Duplicate task bar buttons

With most of the programs I've pinned to the taskbar, when I click on the icon to quick launch Windows 7 changes this icon in a button. But with a few programs, iTunes for example, Windows creates a new button further to the bottom of the taskbar and let the same icon. Why this happens and what I can do to change it?

This can occur after a program is updated, depending on the configuration of programs their shortcuts.  Run the program so that you have 2 icons showing.  Do a right click and UN - first pin (left) to remove it.  Then right-click the 'real' and PIN.  Move it to where you want, and it should work as you expect then continuation.

1 have had any changes made to your computer before this problem?

I suggest you try the methods mentioned below and check if it helps:

    Method 1:

You can also scan your computer the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox window is sometimes "off screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?

A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt. You can delete this file and Firefox will return to standard window resizing.

#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

#2 method: If you can not get a Firefox window for all:

Close Firefox by right clicking the icon in the taskbar > close all windows.

Using the Run dialog box (windows key + R) or the start search bar menu type or paste the following and press Enter to drill down to the profiles folder:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Here you can see a folder - in this case, double-click that - or more than one case - in this case, double-click on in what looks like the most recently updated.

Scroll down and rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

Then, to re - light bars, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bars it:

To activate the menu bar, toolbar bookmarks or other bars, click it in the list.

  • Why 'Rocket Life Messenger' is loaded in my auto task bar?

Does anyone know who, what, when, where, or why there's a 'Life Messenger rocket' loaded in my auto task bar? I can not find the program on my computer. I closed it, deleted every shortcut in "Start-up", but it keeps creeping in. It is not even trying to hide. Thus, it is constantly active. In my view, that it slows down my computer. I did a search on the internet and found a site claiming to have uninstall (http://rocket.fanhow.com/rocket-life-messeger) on this subject. But, I did find it listed, just a download button. He was down right suspicious...

original title: Messenger of life of rocket

HP Photo of the uses of creations RocketLife. If you remove or disable, your program HP photo creations will be will not work.

    Open HP Photo Creations.

He opens a box that does allow you track, supposedly to help offer you ideas for relevant products for your photo creations.

After checking the box 'Allow', RocketLife , are rarely visible. If you DON'T see it, it will disappear very quickly. Once you allow it, is no longer slow your computer either.

    BUT:

In fact, it crashed my computer. It would not start. Microsofts "Startup Repair" has been able to get my computer, but I learned toimmediately to remove any program that I had recently installed such as a music player. Guess what? HP Photo Creations has a music player.

I used Revo Uninstaller to remove HP Photo Creations, because it removes the entire left on files, folders, and registry keys.

If you install a printer, my suggestion is to delete all Photo Creator to prevent a dead computer, this isn't worth it.

"print key" on the windows live photo gallery is hidden by the task bar, so I can't select it.  How I choose it?

Resize your window by clicking Restore button (or the - and the X in the upper right corner of the window) and drag the window to the where you can see the "print" key.  You can also minimize the window and drag it around.

Another thing you can do is to hold the CTRL key and press the letter P.  It still works.

I hope this helps.  Good luck.

Do a system restore. Take the date when you do NOT have such a problem as your restore point.

Start button > Search box, type System Restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, until the click > next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.

  • Cannot open programs from the internet, like Yahoo, icons on the screen or a task bar.

Since IE8 download, programs online, such as Yahoo, won't open with a single or a double click.  I have to type prog address area address each time.  I've deleted and reinstalled affected shortcuts without success.  I understand the msg each time: "this file has no program associated with it. Create an association in the Folder Options Control Panel"but it does not work as there is no selection for this in the Control Panel folder Options, which I find in

    "Control Panel".

    -' Folder options '.

Computerized programs, such as Word and EXEL normally open with a single click in the task bar.

    All was well with IE7.

    Your help please

Go to http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and highlight the HtM and HtML options and click on each one in turn and follow these procedures to set the default values for Internet Explorer.  If all goes well, this will solve most, if not all, of the problem.

  • No the Windows 7 TASK bar.

After the execution of Windows 7 for 6 months, decided I wanted my taskbar on the right instead of the left, but when I did drag the taskbar to the left side to the right side of the screen, the taskbar disappeared. I tried to re-start (by pressing the power button on the PC). And the taskbar are still missing.

I tried a right mouse... Customize... and selected of taskbar and MENU START to move the taskbar to the left side, but the taskbar is missing.  Also now when I do a right mouse on the desktop... then select Customize..., then select START MENU and TASK bar... the task bar dialog box does not appear.

To sum up... I don't have to enter this mess was to drag the taskbar to the left to the right of the screen and the taskbar disappeared.

    Hello

Have you ever had several monitors installed on this computer? Looks like the task bar may have been moved to a monitor that is no longer connected.

Right-click empty spot on the desktop, and then select the Screen Resolution.

If you see multiple display options, select the drop-down menu and click the option show desktop only on 1 . Click Apply/OK.

    Let us know the results.

Thank you for using Windows 7
