No the Windows 7 TASK bar.

After the execution of Windows 7 for 6 months, decided I wanted my taskbar on the right instead of the left, but when I did drag the taskbar to the left side to the right side of the screen, the taskbar disappeared. I tried to re-start (by pressing the power button on the PC). And the taskbar are still missing.

I tried a right mouse... Customize... and selected of taskbar and MENU START to move the taskbar to the left side, but the taskbar is missing.  Also now when I do a right mouse on the desktop... then select Customize..., then select START MENU and TASK bar... the task bar dialog box does not appear.

To sum up... I don't have to enter this mess was to drag the taskbar to the left to the right of the screen and the taskbar disappeared.

Hello

Have you ever had several monitors installed on this computer? Looks like the task bar may have been moved to a monitor that is no longer connected.

Right-click empty spot on the desktop, and then select the Screen Resolution.

If you see multiple display options, select the drop-down menu and click the option show desktop only on 1 . Click Apply/OK.

Let us know the results.

Thank you for using Windows 7

  • Features of the Windows 7 task bar stopped working

I recently discovered that icon from taskbar in Win 7 features such as the display of the progress of the color or display media controls of the player (play, pause) that support it. It seems that the applications cannot make calls to the features of windows 7 taskbar because it is a global problem, and not just with a single application. For example: Media Player Classic Media and controls the progress of copy/move Spotfiy and TeraCopy coloring as a background of the icon. I use the default Aero theme.

    Anyway I can fix this?

In case you don't know when this problem started, you might want to try a System Restore ...

  • Windows 7 task bar icons stopped normal mouseover of the functions.

Usually, when you mouse over or hover over the 'show desktop' without clicking, you should see the office with a visible transparent window frames. It has stopped working. Usually when you hover over the icon of internet explorer in the taskbar, you can see thumbnail pages of everything you have open. Now it produces a list of these pages display. I tried to look at the taskbar settings, but do not see how I could change these functions.

  • Windows Excel task bar

Is there a way to separate many Excel Windows in the taskbar? I can already see each Excel windows; However, they always seem to be "fixed" in the taskbar. If I try to move one of the reduced Excel (or Word) in the bar of tasks, all windows to move them.

For example, I want an Excel document to the first window in my bar of tasks, then on my Outlook and then a Google Chrome window and then another window of Excel. However, I can't do it. Excel windows (although they are not combined) are still attached and move with another. Is there a way to completely separate windows to Excel?

I have Excel 2013, Windows 7 Enterprise Edition and a HP laptop.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Lesci,

Thanks for posting your concern on how to separate many Excel Windows in the taskbar.

The MDI (Multiple Document Interface) that relates to the display of all windows in the taskbar function has been completely removed. It has been deleted because of the low functionality.

But you can also refer to this workaround, just put always combine, hide labels in the taskbar settings, then the documents will display an icon in the taskbar. Click right icon it will show an option close all windows. Or follow these steps:

    1. Right-click on the taskbar.
    2. Select Properties.
    3. Select the tab taskbar.
    4. Click the drop-down menu to select always combine, hide labels.
    5. Click on the apply button.
    6. Then, click on the OK button.

Let us know if you need more assistance.

    Best regards

  • Windows Explorer task bar

In all versions of Windows, I had and I think, even up until recently with Windows 7 when in Windows Explorer, the task bar at the top is what I call the traditional form. The choices are File, Edit, View, etc. Now I have choices as to organize, share, burn and new folder. I wish to retrieve the older view, but can't seem to find where it is.

You refer to the "menu bar".

In Windows Explorer, click organize , and then move your cursor over layout in the drop-down list that appears and click on the menu bar.  Now, the menu bar will be visible all the time.

The equivalent value in IE is made by pressing the Alt key, and then clicking the View menu entry in the Menu bar that appears temporarily.  Place your cursor on the point to toolbars , and then click menu bar which make visible all the time.

  • The defect problem/task bar

I was an IT Help Desk for many years and know my way around a computer, generally speaking. I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite running Vista.

W Hat has happened, is that my taskbar is bigger that we shouldn't. Normally the task bars are fixed at about 1/4 inch in height, but mine is a good half inch. I can do more great by dragging the double arrow, but this method does not work to do if the shorter.  When I select "auto hide", it will disappear, but he returned to the screen in a minute or two. I then have to click again Autohide taskbar because it won't hide automatically. I ran the system through antivirus programs, etc. and they are unable to find problems with regard to the task bar-.

Please help because it's maddening positively. I'm afraid I can inadvertently channelling the infamous Mr. Hyde if this continues.

Try right click on the taskbar, pointing to "Toolbars" and then removing all the.  After all is removed, try to resize and see if she reacts appropriately today. If so, you can add then to return the toolbars you had.

  • Volume control icon has disappeared from the quick launch task bar.

How can I add volume control to my quick launch task bar? I tried dragging the icon to the taskbar, which did not work.

    Hello Hassan.

Thank you for using the Microsoft answers Forum

Start by making a right click on the taskbar, and then select Properties. Select the tab, Notification area and choose Volume under the icons in the system. That should put back your icon on the status bar at the bottom right of your screen. If she does not please repost here and let us know.

    I hope this helps!

  • I don't have the desktop icons, task bar or the start menu. All I have is my wallpaper.

I think I'm done inadvertently the Explorer.exe process when trying to figure out which bogged down my laptop. I have now no start menu, no desktop icons, no task bar... nothing! The paper just painted. When I right click on the wallpaper I get nothing. I have no idea how to get that back. If I had not left my email up, I wouldn't even be able to access the internet!

    Hello.

You should be able to press Ctrl + SHIFT + ESC to open the Task Manager.
From there, click on file > new task (run...), then type "explorer.exe" in the dialog box and click on enter.
Of course, should explore back upward during restart as well.

  • Is it possible to delete the shortcut to a user profile in the drop-down menu in the Windows Explorer address bar?

    We have a significant machines Windows 7 deployment, all managed by group policies.  All users have their Documents redirected to a file server as well as their other main libraries i.e. music, videos, photos, downloads, Favorites etc. - Despite this users continually save files in their roaming profile.  What I would do is, delete the shortcut to a profile of the users of the windows address bar to try and dissuade users from recording in their profile - please see the image below;

I can't find the Group Policy settings to remove this link?

  • Free disk space in the Windows Explorer status bar.

In Windows 7, I wonder how to display disk space is free in the Windows Explorer. In XP, you could see how much space was free down in the status bar. He would say how objects and disk space that was free. How can I activate this in Windows 7?

Return to the root that particular drive is annoying, when I should be able to see how much free space I have for any folder.

    Thank you.

These 2 features have been removed from the latest version of windows and really help to speed up the use of every day:

Display the amount of free space
Display of the total size of the files in folders.

How this two features can be added to the status bar?

  • Acrobat reader Adobe reader and DC won't allow me to move the cursor to the spirit of file/Edit/view/window/Help task bar

I used to have Acrobat reader on my computer, but since I installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 I noticed a problem. When I open a document, I can't move the cursor above the taskbar. It goes back to the page and closes the taskbar, and then it seems that I have one page on the other. I then uninstalled Acrobet drive and installed Acrobat reader DC, but this does exactly the same thing. I then reduce to a minimum the page by clicking on the icon at the bottom of the screen and then click on it again it maximize. I then move the slider on the outside of the page next to the 'file close X' and then quickly bring to X and click on.

This phenomenon, I noticed only noticed after installing Kaspersky (as previously mentioned). Is there a possible solution, otherwise I can't use Adobe!

    Thank you.

Update the Kaspersky version 15.0.1.415 software.

  • What happened to the window menu (title bar, left corner)?

There has been an icon of the menu window on the title bar of windows applications. I've just updated to Firefox 29,0 and you have removed all. I want it back (not to talk about the status of the old-school bar; and Yes, I have 4-status-evar and Firefox 29,0 messed a now too).

The title bar is disabled by default. Open customize in the Panel Menu and click on the title bar to switch it on.
