dv9700: upgrade Windows 10 for a laptop Nvidia Geforce 7150/NForce 630 M

I have a HP DV9700 laptop. Initially, it came with Vista and I was able to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate edition with service pack 1. I tried to upgrade to Windows 10 and received the following message: Unfortunately, this PC is unable to run Windows 10. Compatibility problem, Nvidia Geforce 7150/nforce 630 m the display manufacturer did not your view of compatibility with Windows 10. I noticed that he had several messages in the forum of office which gave links to update your Windows 8 display driver and the work around to install Windows 10. Can someone help with the laptop?

I used this article and now my laptop that was said that I can't use Windows 10 now it works. A few bugs, but apart from that, works very well. http://www.PCAdvisor.co.UK/how-to/Windows/how-install-Windows-10-now-upgrade-GWX-3575135/

I know I had this discussion before, but I was hoping someone might have an update or new discovery.

Upgrade Windows 10 stipulates that this computer is not compatible because of the Nvidia display.

I checked to see if HP had an update for this driver and concluded that the recommended solution was to go to Nvidia.

NVIDIA indicates that the manufacturer's laptop should do the update, which makes kind of sense to me.

So, if HP does not want to do the update, it seems to be a catch 22, I probably can't upgrade (for one of the most beautiful laptops never facts) to 10 Windows because there is no compatible video driver.

I look on the forum and the only thing I found was an instance "resolved" from Scott1234, but it was for a 32-bit installation and had a few bugs (see below). The link is on a UK site, so I think that I'm not comfortable to do it for my machine, at least not not yet.

Would appreciate any comment that someone might solve this problem.

    Thank you.

    Re: Windows 10 Upgrade for a laptop Nvidia Geforce 7150/NForc e 630M

SDF15, it has been a while since we talked last.  I found a solution to the Nvidia GeForce 7150/nForce630M pilot questions posted by 'msddjd' can't find GeForce 7150 M/nForce 630 M Driver for Windows 10.  In this post the simple answer is just to reinstall the original Nvidia drivers.

Only a step I found necessary to install Windows 10 via an ISO image because Microsoft has refused to allow the automatic update for this platform (dv2620us).  Once this was accomplished, and all the warnings about display problems have been laid off, I downloaded and installed display drivers Nvidia Vista/Win7 origin for this computer.

It was of course a good solution for the computer laptop dv2620us and msddjd material dealt with.  Not sure this is a solution for everyone, but well worth a try.  I have not found anything in 10 Windows which does not work with this configuration.  So, I consider this a solved problem... Finally! Wohoo!

Just thought that you want to know and thanks again.

  • NVIDIA GeForce 7150 m drivers for Windows 8

    Hello

I upgraded my HP Pavilion dv6000 (6620eb) of Windows 8.

I tried to install the driver for the graphics chip from different sources (official site of hp recovery Vista CD, Windows Update service original 8 & Nvidia official site), but none succeeded.

Mention of Control Panel "graphic driver generic windows" and I am only allowed to use 1024 x 768 resolution.

Is there an official HP or Nvidia driver that works with Windows 8 for this laptop?

    Ty for your answerz :-)

    Hello:

No, it's not a W8 driver that is supported.

You can try this... it works normally.

Download and run the Vista driver to support your laptop and driver page.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-70238-2&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=2100&Product=3629885&sw_lang=

You should get an error indicating in substance that the operating system is not supported.

Close the error window and go to Device Manager. Click the display of the maps section.

Click on the graphics card of Microsoft Basic. Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for software' and navigate to the installation folder that was created when you ran the above driver.  This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp42635.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected, and I hope that the driver will be installed.

Upon restart, you should see your nVidia 7150 m installed.

  • Horrible framerate after Windows Update for NVIDIA GeForce 7150 M

I started getting a horrible frame rate in games after receiving an update for my NVIDIA GeForce 7150 M / nForce 630M graphics card from Windows Update. For example, in World of Warcraft before the update, the pace has been a constant 25 fps, and now he fell up to 2 fps. I tried to do a restore of the system several times, but it keeps saying there is a problem that prevented the restoration of complete successfully. Is there a way to fix this?
My information system is the following:

    HP Pavilion Entertainment PC
    model: dv6812nr
OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
    Version: 6.0.6001 SP1 build 6001
    Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
    Processor: AMD Turion 64 x 2 TL-60, 2 hearts
    Total RAM: 2.87 GB

On a side note, I did a check of the hard drive through the BIOS and it came with an error code (#18000) saying to replace the hard drive. Not sure if it could be linked to the hard drive read/write speeds, but thought I would mention it.

Thanks in advance for the help,

    Tyler

NVIDIA provides drivers for laptop graphics cards.  They leave this task up to the OEM.  If you want to try the new Nvidia drivers, laptopvideo2go.com has a few guides and how to install the most recent drivers on laptops such as yours.  I suggest trying some news to see if those to improve your display rate, that HP may have updated Nvidia drivers listed on their website.

    See you soon,.

I forgot my password for windows 7 for my laptop and a reset disk has not been created. How can I recover the password or create a new one? and I have a dell inspiron one 19 desktop... your help will be very appreciated thanks in advance!

Here are the usual methods to solve this problem:

    • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
    • Logging in as a different admin account and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if create you an alternative admin account).
    • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you have activated the account administrator and know its password).
    • Insert your flash drive USB with the password key file (only works if you have created such a keyfile).
    • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)

If none of these standard precautions work for you, then the remedy will be painful. Post again if this is the case.

It was clear that test the preview Windows 8.1 will not as simple and involve certain prerequisites.

Do not install it on a machine or production start-up disk.

Microsoft Senior Product Marketing Manager Michael Niehaus reiterated this message in the RT in the session of the company Tuesday. When the preview 8.1 is available, Windows 8 and Windows RT users will receive a notification from Windows Update. This update will trigger the new bits will appear in the Windows store, where potential testers will be able to read the description and choose to install or not.

Once the final versions of Windows 8.1 are available, after their release to manufacturing, those who have downloaded the preview will get the same Windows Update and the Windows Store notification. While their data and their accounts will be kept if and when they choose to install version 8.1 free, final, all their applications must be reinstalled, said Niehaus.

Even if the testers are opting instead to restore their Windows 8 devices after you install the bits of the preview, they will still have to reinstall their applications once they move to the RTM of Windows 8.1 version.

Windows 8 users who do not install the preview build and opt instead to go directly from Windows 8/Windows RT for Windows 8.1 will not reinstall their applications. All parameters, data and applications will be postponed, a spokesman said when I asked. Users will be able to decide when and if they want to switch from Windows 8 and Windows RT to the 8.1 versions, officials stressed.

  • NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 code 19 error

    Hello

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit and have encountered a problem with the graphics drive. There is an exclamation mark next to the NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 in the graphics card and the error message is "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) »

It is up to date and there is no driver to restore. I uninstalled it and upon restarting, Windows successfully installed the driver, but the exclamation mark is still there. It has been suggested that I choose option 2 here to search for the drivers and Graphics Driver 280.26 has been found to install, but it made no difference. I don't know if it's important that I tried to uninstall it once before and selected the 'remove the software for the device option', but who do not select the second time.

When I select 'check for solutions' in Device Manager there are two long files that describe the error. I downloaded here and here.

The only problems is originally so far (or at least I suppose is caused by this because it happened at the same time) is that I can't select 1440 x 900 for a resolution of the screen so my screen is off, and I can put my computer in mode 'sleep'. Sleep is grayed out in the options. Any help is very appreciated. Thank you!

So, after two weeks of multiple uninstalls, reinstall, install clean, destruction of registry, driver, using different drivers sweepers, spend time with the customer of NVIDIA and passing by each troubleshoot I could Google, I removed the HP Portrait display 1.4 update and now all is well. That had been installed AFTER that I started having the problem with NVIDIA so I guess it started as a small bug (the driver for my mouse also stopped working at the same time as the graphics card, but that was a simple fix) that the HP update is impossible to fix.

    Thanks for your help, Paul!

  • Wrong version of Windows 7 for my laptop

Hello, I have Windows Ultimate 7 32 bit for my laptop which has Windows Vista Home Premium. It does not download because it says I need 64-bit. What I can do. I bought it some time ago but never improved because I was fine with Vista. But, now, I would like to upgrade. I can do apart from buying the correct version.

If your computer is running a 64-bit version of Vista, then you have two choices:

    • Do a fresh install of Windows 7 32 bit.
    • Find an installation DVD for Windows 7 64 bit.

Note also that the upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate will be possible if you have Vista Ultimate.
