DROID: Duplicate contact fields

I transferred my contacts from my Treo 650 to my Droid by exporting data using Palm Desktop and then using gmail Contacts tool. It was a long process and I learned a lot about the CSV format and vCal. Everything seemed to work well possibly (although my contacts are in alphabetical order by first name, I hate), but I now seem to have a touch with duplucate fields. When I bring up the contact and choose "Edit Contact", I see this:

I want to get rid of the first set of fields, which appear to be fakes. Can anyone help?

Oh wait, we are talking about a contact?  I thought that ALL your contacts have duplicate fields.

If it's just a yes man, drop and re-create it.

    You could ask the author to add it on. Support for Add ons are the responsibility of the author.

  • Skype duplicate contacts and merge Outlook Contacts

    Skype has just decided to synchronize my Skype contacts with my Outlook contacts, resulting in a gigantic mess. I would like to keep these two separate worlds, although there may be few people on both lists. Reason is that I consider my Outlook Contacts more private - only people close belongs there. So I use my Skype account in labor, of course, different sets of contacts.

    Current state is when my Outlook Contacts, I can see people from Skype, in the calendar, I see birthday events of Skype accounts (I don't like really not on). In addition, some duplicate contacts or even tripled in my list (and 'Cleaning' Outlook is not able to handle these).

    Is there a way:

    -How to restore this synchronization, delete Skype from Outlook Contacts contacts

    -How to keep Skype/MSA of this yet (other than creating separate accounts or don't use only not Skype at all)

    -How to not have synchronized contacts, but with MSA associated with Skype, FB, LinkedIn and Twitter, so I can see pictures of people dedicated to my contacts

    Where/how to connect me to Skype

    -Skype on desktop

    -Skype on iOS (my main phone, where all contacts appear messy way)

    -Skype running on my WP with 10 Windows mobile installed (my phone of dust collection)

    (I don't really know if this is the question on the side of Skype or Microsoft - I see redundancy developing UWP Skype app, which could be the source of this issue; in any case, please fill bug for this issue)

    After some time trying to figure out what is the problem and how to fix it, I simply decided to untie MSA of Skype... Indeed, on the side of Skype it was done immediately, unfortunately it took Oultook.com almost a week to stop showing me the Skype contacts.

    Detective Conan... I wish that Microsoft had not come with this fusion of all contact...

  • Contact field to update based on form selections

    Hello

    I have a form preferably of the customer (which I heavily customized it) where a customer can select what they are interested in us with 2 boxes of custom field.  Based on their combination of selections that then, I need to update a contact field "Pavilion".

    for example:

    checked 1 + 2, flag = N

    checked only, indicator 1 = M

    checked the only, indicator 2 = E

    None verified, flag = B

    In the normal universe I would do just that with Javascript onclick, however, because I want to use 'The Population form' that I have to use a landing page not HTML, paste my code using snippets of html code that does not support the onclick or glorious onsubmit or other such functions javascript (this is to the best of my knowledge, based on my experience in the last month If I'm wrong, please put me right!  I'd love to do all this in the pure HTML form and have the 'form Population'!)

    I am appearing only still my way around Eloqua -, is there a way that I can do in the form of processing steps, or feed a program (I really only learned about 2 days ago, so would need a direction here), or update rules (again, would need advice) or something else that I don't even know not exist?

    I guess you can achieve through measures of processing of forms.

    Suppose you have two boxes below (if it is a single checkbox that would make it even easier to reach):

    Now in the stages of processing of forms, select 'Update Contacts - With Custom Values' and the name field of the contact that you want to update with the flag. As the next section, select the type of update to "Set to a value" as follows:

    Now subordinate processing step according to the logic that you want to apply. For example, if you want to perform this step of treatment based on a combination of both ' case 1' & ' case 2' values, you can apply the logic as follows:

  • It is possible to compare the contact fields based on the value of data updated?

    Hi all -

    I would like to run a filter and compare my contact fields if the value in a field has been updated or changed.

    for example if the data in the "first name" value changes to be empty to have a value, which would respect the requirement.  Also if "phone number" 123-456-7890 to 999-000-0000 that would also meet the requirement.

    Did anyone done this before?  Any ideas of how to implement?

    If that's what you're talking about, there is no trace of audit in Eloqua.

    It will be great if Oracle can verify the critical fields.

    The solution is to create to the top of the field in another area, so when it changes, you can compare the values.

  • Canvas campaign: filters common vs compare the Contact fields

    Is there a difference between using one or several Contact fields compare elements vs using a shared filter?

    In my campaign, I need to check if one of the three fields is equal to something specific (and therefore remove them from the campaign).  I couldn't achieve exactly the same results if I used a shared filter that sought the same criteria?

    1. the shared filter evaluates when someone passes through this point of decision.  It is different from that of a Segment in which a Segment is your first point of qualification for a campaign (so why someone "stays in the segment").  They actually stay in the segment so that they did not leave the campaign yet.  If the segment is more permissive, your filter shared between them, so that hardly leave the campaign according to your rule.

    2. I saw your other post on the date field.  You're right... when I try in the Web I get an error as well.  Definitely a bug in the interface user, as you can do in a segment.  I would say for now you use the shared empty contact filter and log a ticket with Support for the bug in the user interface.

  • How filter you to "Contact field contains a value ANY?

    Hi - Maybe this is a stupid question, but...

    I am trying to set up a filter in E10 that will check if a specific Contact field simply has a value, but make me a bit stuck. E9, I used to set up like this: Contact field XX contains =? *

    However, I'm trying to implement this filter criteria in a segment of the E10 and it doesn't seem to work. So far I have tried:

    Contact XX field contains '? "*" = 0 contacts

    Contact XX field contains "?" = 0 contacts

    Contact XX field contains "*" = 0 contacts

    Contact XX field contains"" = all contacts in my database, no matter if there is a Contact field value or not

    So my question is, what is the best way to set up a filter to include all contacts where a specific Contact field contains a value, as long as it is not a Virgin?

    Hi Erika,

    You can do this by using the 'model matches wildcard' filter criteria in Eloqua10.  The "matches wildcard pattern' is similar to 'exactly', but he recognizes the * and? wildcard characters.  If your filter criteria would look like:

    Contact area XX matches wildcard pattern '? * »

    Try to set up a block to compare the Contact fields in a Segment.  You want to check the value of a field is one of the two values (data source are a drop-down list in SFDC).  I put the criteria "to be defined", which then provides a bunch of games to choose from.  None of these default settings work for me, so where do I go to create new sets?

    The option "to define" will check if a contact field contains a value in a list of selection.  You can create new lists of selection in the Setup > fields & views > Setup > manage select lists.  From there, you change the values in existing selection lists or create new ones.  Selection lists can be created either by entering the values manually, either by downloading a CSV values.

  • Multiples of the same object/value in a contact field

    In our table of Contacts of the E10, I feel a very strange behavior with a field called 'Type of Contact'. The field has been set as a drop-down list.

    Suddenly, multiples of the value stored in this field in the documents that get 2-way sync between E and SFDC, Ont. Thus, for example, if the value of the field

    has been 'Operator', the actual value is passed to 'OperatorOperator '. And the more you synch, the value is (as seems to be added).

    Then, the value would be "OperatorOperatorOperatorOperator".

    Wake up to the problem and setting values is tricky, because in the E10 user interface, you won't notice them if you use a drop-down list.

    I then changed the field to be a textbox to think what might help. And there is progress here. If there are more than two objects of value in the field,

    they present themselves. IF there were only two, everything looks ok just as you can see in the screenshot below:

    More survey close using that an outgoing external call Test reveals, however, that the value is actually duplicated:

    Also, if you have opened upward the selected record under Contacts the contents of the field (after changing text box):

    and then remove the selection (by tapping the button Delete), you could actually get a hint that something does not always work with the field:

    Finally, I tried to fix the multiplied values SFDC and autosych back to Eloqua, but unfortunately the values do not get it fixed but

    keep duplicate values stored in.

    That did the trick. It must have been a flaw in the external call-out who copied the value out. would have not thought about it in the first place...

    PS. and of course the external call test has shown that the field mapping was abt to do, IE send a duplicated value (although the field could have only a single (or double) value in db at the time.)

    I have a duplicate of almost all of the contacts in my Contacts application. It's the same thing for my MacBook Pro, the iPhone and the iPad. Fist contact has an email address listed. 2nd contact is the same as the first that only the e-mail address is listed as a "charset". How can I eliminate the overlap?

    If the contacts are sync would be your Android gmail account, I suggest you make from the web and allowing the synchronization of changes to your computers and devices.  Here's how:

    1 - Open Gmail.com and sign in using this account
    2 - go to your contact list
    3. in the menu "more" on the page, choose "find and merge duplicates.  It will allow you to make them all at once, and no information is lost (she combines duplicate data, or add additional information to a person where possible).

    Hi Alok,

    We have seen, the installation program for all sorts of things, but you can set a maximum to see everything you want to see. If you are the administrator, you can go to settings-> fields & views. Here, you can switch around with how you want it to look.

    I'm trying to update the field currentStatus using REST APIs to a contact record, and the result is still "pending action". Can update us this field to a custom string?

    Why you try to change the status?

    It is related to a cloud connector, if the external status you need to update.  See Cloud Connector API - with members in a stage of the program for more information.

    the currentStatus field is a reserved domain that PB and the canvas campaign uses, so you can't change it.
