  LabWindows/CVI does not compile when I try to use VISA:

  This error means that the revision of the generated .dll does not match the version major and minor, defined in the header. This should not be a conern if you won't release the pilot to customers and that you take care of revision.

• Utility GUI localization CVI crashes when loading of the uir

  I am trying to add multiple languages to my project, using the location of the CVI GUI utility in LabWindows 2010.

  However when I try to load my file IUR in the utility, it crashes (as killed at Windows). The IUR was initially created using LabWindows 6 or earlier, however, it was brought and working in LabWindows 2010 for more than a year.

  Each time, it crashes and I can't continue my work. Is there anything I can try to make it work?

  Hi Chris,

  Take a look at the .uir that has been published, it seems that the error is the result of the check. If you remove the two elements that are in the tree control (so that nothing is in the tree control), save and then try to load the .uir in the UI localizer, it seems that the .uir can be recharged on the Locator of UI without error. Alternatively, if you let the elements but change control of chain type (char *) int, it seems to load without causing an error as well. I'll check to see if there is a known issue, but I hope that one of the two workarounds can be used for your application.

• Cannot compile the project in CVI 2009 which were previously opened in CVI 2010

  This was extremely irrititating and does not know what the devil.  I have a computer with CVI 2010 and separated with CVI 2009.

  I have a project and the CWS, which was established in 2009.

  I opened and recompiled in CVI 2010 things since then, ensuring that I saved my .uir file in a CVI 2009 version or earlier.

  I usually open the file .prj or .cws on my computer of CVI 2009, but trying to compile and run in debug mode, all of the CVI crashes.  How can I recompile and work with it on my computer of CVI 2009?

  Am I missing something here?  Tehre are no error, warnings or reports of incidents, CVI righteous acts as I hit Alt + F4

  I discovered a problem with CVI 6.0 that has been driving me crazy for days

  Hello Vix,

  There was a bug in 6.0 CVI which caused a memory corruption error when. UIRs containing images with certain characteristics were loaded (in the user interface, or through LoadPanel editor). It is difficult to describe what were these characteristics, given that the problem occurred in the image compression algorithm, and so it depends on the color of the image data.

  In your case, you don't have one of these problem images. It is in the 012_SetupGlobals.uir. It is not the image of 'Home', nor the image of great background. This is another image that is used in the 20 smaller buttons. If you remove or replace the image, the problem won't happen again.

  Unfortunately, if the image has been saved with CVI 6.0, even new versions of RTÉ (for example the 8.0.1 you tried) will also have a problem loading it.

  If you really need to use this image, a possible solution would be to save the. IUR in a later version of the CVI, where the problem no longer existed. But if you do this you will no longer be able to load in CVI 6.0, or with version 6.0 of the RTE. Can back up only recent versions of the CVI. UIR versions compatible with CVI 7.1 or later version. This means that you must distribute the RTE 7.0 or later version with your application.

  I suggest you repair your installation of the CVI run time engine.

  I you also suggest to uninstall the runtime, install the CVI 9 and then try to install 6 CVI - do you need the older runtime for other applications? * Otherwise just uninstall.

  I just installed CVI DURATION 6 then 9 RunTime CVI (excerpt from ni.com site) without problem. But it was a clean machine.

  I managed to reproduce the bug, and identify the cause of this deadlock. It seems that the ADE 2015 LabWindows/CVI crashes trying to generate the call to GetProcAddress navigation information. The main problem is the building containing the function pointer cast.

  Fortunately, there's a simple solution to this problem: use typedef wrappers during the conversion of the results of the function call for function pointers. In your case:

  typedef BOOL (__stdcall * FunctionType)(BOOL on);

  public static int LoadDLLIfNeeded (void)

  {

  F_Ptr = (FunctionType) GetProcAddress (DLLHandle, 'F');

  This work around not only prevents hanging CVI, but also guarantees a good practice for writing cleaner and easier to maintain code.

  Meanwhile, CAR #543277 has been filed, to ensure that this bug will be considered for fixing in a next version of LabWindows/CVI.

  The link to the tutorial you posted is based on LabVIEW Communications System Design Suite, a new software environment designed to accelerate the prototyping of the algorithm and stable air.  It is a completely separate and independent of LabVIEW environment.  See my post here for more details.  You can also download a free 30 day trial copy here.  Your hardware is supported with LabVIEW and LabVIEW Communications.

  The 2932 NOR is a network based USRP, and there a small on-board FPGA.  For this reason, the FPGA on that specific product is not a target of LabVIEW FPGA.  The NI 294 x / 5 x family has a large Kintex 7 FPGA and can be programmed using LabVIEW FPGA and LabVIEW Communications, as in the tutorial you posted.  The 2932 OR can be used with your host PC and LabVIEW for a variety of applications.  Unfortunately the tutorial that you have linked to your post requires the NI 294 x / 5 x hardware and Communications of LabVIEW.  If you have questions about a specific application for your 2932, please post more details and we would be happy to help you.

  I just ruined my last book when CVI crashed. I have reproduced this behaviour twice.

  Here's how:

  (1) in the user interface editor, create a new ring of built-in menu (I'm not investigating other ring controls)

  (2) open it to change the attributes of the ring

  (3) open the Edit value/label pairs

  (4) do not enter anything, simply press OK

  (5) press OK to leave the Panel change Ring

  (6) throw control

  You will find that the CVI disappears (not save unsaved files).

  I have not studied whether changes in this procedure would also result in a crash.

  I was able to reproduce the issue and filed a bug with ID 285633 report.  As a solution, you should be able to programmatically set the name of long Panel instead of setting, it is so long in the user interface editor.
