• EPMA 11.1.2.1 dimension build from FlatFile to EPMA to EssbaseASO using ODI, Member, sort order issues

  We build our EssbaseASO cube using FlatFiles this work who are pushed to EPMA via the interface tables, EPMA Essbase app then is deployed to Essbase, everything is done through an ODI/package interface. The problem I am facing is the order in which members in EPMA appear, even if the FlatFile has the right, sort, at the time where that hierarchies are in the table of interface EPMA that the sort order is changed at random.

  I use the file SQL control add IKM in ODI and somewhere on the way I saw a suggestion to add a new option to insert "ORDER BY" in the IKM. I did it successfully and it has changed the sort order, but is not the correct order (the order in which my flatfile has the dimensions).

  I do not understand why Oracle/ODI needs to randomize the lines without being invited to do! Please let me know if anyone has faced this problem before, and if they have managed to solve.

  EPMA interface tables have a SORTORDER column. Make sure that it is filled with numerical values, sequencing of the order that you want your members to appear in the hierarchies of EPMA and when you import tables interface that this order will be respected. Prior to this function being introduction workaround was to create a view that references the tables interface imposing the required ORDER BY clause, but this is not necessary in 11.1.2.1 just use the SORTORDER column

  In the stages of selection, start with all members, in step 2, click new-> step-> 'Select members based on a hierarchy' in the pop up Action select "keep only members of the"-> select all levels except Total. This will display the report with all the children of total

  I want to apply a level based on different conditional format of hierarchy and I choose all members hard... not a "child of".

  Criteria Possible.In tab, click on + icon to display all levels. If you want to apply to level 2-> click conditional formatting on the properties of hierarchical level level 2-> conditional formatting-> add condition-> select your hierarchy column-> in the filter, click Search-> "on the level" drop-down select "level 2" and click Search-> This will display all the members at level 2-> members move the pane on the right-> OK and get in shape. ".

• Business rule running for the single member of the entity Dimension

  Hi all

  I'm developing an application of classical planning using Hyperoin 11.1.2.2

  I came across a scenario where a specific business rule is executed when the data are recorded on a specific data form. (IE run save the data form item)

  Currently, this rule executes all Member of the entity Dimension.

  Is it possible that this rule is run only for one member of the entity (that is currently selected in the Section Page of this form of data)

  Please note: I don't want to use run the guests of time i.e. I don't want my user to explicitly specify which Member of the entity in the RPT. In our its obvious business logic this business rule is only required to run for the member selected in the entity Dimension

  You must create a Variable of RTP of the type member, when you associate this rule save this form of data, select the option use members on forms of data and hide guests in this way you don't get the window prompt and BR will perform for a specific entity.

  I have a pool of questions, divided into groups of different subjects, - they are used in telephone interviews. The interviewer selects only the questions he or she wants to ask before the interview takes place and hiding the rest (in general, about half of the pool of questions will be used). During the interview, the interviewer recording his thoughts in a multi-line below each question text box and then as soon as completed prints or saves the PDF file.

  I did what I mentioned above in the form of a crude Web page here at work, using a javascript show/hide to manage the masking and the display of the questions to ask. The problem is, it is not very easy to use and don't hold up well when printing. My manager says it's too ask the interviewer to go to their browser settings to activate during the printing background colors.

  Enter LiveCycle. After watching and playing with it for a week, I wonder if I can use it to build something better? I realized the masking with nested subforms and adjustment of the flow rate accordingly, but I would appreciate really any input regarding: (A) LiveCycle is a good choice for what I'm doing? and (B) is an easier, more elegant method to add/remove questions from the "pool"? I always try to get through what LiveCycle can do. For reference: here is a screenshot of my web version (I would like a link to it, but it's on my company's intranet).

  Have you tried of repeating subforms? You could start the form with an xml file, and then allow the interviewer to delete unwanted questions. Look at this article:

• Essbase dimension build shared members

  I will have questions and he drives me crazy!

  I'm building a dimension using parent child references. The first generation of dimension puts members stored in place. The second generation implements the shared members. I am not getting any errors and still 'shared' members are not being built with shared member label. Documentation, I was under the impression that essbase should realize that they are shared and mark them accordingly during the generation of dimension?

  I can go through and manually set the shared in EA after than the build... but it kind of defeats the object.

  I feel I missed something just really hehe. Any help would be appreciated.

  The only time where the outline you would save with members not be labeled as hared, is that if you have names of members in double lit in the sketch, otherwise you will get errors.  One thing you can check in the generation of dimension properties is that you do shared members is more verified and allow moves is not checked

• Change the type of dimension 'Countries' in another dimension

  Well, we have imported our once dimensions using LCM, cause he had to reduce the number of dimensions in the new application/cube.

  Further along the road, we have realized that the dimension labeled as country was hurt, and then we could not import the hierarchies of the planning unit.

  The question is how we can change the dimension marked as country planning. Is this possible in the relational database? Grateful for your help!

  ... in the relational database... technically possible, but I wouldn't take that risk. If anything else on the road (next years) goes wrong, you always wonder if it's because of doing things in the relational database.

  I create a new application and specify the correct size as entity (country). Can I export dimensions and modify the export files to meet the requirements. The country out of new dimension and give it the properties it takes taking the export of the current dimension and remove properties, that should no longer have.

  Then import all and see how it goes.

  Technically, you can leave the name of the dimension they are. This will help you with the other objects that you created.

  You can only add members with the name or alias from another dimension, even if the names of the members in double is enabled. I do not recommend this. This problem often arises because you have the same name in several dimensions. Like other having to product and customer and division. We generally get around it by prefixing or suffixing the names in a dimension with something like prod others, cust-other, div-others. Pourriez you either prefix the entire generation by using the prefix option in the rule of load or for some names of members by using the option to replace the rule of lod

  Well, the XML contains hierarchical data, and SQL is a "dish" of data, so it's up to you to treat lines that are coming out of the flat style and determine how to get that in separate tables.

  Using the 'ordinalite' gives us the line number for this node in the XML file, so that you can identify each parent as well as to say who is the first record of this parent (because it will have a child with the ordinalite 1).

• Not able to see the new Member shared alternative hierarchy on Smart view

  Hello

  I had to make changes on the replacement as a hierarchy below:

  1 created shared member on the new roll upward with Member Shared Property (replacing Hierarchy).

  2 removed the former member under the other roll upward.

  3 refreshed the Hyperion, planning of database.

  4 could see the new Member roll up on the alternative hierarchy after refresh.

  Now, when I try to extract data from the new hierarchy of alternative, I'm not able to get the data that I get the error message like "Invalid Grid - size XXXX member is located at the wrong location".

  I choose the option 'selection of members' members, but the grid is not valid when I try to extract data on smartview.

  Have I missed any step to make changes on the planning? I checked from myside to display the shared member on Essbase after updating of the planning application.

  Can you please help me in fixing the issue?

  Tried to build the new sheet, and I was able to run successfully. Members have been placed wrongly and could fix it.

• Duplicate the quiz

  Hey all the... back like a bad penny.

  Had a good idea the other day on how best to manage multiple choice of language, and given that projects that it will use are rather small, I thought simply duplicate slides and group them by language. So I would have a master slide will be the choice of the language and then the user would be taken at the beginning of the selected section. Using a custom navigation, it works very well. The problem is that I would need to have quizzes in double but still only collect 01:20.

  If I duplicate the quiz, the system counts as questions and such, I only receive one page summary of responses and the news of success/failure.

  I know this is probably a silly question, but how do I go to have two versions of each quiz in the same project, but is always the system only search a set of responses to meet the requirements of pass/fail?

  I hope that I ask this correctly.

  I am tired of what you wanted and it worked for me Cap 8.

  I configured the branch of knowledge. Edit > settings > Quiz > settings > select branch up-to-date.

  Questions have T/F class quiz - Quiz questions > Question > True / False.

  Slide 1 - Select the language (the buttons smart shape - Lang 1 defined button to Continue, Lang 2 button jumps to slide 6)

  Slide 2 - language home page 1

  Slide 3-5-language 1 T1 to T3 (Q3 set to access the slide 10 - the results page)

  Slide 6 - language home page 2

  Slide 7-9-language 2 Q1 to Q3 (Q3 to proceed - to the results page)

  Slide 10 - results

  When you add the first question the results page is also displayed.

  Then you add the rest of the issues by ensuring that the action after the last question in each branch or step points to the result slide.

  Hi team,

  I create a rules file construction of dimension EMP 11.1.2.2 and when I validate the rules file, I get the following error for Field1 and Field2. Here are the highlights

  Overview: PFI_ANA (Alias Active Table: default)

  I installed on the field 1 as a Parent and 2 on the ground as a child. Also in load rule options settings under Dimension > Dimension Build Settings tab even though I select the size that I am building 'System' but his do not have preserved and its still displays 'accounts' size.

  You basically have the right idea.... Select 'System' (by double clicking), then check "use parent/child References.  Then click on 'OK '.  It does not matter that the default view in another dimension when you open it again - a single rule can remember the parameters of the multiple dimensions, and if you re - select 'System' you should see "Using parent/child references" still checked.

  If you can't literally select 'System' (i.e. the selected dimension never changes) then it seems that EE is wrong and I suspect a Java compatibility issue whenever it happens.

• Rule RTP company fills only the first member of the form

  I have a form where the accounts are in lines and measures in columns.

  I have created a business with the {FormAccounts} Variable rule (TYPE: members ... is not a member). Variable is used in the declaration of FIX, so that the calculation applies only to members of the selected account.

  When I select several accounts (online) and BR (via right click Menu) on the appeal form, the guest opens and only the first member of the selection is filled in the variable. When I run the BR, the calculation is applied to this member (which is OK)

  However, I can select several members by clicking the Member Selector and add more members to the variable. The calculation is properly invoked for these members.

  So my question is, why my variable get filled with selected members (I tried selecting names of members [who selects all lines], cells). The variable is RTP, because I wanted to see which members are getting selected, otherwise it may be hidden.

  
  

  Somehow the BR integrated: setting-> adjust the data is used when several data cells (members) are selected. Basically, I want my BR to be populated with selected members of the form adjust data works the same way.

  Is this a bug or planning simply cannot fill custom variable br with several selected members of the form.

  I don't make any sense?

  I think that this is how it works. I tried with a variable whose type is members.

  It is not showing me a prompt when I select several lines. However only works for the first row. (even if the menu is started from the second row).

  Multiple lines selected, variable of type members. only works for the first line of the selection. (in 11.1.2.2) You can try to connect an SR and see what Oracle has to say.
