  Hi, I have a laptop HP dv6 3131tx (64-bit). I just recentley upgraded to Windows 8 since my laptop is supposed to be compatible to the HP Web site.

  Because of this problem, I can not connect my laptop to do anything with my HDMI cable, I can't use software such as AutoCAD (software engineering), I can not play almost any game that required the decent graphics and my laptop runs out real costs quickly becausei can't change my graphics mode.

  I also tried with the driver of windows 7 in compatibility mode, but even that is no problem.

  I have HP Pavilion DV6 3122TX and recently I was updating my drivers and software from the HP Web site for my laptop. Everything was done smoothly. As I updated my BIOS, I noticed that I was not able to switch between ATI Radeon 5650 and Intel HD Graphics, then I was also shocked that he wasn't showing a charger plugged into icon too. Although the battery was charging but didn't show any icon for it. I am running Windows 7. After a few days, my battery was went wrong and was not in charge. I bought the new battery from HP Store for my laptop, and then after a few days now he is dying too. My computer laptop suddenly stops on about 30% of battery remaining and battery does not charge. So, out of curiosity, I installed Linux RedHat 6 on windows 7 and everything was OK. But I am a graphic designer for Linux is not a good choice for me. I want to just restore my BIOS in its original version of the default BIOS. Please kindly help me to get my original BIOS. I tried everything on my hand. I also ask HP to the original versions of the drivers like BIOS on its Internet site. My laptop is dying. Please, Experts, I need your kind assisstence. Thanks in advance

  The thing is that I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L20-181, with an ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M graphics card, which, on the toshiba site is specified to support up to 128 MB.   The L30 is a bit old and it seems that the drivers Win 7 will come out for this series more

  Improved my p6267c HDMI (with factory-installed ATI Radeon HD 4350 graphics card) to Win 7 winning 10 and lost some display resolution.  Had to move to resolution of 1920 x 1080 (recommended setting for my HP 2509 m monitor) up to 1680 x 1050 to maximize the size of the rear screen, to what she was using Win 7.  Now the screen's size, but the text is a bit fuzzy and just not as strong as before.  I've updated the driver to the most recent available for this old 2009 ATI card: 8.970.100.9001 which is the latest ATI and Microsoft for this card running Windows 10.  I tried the support hp and google for a replacement graphics card that will work in this office with its 300 Watt power supply.  I will modernize the card and power if necessary to refine the text I get now.   I'm not a gamer, so did not need graphics high power.  I can't believe there is not an answer out there for someone who has experienced the same problem.  Although I love Windows 10, I even considered back to Win 7.

  PROBLEM SOLVED!   I took your suggestion and actually found a good deal on a different graphics card to replace the ati radeon HD 4350. BestBuy.com, I found a highly rated card that users have reported similar problems of fixed resolution after the 10th Winidows upgrade.  The map was available on sale for $40.99 (Orig 59.99).  It was available in my local store for 43.99, but they it ot me for the price online.  I am now running my monitor of 2509 m hp at 1920 x 1080 resolution recommended and everything's fine.  Here is the link for the nvidia GEOFORCE 610 GT 1024 MB DDR3 (model VCGGT610XPB) card:

  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem, that you are facing is that Microsoft provides only pilots with the most basic features and what you really need for these features in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific material found in laptops - and unfortunately, there is no HP Win10 laptop driver.  HP only guarantees the compatibility of Win10 for machines manufactured after August 2013. HP is not no matter what timetable indicating when, or IF, they will produce drivers for older machines.

  This means that your PC is probably NEVER going to be fully functional under Win10 because the pilots is needs for all features simply do not exist!

  To restore all the features, you will need to do a reset to factory using HP recovery media to its original operating system pre-installed.
