Drop-down navigation

Hi, I have a query that retrieves the DB product categories, I use a navigation type drop-down list. I want to dynamically fill down towards the bottom of the table with the values of the query. I don't know how to increase the number of line for each value.

This is the menu script

var menu2 = new Array()
menu2 [0] =' < a href = "projectresultsnew.cfm? cid = #category.categoryid # ' > #category.category# < /a > '" "
menu2 [1] =' < a href = "projectresultsnew.cfm? cid = #category.categoryid # ' > #category.category# < /a > '" "
menu2 [2] =' < a href = "projectresultsnew.cfm? cid = #category.categoryid # ' > #category.category# < /a > '" "

So, essentially, I need to repeat several times the line 2 and to increase the number of line of the menu every time. Any ideas. The tables are not my strong point. Thank you

Jim

If you are running version 7, you can use the toScript function to pass variables from CF to js. In addition, each column in the query can be treated as a table, but the syntax is delicate.

These two bits of information will allow you to send the category and categoryid fields to js tabular. Then you wind up just through one of them to build your menu.

    I did a Fireworks navigation bar that works. I did a movie in Flash that works. I have been assembled in Dreamweaver that looks right. But when I saw in the browser, the fields from drop-down list in the Navigation bar to disappear behind the film. I'm not up to Code view. Help, please!

    > I'm not up to Code view.

    If you mean by that, you have no interest in looking at the source code and
    Change it, then I suggest that you just move the flash file, so it is out of
    the way of the navigation bar.

  • list for drop-down navigation

    Captivate 8 is it possible to create a drop-down list that displays a list of slides, and when the user selects one of the slides, and then navigates the user to slide they have chosen?

    Jay,

    Do you need HTML5 output, or are you pointing to a sensitive project? If this isn't the case, the old widget GotoSlideAS3 is still available in Captivate 8 but only for SWF-output. Its formatting is limited, but it will do exactly what you want.

    Otherwise, there is no equivalent for this useful widget of learning interaction. You can use the drop-down list interaction (thus limiting formatting), but it can only select a slide (is a static widget) and you will need another interactive object to go to the selected slide.

  • drop down navigation menu

    After the transition to version 4, the navigation menu dropdown menu, showing the most recently visited pages (near the navigation arrow buttons), disappeared. How can I get that back?

    Click and hold the unified back / next button, or right-click to get the rear / front in the history of this tab.

    Or install this extension to get the restored former "drop-marker" button.

  • Unable to see full in drop-down menus (top bar)

    Hey,.

    TL; DR - my menus go above the screen and I can't access the options.

    Do not know when or why it happened, but my menu drop-down navigation of the Apple at the top of the menu bar.

    The menu does not allow me to see anything above the screen or scrolling to that count... This is true for all icons (wifi, sound, date and time, etc.). I tried to restart at the most. Should I try to reset the NVRAM?

    Help, please!

    Restart your Mac. If this does not help, restart secure boot mode.

    Start with the SHIFT key is pressed. This will start in Safe Mode, with all extensions turned off. Safe mode is slow to start, so give it time, it checks a lot of tasks. If it works fine in Safe Mode, restart normally. If it works now, you are finished.

    If the problem comes back after a reboot, you have an extension conflict. Disable all extensions via system preferences. To isolate which extension is at fault, turn on an extension at the same time, restart in the meantime, until you find bad.

  • Drop-down menu does not when the navigation bar collapses for mobile devices

    My menu drop-down does not work correctly when the navigation bar collapses on mobile devices. The menu, but it's completely to the left, not right where I like it and hidden under a picture so that none of the links are accessible. The site is http://www.medicinedancecounseling.com.

    Index-Z = stacking order.  So even if you make menu items at the top, they mask your portrait in a most flattering way.

  • Drop-down menu does not when the navigation bar collapses in rocker

    Hi all

    I use 3 "bootstrap" on the site below and I have some questions when the navigation bar collapses in rocking, as it seems to stop the drop down menus to work. When you tap or click the drop-down menus, the menu closes just, once again.

    Can someone tell me please on this?

    http://www.clockdoctors.co.UK/test/index.html

    I apologize to this topic. I didn't see that earlier post, I obviously had a blond moment.

    OK, so I think that I fixed it!

    I first tried to remove the script ' ' to see what would happen. Which translates to the stop of the page class 'scrolling' to work, but then allows the drop-down menu to work as it should, as you say.

    I then put this script, but removed this piece of code in the file "agency.js".

    Close the sensitive Menu on the Menu, click on item

    $('.navbar-effondrement_ul_li_a').click (function () {}

    $('.navbar-toggle:visible').click ();

    });

    and now it works fine!

  • Menu navigation drop-down Menu

    I am new to Dreamweaver CS6 and as I go along in the design of a learning site. Here is the link to see the navigation menu, with the list in the menu which runs through in columns and rows and a black line that appears when the mouse passes over a menu drop-down. I tried to create the same look but couldn't and am stuck. Spry has been used and how to create the list in columns and rows in the menu drop-down? Or was this done using a jQuery template (what jQuery sites)? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    http://www.perennialsfabrics.com/

    This isn't a Spry menu.  It's a mega Menu reagent system that seems to be part of a framework of Bootstrap.

    In all cases, you can not do with Spry.  Also Spry is now obsolete as Adobe he abandoned last year.

  • Horizontal navigation with Menu drop-down

    Hello!

    I'm trying to put together a site with a horizontal navigation with elements in the drop-down list. I built my plan with the main pages and child pages and added my horizontal navigation on the master page, but when I go to preview, I can't see any of my pages from the drop-down list (child). Is it possible to fix this? (I have attached a screenshot, I hope this helps clarify...)Adobe-Muse-Horizontal-Menu.jpg

    I knew that this problem will return that's why I mentioned the note that "child pages at the same level in the Plan view are listed vertically in a Horizontal Menu."

    If you have a look at the Plan view of your Site, you will have child pages under the other which translates a horizontal navigation as you found it.

    You must have all the pages of the child at the same level, while they are placed vertically (as you like) in the Menu.

    You can drag and drop the child pages in outline view to move them to the same level.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

    Sachin

  • Navigation - drop down menus

    I have a vertical navigation bar on the right side of my home page. The submenus are right instead of below the main menu item. On smaller screens, this puts the buttons off the screen. Is there not a way to move the drop menu drop down so it goes down below the main menu item?

    Sub menus of a vertical navigation menu will only display on the right side, unfortunately you can not change this setting.

  • The drop-down list on the navigation bar goes back in Firefox

    I can't understand why the navigation bar on a site that I've just started going behind the image below instead of top it in Firefox.  It works fine in Explorer.  Help!  http://jeannettedutton.com/MLVC/index.html

    Jeannette

    The drop-down list will also behind in Safari and Chrome. So I would say that the fact that it works in Internet Explorer is just pure luck (or quirks of IE) and FF, Safari and Chrome are entitled.

    In general, the css property that stacks one element on the other is the z-index:

    http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_pos_z-index.asp

    But I don't see any z-index used in the menu or the image rotation.

    So if these two elements are z-index 0 default (no declared z-index), positioning will then have juvenile which item is displayed... rotating images cancels the drop... so to speak.

    I couldn't test a good z-index applied to the menu, so I applied a negative (below zero) z-index to '#rotating - point - wrapper' (via Firebug) and got the menu to display on top of the images.

    z--index: 100;

    So for the test, add a negative z-index to "#rotating - point - wrapper"... just to see the z-indexing can solve the problem." then if you don't like using a negative z-index, apply good z-index in the menu dropdown.

    Best wishes

    You're not giving us much to go.  There are at least a dozen different ways to make interactive menus.
