My PC has really slowed down.  It's less than a year. Everything was great for the first 3 months.  I can connect to the internet (although not as quickly as in the first instance), but it takes a long while to connect to sites & sometimes it just doesn't happen, even if you can see it is by train.  I'm a complete novice, so I ask someone for help, but don't really understand the jargon. They advised me to try to take back to factory settings, I did, but no improvement.  I bought a new hub & I have full signal. Please can you help with a simple solution

How did you do that?

but no improvement.  I bought a new hub & I have full signal. Please can you help with a simple solution

What type of hub (number of the brand and the model)? Why did you buy it? Why do you have
you need a hub? Have you had one before this new one? What has been the
number of brand and model of that one?

Or when you say 'hub', maybe you hear a modem? A router?

Is it just the internet that is slow or the rest of the
computer?

What type of internet connection do you have? Dialup? Cable? DSL?
Something else?
Who is your ISP? Have you tried to contact them and ask if they
knew what was wrong?

What anti-virus and anti-spyware programs do you run? They stay up
to this day?
