During the installation of MSXML 4.0 SP3 for age of mythology, I get "an error has occurred in the installation of assembly component"

When I was younger, and I wanted to play again for some reason, I've played the game age of Mythology. I spent some time making the installer to make it work, then I tried to play the game. As the intro to fantasy has been done and the main menu was about to appear... The game crashed and he said I need MSXML 4.0. After spending 2 hours to do the work of the installer, I was a little upset that I had to fix something else. I downloaded the MSXML 4.0 SP3 because he said it was a compatible with windows 7. I ran the installer and it gave me an error like this:

"An error occurred during the installation of assembly component"

{74974F83-779E-3983-A06B-D6B9ABF34537}

HRESULT: 0 X 80070003

I tried for about 4 hours on forums like this, but nothing has worked. I looked around my computer and I can't find anything on MSXML. One thing that I suspect me, is that I got my computer wiped out about 6 months ago. I don't know this only erased. I have a Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium.

I spent so much time for a game that has been a joy to play, you can help me find a solution.

    • I tried to move my catalog and PE6 install to a new computer.  This is on a Dell Windows XP machine, and I moved it to a Toshiba Windows 7 (64-bit) machine.  I always kept my photo on an external hard drive files.  My library is 50 GB, 10,000 files.  Here's what I did.
      • Copied the original PE6 installation file on the Toshiba.  Installed but not activate it.
      • Copied my catalog folder to the location of the Windows 7.
      • Plug the external drive into the Toshiba.  So makes that same letter drive as a front.
      • Fired up to PE6 on Toshiba.  Seemed fine in the Organizer.  Everything seemed to be there, but I didn't try to make any changes at this time there.
      • PE6 disabled on the Dell.  Enabled on the Toshiba.

    • Then I realized that it is not fair.  I can edit the keywords and the stars rating on photos, but not the dates, legends or notes.  I get "an error has occurred during playback of files or write files to a disk." The drive is may be full, or there may be problems with the source media. »
    • Only a fraction of the external drive is in use.
    • I can access the files on the external hard drive with another application (Windows Photo Viewer).
    • I tried the reconnect All missing files.  Somewhat ambiguous, she said "There are no files to reconnect."
    • In the properties in the organizer for each photo are the appropriate file names and paths.  Folder view works fine in the Organizer.
    • I can put new files in the directories of the same external drive, import them into PE6, then change them normally.

What is the best way to get Organizer connected correctly to my files?  I guess I could import all photos on the new machine, but I guess I'd lose some of my metadata.  So it's out of the question.

    Thank you

Well, the recommended method for moving the catalog is to use organizer of the PSE6 on your old computer to do a full backup on your DHM.  (Which backs up the catalog and media files).  Then, on your new computer, open the Organizer PSE6 and restore from this backup.

    Your method seems logical, but...

    Hi Surfa,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community Forums.  Be assured that we will do our best to answer the question.

According to the description, you can not enable LPD printing service in Windows 7.

Please follow the steps to solve the problem with LPD printing service:

Method 1: SFC Run scan into the computer

Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows system files

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 2: Enable the LPD service:

    1. Select Start, Panel of.
    2. Select "Programs" in the Control Panel window.
    3. Select "Activate Windows features turn on or off" in the Group of programs and features.
    4. The user account control system will be asked permission to continue. Click on the "Continue" button.
    5. Displays the Windows features window .
    6. Expand the item "Print Services" .
    7. Place a check next to 'LPD print Service' and click the 'OK' button. Windows Vista will install and enable the LPD services for you

Method 3: Temporarily disable the security software and firewall settings and check if the Internet connection drops.

    Disable the anti-virus software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

    Enable or disable Windows Firewall

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Hello

Step 1: If you are not able to do step 2 (manually remove and reinstall .NET Framework), then

    i. browse to C:\windows\winsxs\ x64_microsoft.vc80.atl_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
II. right-click to rename it to x64_microsoft.vc80.atl_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.old
III. then follow the step in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923100
IV. once the .net framework is re-installed.
    v. run the fix for Office 2010 to uninstall all traces of Office 2010 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
    VI. then try to install.

  • Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component: try to install CorelDraw X 5

Win 7 64, Sony Vaio. I have installed Net 4 (previous issues have been reported with 2 Net on a BONE earlier).

Product: Try to install the Suite CorelDraw X 5.

I uninstalled my AntiVirus software, rebooted, defraged, ran a registry repair, ran as administrator. Tried to use two files from different sites. Searched the Web for clues, including Corel Forums.

Anyone has an idea on the problem?

Andrew, thanks for your response. I tried all that. What happened... I was looking for solutions, I started having problems with my FireFox browser, then my IE browser. Then I noticed other problems of stability. Not sure what caused it, but I decided to just go ahead and restore my Win 7 in original factory condition and X 5 installed without a hitch. NET 4 doesn't load until after installation, so I don't know if it's causing problems, or if it was just my whole system. I think that a program back - up my data online in real time could be the cause of stability issues. In any case, five hours later, I got this job, and I don't think it was a problem of Corel.

Once again, thank you. Offer good advice!

  • ERROR: An error occurred during the installation of assembly component / ERROR: load capacity of third-party installer Adobe_Lightroom_x64.msi failed with exit code: 1603

During the Installation of LR, I get an error message. Initially, I didn't have enough space for the installation on the boot partition drive. However, now, it should be enough and I rebooted the computer, a couple of times, so I guess that the temporary installation files have been deleted.

Now, however every time I try to reinstall the software I get the following messages:
