DVD - best Format release?

I'm new on Premier Pro and I have a Canon Vixia HF - R50. My pictures were filmed at 60 p (AVCHD) and I want to the DVD (no-Blue ray) release. What is the best format for this?

Fantastic forum here, btw

Then... There are a few messages in Adobe Articles on export for the best effect, sometimes, those who can be helpful, you will have to verify that I don't have the links.

... Do a search on the export/rendering DVD settings and exit here, as well as check on the forum again (I think it's still there...) because there are a TON of material out there.

We have a client that has led us to edit AVCHD MTS files.  We made a few adjustments (audio, color, brightness) and a few changes of basis for them, but now they intend to send them to another company for the final editing and DVD authoring.  What is the best format I should send them in to prevent the loss of any quality, but keeping the manageable size of the files?

I thought output in M4V h.264 files, but I don't know how easily those editable in other systems, such as Final Cut or Vegas and I do not know what editing software will use this other company.

A MPEG2 file would be better?

    Thank you.

    * The original film is 1920x1080i, 29.97, square pixels at an average of about 9 000 kbit/s.

I suggest you transfer the files on something like a USB key.  I have a WD Elements 500 GB drive which costs about USD$ 50.00.

    Basically disposable.

Better than all that burning files and organize it so that they are on a DVD limit of the file size.

  • What is the best format to select then copy music from a cd to itunes

I copy my cd collection into iTunes. What is the best format that should be selected for the best quality of music? Thank you.

"Better format" and "Better music" (sound quality) are not the same question, for audio encoding.  The best sound comes from a "Lossless" format  The encoding using the Apple Lossless Encoder encoder in iTunes provides without loss of sound quality, compared to the songs on CD (which are in AIFF format).  You can also use the AIFF encoder, but the files of the song will be a little bit bigger compared to Apple Lossless.  However, TWO Apple Lossless AIFF formats and create larger files of the song, so they take more space on your computer drive (several times over).

iTunes Store sells songs in format AAC , compression ratio 256 kbps.  This format may provide the best combination of efficiency (small size) and the sound quality.  There is a minor loss in sound quality due to compression, but I can't tell the difference between lossless and AAC at 256 Kbps, format with my headphones and speakers (and ears).  To use this format when you import your CD, select the AAC Encoder value encoder iTunes more.

NOTE: Import encoding settings run the button import the settings of iTunes preferences General pane.

  • Best format to import an image map

    Hi all

I also create a module of branching.  The main menu image should be clickable, each subject on the image will take the user to another slide.  What is the best format to import this image into Captivate 8?  I tried a .jpg, .gif, .png and .pptx.  The words on the slide will look blurry when I tried these formats. Is there another way to put this image in Captivate, so that I can format each of the topics in the menu to direct the user to the different slides?

    Thank you

    Helena

The idea is to create the image to be exact of the resolution, you will need it to be, unless you are able to create the image as an SVG reagent (Captivate only in 9, excluded since you're still on CP8). Avoid the scaling, don't use scalable output. I would even recommend having different clickable parts as separate images that can be used as fill in a form with exactly the same resolution (pixel size) button.

If you need transparency in the image, the only choice is PNG. GIF supports full transparency as well but is limited to 256 colors. JPEG quality can be very different, you do not say what quality you used. PPTX is not an image format, I do not know why you include it at all.

You talk about 'text', why not insert text in Captivate instead of turning it into an image?

In Adobe Media Encoder, if you look at the available under "H.264" presets, you'll find recipes made specifically for YouTube. Here is a link directly to YouTube reference sheet - https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en&ref_topic=2888648

  • What is the best/best format to convert avchd, for editing?

What is the best format to convert avchd 1920/1080, for editing purposes?

I tried to convert HDV but did not like the quality. I then tried to convert avchd files raw in mpeg2 @ 35 Mbps. It of much cleaner, but makes it slow, about 1-1 ratio.

looking for a codec that is quick to convert & clean.

I have aPC, Win 7, 6 cores, 32 GB ram, Raid 0, fast cuda card ect...

AVCHD has the same as DV data rate, so shuttle that quickly will be not a problem hard drive, even a single disc, and still less a RAID 0 array.  If he stutters, it's one thing to CPU.

Conversion to another format will increase the flow of data significantly, requiring your RAID to redouble their efforts.  However, the CPU will probably work less, so this could solve the stuttering.

You can still add all the elements of a sequence and then add this sequence in the Source monitor for editing as if it were a long clip.

Having said all that, if you still feel the need to convert then I recommend the free and the UT lossless codec.  You can export the clips combined pp right, and new media will not suffer no loss of quality due to the conversion.

  • What is the best format and the size of a logo in a flash project?

I have this flash project in which I animate a logo from big to small, the logo in the great State looks pretty good, but when flash reduced the logo image animation tend to Pixelize (I don't know if this term is correct).

    Thank you

This is what happens when you change the size of an image.

The best format for a logo is the vector.  Then, you can change its size, rotation, etc. without distortion or pixelation.

If you can not go with a vector graphic, try to use several images of different sizes, and switch between them if necessary to recreate the interpolation, or, try a PNG and hope that pixelation is not too bad.

  • Best format to take pictures it is compatible with PE3

I am scannig photos and stuff for a project and you wonder what is the best format to save images as th. This scanner offers several different formats jpeg, bitmap, tiff, to name a few. Many things is old newspaper clippings photo 'quality' is not as important as if it were the last photo of grandmother before she passed away, but some will be old photos.  The scanner offers also a DPI setting should it be set to? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

For this kind of work, I use TIFF depth higher than the scanner and its software, will allow, as well as with the best resolution. It comes to large files, but this is how it is.

Then I take the images in Photoshop and do the necessary work on the ground files high as I can get. I'm doing a Save_As to PSD with all layers and adjustment layers. Once finished, I let fall the bit to 8 bit depth, resize to the size of the video image and Save_As. PSD. TIFF would work too. I am less a fan of JPEG, but others find without problem, and the files are smaller. Here is an ARTICLE on the use of certain automatisms in PS to resize the images for video.

    Good luck with your project,

    Hunt

PS - I forgot to mention the resolution. In the video, it's not bad, my Actions in PS for resizing are set to fall to 72 dpi, but let's start with the most high available, if there are 1200 or 2400. I don't use any interpolation, so the PPP/dpi will be the highest physical resolution (no software) available.
