Durability.SyncPolicy.NO_SYNC, checkpointer and other stuff

We plan to use Durability.SyncPolicy.NO_SYNC for our environment database (protected transaction). While we are looking for the best possible write performance, we always have as much longevity it is possible here. The javadoc for SyncPolicy.NO_SYNC says:

I would like to know how I can understand the actual values for my application? I think the main things are:

1 how many log updates can fit into the log buffer? I don't have to find the explanation of the size of log buffers and how to estimate the size of the update to a transaction. Is that what the nodes data sheet or the internal nodes as well?

2. How often the log is controlled? GSG - Txn says:

I wander what it would mean in my case?

The case that I don't follow. We have a number of DPL entity objects that are often accessible and updated day. That is the creation of a new object happens rather rare compared to the reading/updating of existing objects. I guess for most of the time, all the affected objects would fit into the cache I and there would be no overflow cache for a long time (if I understand correctly that the update of the entity that is already in the cache does not affect the size of the cache).

Does this mean that the checkpointer would not go for a time as there is nothing out of the cache? And does that mean that I would really lose a lot of data in the case of failure because there is no flushes/checkpoints?
What I run on some available times manually-set control points to achieve sustainability?
Or part "how updates log can fit into the log buffer" means that each update of the entity is added to connect the buffer, the log buffer would finally done the disk and it would fire a control point when the je.checkpointer.bytesInterval is reached?

Make the long story short: how to achieve a reasonable longevity with the Durability.SyncPolicy.NO_SYNC and how to measure the amount of data at risk?

(And writing code to make each transaction n-th issue commitSync() instead of commit() appears to be a clumsy solution..)

I'm afraid that the approach that you have updated here is the one you should use. Do not rely on the control points for the durability of transactions - are not intended for this.

If you use sustainability NO_SYNC, then you say to the EJ 'I hate it when the transaction becomes sustainable. To make a sustainable trade, which makes also all sustainable past transactions, you must commit a SYNCHRONIZATION or WRITE_NO_SYNC operation.

The easiest way to do this is to call Transaction.commit (Durability) (with SYNC or WRITE_NO_SYNC) each transaction N, where N is the maximum number of transactions, you can afford to lose in the event of collision.

Trying to use the control points and to calculate the amount of damage depending on the size of the buffer log is not something that we can support, and is not something that everyone does with I, I know.

    I was wondering if there are any fay to synchronize bookmarks m, notes and other stuff acros my devices in imported books iBooks! (ePub)

    It would mean so much to have this featur. I see that the books syncronize on iCloud in the new iOS 9.3, but what about notes?

    On my devices, iBooks is made salient and remarks on the ePub files synchronization. However it does that when I restart both devices.

    I really like the app and was happy to hear that I could sync between devices via iCloud downloaded items. However, at this time, I can't afford to jump through hoops to get my sync annotations. I must be able to retrieve any device and have it ready on the go.

    If this problem is not resolved, I'll have to give up the iBooks app once again in favor of something that works...

    You may need to use two separate sync accounts, if this is not possible with a single account.
    As you cannot use both accounts at the same time on a device, you will need to disconnect the computer which is the main device and (temporarily) connect to another account only synchronize to the other account to sync bookmarks.
