Duplicate command

Hi gurus,

How to check sales orders twice before entering the sales order form.

Examples: My customer received order of sales by customer and entered into the system, tomorrow same client requests even sent by mistake. Here at the customer's location, they go once more into the system.

Y at - it an option if the command is the same as the previous command to the respective customer, the system should through error message saying that "double command."

We recommend that: If the customer has order number, we can update in their respective fields, tomorrow if we receive any order us up by Customer PO, if it is not found. We enter the sales order but the client does not send the purchase order number at the request of PO.

He fears if the client sends that same per os twice, a second is duplicate, how to eliminate in the same part number, same quantity-based oracle system;

Is there an alert to eliminate it?

Appreciate your answers.

Thank you
Kumar

    The strings that you entered in your file name conversion settings does not match where actually your data files. If the string does not match the names of files, there is no names of files to convert. Because you're on windows, how about something like this?

    set db_file_name_convert='\ORCL\','\ORCLSTD\'
    set log_file_name_convert='\ORCL\','\ORCLSTD\'

    Hope that helps...

  • Question about RMAN DUPLICATE command

    Oracle version: 10.2
    Operating system: Solaris 10

    To create a physical standby DB, I'll take full DB more backup archivelog on main site and copy it to the location of the previous day.
    I'm going to standby mode,
    startup nomount pfile=/path/init.ora
    rman target sys/password@primDB auxiliary /

    RMAN> run {
    allocate channel t1 device type disk;
    allocate auxiliary channel t2 device type disk;
    duplicate target database for standby nofilenamecheck;
    }
    1. is it true that I need to keep the full backup on the main site when you run the RMAN DUPLICATE backup server? In the affirmative. Why? We have already copied the full backup to the backup site. Right?

    2. why the command DORECOVER is optional?

    3. several archived newspapers may have been generated after that full backups have been copied to the backup site. When you run the backup site COPY command, RMAN will extract the info again newly generated primary and apply automatically in standby mode?

    Hello;

    I keep the RMAN backup on the primary until the copy is complete, so my RMAN catalog know about it. Sound cleaner this way. What magic RMAN can or can not do with it is not very important IMHO.
    Don't forget that the news of the eve doesn't have to be registered with RMAN, because it is the same database as the main. However you can use a tape with the method too, so it's probably more to do with not having to repeat the same backup if you make a mistake.

    I've never had to use a DORECOVER to a double never. Completing this task at least 30 times and I think 'optional' is not a word strong enough. According to the doc DORECOVER specifies that RMAN should recover the database after it is created. I've never had to use it. See this doc for more information:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B19306_01/backup.102/b14194/rcmsynta028.htm

    On move any what archiving log new expectations before to start the double so the news of the day before can start working immediately, without additional measures. Usually the Data Guard will begin apply immediately and have RMAN does not do anything. None of the notes has any special note for additional archives moving after starting two copies. RMAN duplicates and Data Guard apply struggling upward.

    Here are my notes on this topic: (these works on Oracle 10 or 11 of the Oracle)

    What version of Photoshop are you using? I think the problem is that you have multiple selected layers when you perform step duplicate. With the new version that will be fooled all selected layers. By three not fooled, you are indeed fool all the layers selected three times.

    I think you should do that one step of dupe or change the layer selection to a single layer after layer selected and before step of dupe.

    When I said 'last archivelog' I meant 'last archivelog to apply' - so in your case the archivelog at backup time.

    V$ rman_status a request for the RMAN backup end time.

    Oracle Linux 5

    Noticed today by testing a script to "Refresh" a database of test for prod with the db of rman DUPLICATE command.  This script was inherited from my predecessor and worked for several years with only an occasional hiccup.  One of the steps has several asmcmd commands to remove the test db files before running the rman DUPLICATE.  Over the years the specification of files to remove has become something of a hodgepodge, so I thought that I clean it up and fix it so it doesn't ' both on the specifics of care.

    I thought I noticed something strange in the execution of my revised script, but in the end, it all came out ok.  But I was still a little curious then tried manually (with the db closed, of course).  Here's what I have observed.

  • Is it possible to use scripts to duplicate a layer?

    I recently asked this question in the Illustrator forum that I did not know there was a separate script forum: find and replace text problem

    I finished just dangling down and solve my problem after spending a few hours just to experiment with script guide.

    Now, I'm finishing the final piece of the puzzle for this script which would be totally solved my problem. Is it possible to make the script duplicate a layer? There is a duplicate() function, but it seems not to apply to the layer element. Is there a work around?

    Thanks for your help

    Michael

    Regarding javascript:
    -CS5, you must name a new layer, called the same name as your source for baptism layer and then duplicate each element of the source for the new layer.

    Be aware that things such as graphical styles, layer, opacity masks on layers and sublayers don't get carried forward like that.

    However, with the CS6 + that allows a script to play an action, you can actually get "whole enchilada" by recording an action where you go into the menu drop down and use the "Duplicate" command This will save "layers > duplicate Selection" in action. Then, you can use javascript to target your desired layer and play this action. Your new layer will be a string of "copy" added automatically, so you can choose to delete or modify that.

  • Let the RMAN to know the location of the backup during RMAN DUPLICATE item

    RDBMS Version: 11.2.0.3
    Platform: AIX 6.1

    I spent a few discussions lately about the creation of standby DB by using the RMAN DUPLICATE method.

    Taking an example from a thread by steve74 yesterday.

    The commands below are executed after copying the elements of hot backup of the primary DB Backup on the standby server.
    --- Will be running the following DUPLICATE command from standby server

    export ORACLE_SID=orcldg
    SQL> startup nomount pfile='/u01/app/oracle/11.2/db_home1/dbs/initorcldg.ora'

    rman target sys/mypass@PRIMARY_TNS auxiliary /

    run
    {
         allocate channel C1 device type disk;
         allocate auxiliary channel C2 device type disk;
         duplicate target database for standby nofilenamecheck;
    }
    The auxiliary instance is just in NOMOUNT. Lets say I copied the primary DB Backup items to the
    following in the standby server location
    /u04/backup/RMAN
    I don't see all the above commands which allows to RMAN knows about this place where are stored the backup pieces. For regular DB cloning, we are cataloging of backup items using the CATALOG command. But, you need a control file to do cataloging. The auxiliary instance does still not have control file. So, how this work?

    Hello

    simple. duplicate is a faster and simpler, method because you issue a command.
    After configuration, you issue a command, and if the pfile/spfile is properly configured, RMAN takes care of ALL the necessary measures, even for ASM (assuming the switch of data file also). It restores the CF, he set up the db, it restores, it retrieves, it updates the CF with the correct names, it converts file names if necessary, open the DB ETC.
    And, since only a single command is used, it is less prone to errors.
    And allows you to save a lot of trouble.
    Quite simply, you have a few details such as the location of the backuppieces.

    It works very well also for DEV env refreshes (with a few modifications on the pfile/spfile file).

    Hi all

    The data file 344 and 345 belonged to two different tablespaces that were not used.

    More, I don't know why, but the timestamp on these two data files 344 and 345 was showiing like JULY 6 instead of JULY 28.

    If I was sure that this was causing the problem.

    I gave these 2 storage spaces and then runs again once again the script removing created controlfiles and the database has been opened.

    Just curious as to why these 2 data files were not getting filled with the timestamp of the last?

    Concerning
    KK

    What is the status of the two data files? You can query to source database
    SQL > select file_id, dba_data_files online_status where file_id in (344 345);

    This backup contains these two files? If these two tablespaces have only a data file is in read-only mode?

    1) mac1-> backend
    2) mac2-> backup server

    File structure of database as a backup on the server location is the same.

    Entry TNSNAME on both servers are perfect, verified using tnsping.

    Now, to create a backup database.

    I made the RMAN backup on mac1 (main server) then transferred backup (full backup directory) to mac2 (backup server)

    Then, on the standby server,

    -> took on the eve of the database in nomount mode

    and when I put the target database (standby db) in the editing mode, gives the error below:

    RMAN and 05500: the auxiliary database must not be mounted on the issue of a duplicate order

    where I did mistake? How to solve this problem?

    Concerning

    Hello

    There is nothing wrong

    target (in fact the Pb of the source) must be mounted
    auxiliary (actually the destination db) can not be mounted.

    These messages refers to the source and destination db. from 11 g, you can duplicate opensource db (a.k.a. target)

    When you duplicate the database its looking for the last archivelog generated, its not get it and failing. recover your database using the until the command until you have available archives journal. After that, open your database in the mode resetlog.

  • RMAN Duplicate Hot

    Is it possible to duplicate a database that is running hot when backup is performed, and which remains open and in use in all of the duplicate command?

    I'm trying to clone a production database (so no failures!) on a second server. My script connects to the target database more archivelog and copy the backup resuling to clone the server. Which extends over about an hour. Then I run a second rman script that simply says:
    connect auxiliary sys/v0yager1@clonedb
    run{
    set until time 'sysdate-10/24/60';
    duplicate target database to clonedb nofilenamecheck;
    }
    But this produces errors "no copy backup of file 1 is was found", probably because I'm pleading for a time, which is regarded as before "restorable time" performed just backup. But I thought that ten minutes before this command is issued is about 50 minutes from the start of the backup, so I have files that could be restored and then found ourselves very well. Thinking about it again, however, I see that the last saved files will probably leave an hour after than timestamp, and those who can not be rolled back, then Yes, I would have expected failure. The problem is when I missed the 'set until time' clause completely, the thing also fails. Plain "sysdate", maybe.

    I cloned these databases with RMAN several times before, but they were scheduled interruptions when I could get the source database in Mount - and I was cloning so a "stationary object. I have not tried the fact with a database running, and I don't know if it really is possible. Any help would be appreciated.

    For the record, this is 10.2.0.4, 64-bit Windows 2003. And we do not systematically use RMAN for backup/recovery (political!), so when I do an RMAN backup for the purposes of cloning, this is the only backup that exists at this time. I can't, in other words, use commands that would work if there were one or more backups before my procedure of cloning did take place.

    It works fine, but on the recording buffer there are a lot of % SYS-5-CONFIG_I: configured from console by the vty0 (EEM:moncores) messages - one per minute - here is an example:

    29 Oct 17:55:01: % SYS-5-CONFIG_I: configured from console by the vty0 (EEM:dualcore)

    29 Oct 17:56:01: % SYS-5-CONFIG_I: configured from console by the vty0 (EEM:dualcore)

    29 Oct 17:57:01: % SYS-5-CONFIG_I: configured from console by the vty0 (EEM:dualcore)

    I considered logging remove duplicates command allows to prevent the consecutive record from multiple copies of the same system logging (syslog) message, but it is only available for the Cisco IOS XR.

    Could someone help me to determine if it is possible to avoid this messages via the on-board system log manager, I tried to do this, but

    I did not.

    Kind regards
