY expression
  Cause
  Using the two CDC - logging and functions of aggregation gives rise to complex problems.
  Solution

  Technically, there is a work around for this problem (see below).
  WARNING: Problem of engineers Oracle a severe cautioned that such a type of establishment may give results that are not what could be expected. This is related to how ODI logging is applied in the form of specific logging tables. In this case, the aggregate function works only on the subset that is stored (referenced) in the table of logging and on completeness of the Source table.

  * The first integration Interface loads the data into a temporary Table and specify aggregate functions to use in this initial integration Interface.
  * The second integration Interfaces uses the temporary Table as Source. Note that if you create the Table in the Interface, it is necessary to drag and drop Interface for integration into the Source Panel.

  (b) define the two connections to the database so that separate and distinct references to the Interface of two integration server Data Sources (one for the newspaper, one of the other Tables). In this case, the aggregate function will be executed on the schema of the Source.

  Part 1:

  After talking with my boyfriend of Siebel, here's what I understand:

  ODI will load the tables of EIM, which, said, is 75% of employment

  and the last 25% is the .ifb file is generated and ths to run the file on the

  Server Manager.
