Dynamic Action run PL/SQL Code runs is not after 4.2.5 upgrade

APEX 4.2.4 to 4.2.5 11.2 database upgrade

I have a button to click on DA who owns shares run of PL/SQL Code and update point who worked in version 4.2.4 which is no longer running after the 4.2.5 patch.

The PL/SQL procedure has been tested autonomous and it runs correctly.

I tested him DA is actually shot on the click event by adding an alert "DA xxxx pulled" action before the execution of work of PL/SQL action and action alert.

There is also a similar on DA click which makes the action opposite to the DA problem and it works both are configured in the same way:

Static DA, run Code PL/SQL - check waiting for result, and not repress with the same Submit and return items.

Any ideas on a possible cause/solution much appreciated

Fixed it, the question was the Page elements of return of goods on the action of PL/SQL Code:

If the target element was empty the action failed, by adding a value in the database through a normal SQL insert then the insert DA completed successfully.

Removing Page elements at the point of return of the action of PL/SQL and together action update the target element after the DA fires in all scenarios.

But thanks for the lead

  • Use Dynamic Actions with pl/sql, calling a javascript alert function

    Hello

    I use Apex 4.0.1.00.03 with IE7.

    The problem I have is:

    I am converting an Oracle Forms application that has a lot of logic in it. In the application forms, it is a pl/sql function, based on a If/else condition call a popup alert box, which displays a warning message. He called pl/sql functions that return raising to the IF statement.

    Example of pl/sql code:

    If check_records() > 0 Then
    message to the alert box
    ElsIf TypeA_record then
    message to the alert box
    On the other
    message to the alert box
    End If;

    I need to replicate this functionality to the Apex 4. I tried to create dynamic Action on a page element, using a pl/sql function, however, when I call the popup javascript, this code not popup an alert box. I need the pl/sql to be run when the element of the page changes, not when the page is sent.

    The code I used to test the pl/sql code, which does not work in dynamic Actions > pl/sql is:

    Begin
    HTP.p ("< script type =" text/javascript"> '");
    HTP.p ("alert ("today runs javascript code!");"
    );
    HTP.p ("< /script >");
    End;

    I need to create a pl/sql function that can do alert areas based on an IF condition.

    Could someone point me in the right direction? Using dynamic shares the best way forward? I need to trigger on a page element, change the value.

    Works fine now.
    In the javascript code, I changed:

    get.addParam ('x 01', $v ('P105_PREP_TYPE'));

    by

    get.addParam ('x 01', $v ('P1_PREP_TYPE'));

    P1_PREP_TYPE is the correct name of the element.
    Now when I choose the OTHER, 1 message.

  • Help with dynamic Action with pl/sql and Javascript

    Hi all
    I'm a little hard with the following and I was wondering if someone can help me.
    My test app is here:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=32581

    workspace: Leppard
    Login: guest
    pw: app_1000

    Tab: DB Link (page 19)
    I have a list of unique selection on the page that queries a table in my diagram.

    This is the flow that works, but not the user experience I want:
    User clicks on the button Create Page 19 > the next page, page 20, appears as a popup window > user enters the name of the link = "MyLink" (or other) and one unit number, i.e. 1234 (or other) > user clicks 'Create using process' button > success message > user closed the window to return to the page 19 > user clicks LOV refresh to refresh the list of selection so that the new value is displayed.

    That's what I'm aiming for: user clicks on the button Create Page 19 > the next page, page 20, appears as a popup window > user enters the name of the link = "MyLink" (or other) and one unit number, i.e. 1234 (or other) > user clicks button "create using the DA ' > dynamic action is called running pl/sql closes the popup window and refreshes the list of selection on page 19.

    I know that I have some problems with my dynamic action. First of all, the pl/sql is not yet recognize the values that I enter the fields in item on page 20. I created a first pl/sql "null;" to force these items in session state, but it does not work for me and the pl/sql just inserts a null value into my table. Secondly, I can't get javascript to fire code to refresh the list of selection on page 19. The code I use in the DA is the same thing as what is behind the button refresh LOV, so I am confident that the code works, I just can't get this fire click the button "create using the DA" on page 20.

    Sorry if this is confusing - I can clarify if necessary, let me know. Thanks in advance. Of course I'm still learning...

    I modified your DA as follows.

    In real Action of DA,.

    1 Seq 10, I added the element page 20 Page points to submit and return Pagenames. You forgot to add items here
    2 Seq 20, I changed your simple code to insert. Simple code just insert
    3 Seq 30, I added the new code to close the window and reload the window open.

    Thank you

  • Setting of an element by using a dynamic action of PL/SQL does not?

    Hello

    I have what is probably the problem of the beginner...

    1 - an element with the default 'http://google.com '.
    2. on a button, I have a dynamic action that defines an element
    3. first action of PL/SQL (: p1_cmd: = "http://www.oracle.com"; with elements of the Page return = P1_CMD)
    4. second action alert displays this text 'P1_CMD = & P1_CMD'.

    I expected P1_CMD to be "http://oracle.com" in step 4 but is still "http://google.com" even if he showed... oracle...

    How much I miss or do not understand?

    Thanks for helping a newbie

    PS while my example seems simple, the goal is to construct a URL (using items entered by the user and a DB function call), and then open it in a pop-up window. Everything works except that the constructed URL is still a virgin when you call the popup

    Hi yv *,.

    using the syntax & MY_ITEM., the value is populated only on page rendering. In your case, value is populated probably okay, but you get it in the wrong sense.
    Try to use JS API (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21676/javascript_api.htm#CDEEIGFH), for example $v ('P1_CMD').

  • Bug: Dynamic Action on column in a table does not fire after sort column

    I have reproduced this problem on apex.oracle.com.

    Use [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=22057:1]
    user/pw: apextester

    I created a dynamic action on a tabular presentation, using a jQuery selector, to check if the misspelled word is null, display an alert and set the focus through this switch. The first time on the page, I can erase a misspelled word value and this dynamic action is triggered. I see the alert. (Focus action seems not to happen, but that is a minor issue.)

    I can put the value in their place, select the columns to sort, empty a value of misspelled word again, and this dynamic action does NOT occur. (FYI, there is another dynamic action in this app, save before exit, click OK to ignore the changes.)

    I can also access the page, make no changes, sort by header column first, then a misspelled word value virgins and this dynamic action does NOT occur.

    I added the "headers" for the report model, td tag attribute to use in the selector. This erroneous behavior is the same, I use #COLUMN_HEADER # #COLUMN_HEADER_NAME or #.

    Thank you
    Kelly

    Hi Kelly,

    Take a look at the region advanced dynamic actions and 'Scope of the event' link to 'living '. I think your problem will be solved.

  • HA does not run the cluster after the 1 host upgrade to 4.1

    Hi, I had a cluster of 3 servers, all ESX3.5 running with the DRS & active HA.  Last week, I upgraded the VI server to vCenter 4.1, and everything seemed ok. Tonight, I tried to upgrade a host computer through Update Manager, I've updated the server, it went through ok, but when the 4.1 server returned the cluster cannot configure HA more. The error says there is insufficient resources, but I don't think that this is the case, the vCenter server has a lot of disk space, RAM etc.  Research on the forums the most common problem is the length of the FULL domain name, but the mine should be allowed to 27 characters.   so as it is I have no HA, but I managed to move a machine FRO virtual server 2 to Server 3 (3.5) (3.5) no idea why what works?  Can anyone help?  Thank you

    Great... now, your current failover ability also seems to be in line with what is set... awesome... :))

  • Application module runs does not after changing the jndi in the JDBC data source name

    I had an obligation to deploy ADF application dev, test, and production. Every environments to different databases.

    To reach the requirement above, we had suite
    (a) uncheck "Auto Generate and descriptors weblogic - jdbc.xml sync for the deployment" of the Application property.
    (b) defined a data source to wls console (console different wls for each env) to dev, test, and production with jndi, jdbc/dashboardDS.
    (c) on the module of the application, the connection type changed to "JDBC Data Source" and filled in "jdbc/dashboardDS" to the name of the data source.

    Now, we are able to deploy our ADF application for dev, test, and production environments.

    But, after doing some changes to the bc4j.xcfg file as in step c), I'm not able to run AM. AM is running in an error message.

  • Dynamic action - two types of options of "condition"?

    I would like to create a dynamic action that runs when a SQL condition exists is met.  If this is the case, then it will run several true Actions.  If this isn't the case, it will run several wrong Actions.

    I see there is an option of Condition in the when section of her DA, however, seems to be limited to static value comparisons or Javascript.  There is also another section of Condition where you can select SQL exists or various other PL/SQL expressions.  What is the difference between these options two condition?

    Also, when I set the status section to Exists and in the SQL query include an equivalence to an element of the page it does not seem to recognize the value of the page element. For example:

    Select * from my_table

    where PARTY_NUMBER =: MY_PARTY_NUMBER

    It still fails the condition even when a valid part number is entered on the page (him DA is run when MY_PARTY_NUMBER is changed).  I should be able to enter a reference point of page here, Yes?

    Thank you

    P.S. I use 5 APEX

    N ° you won't achieve what you're trying to do. The standard Condition section in dynamic action controls if the code of the dynamic action is rendered the see page. It has no impact on the question of whether the actions of true or false are performed during the intervention of the user. Control conditions which are those defined in the when the properties of the dynamic action. As they are evaluated in the browser, they must be specified as JavaScript.

    To perform actions conditionally based on the existence of rows in a table requires DA type body of the PL/SQL function or SQL, submitting the values of the requested page, runs the necessary query and returns a value to an element of [probably hidden] page, followed by either an action to run Javascript Code containing conditional logic , or another DA triggered by a change on the hidden element event.

  • Dynamic action does not work with the item change event

    Hi guys,.

    I have a problem with the dynamic Action. On my page, I have three points. (P2_X-> display only, P2_Y-> P2_Z-> button, TextField) and two dynamic actions. One of them is running javascript. When I press the button (P2_Z) this dynamic action affects textfield (P2_Y) value to display only the value (P2_X). (This dynamic works). And there is another dynamic action for the option to display P2_X. This dynamic action fires to P2_X point value changes. This DA (dynamic action) runs a plsql code and inserts the value of the P2_X element in a table (test_tbl). But when I try to do it always inserts the null value.

    The plsql code is below:

    Start
    INSERT INTO TEST_TBL
    VALUES (: P2_X);
    COMMIT;
    end;

    You have an idea? If you need, I can give the user for apex.oracle.com past.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Do you have the "points Page to submit" to the process of PL/SQL, the value of the correct item? (P2_X)

  • refresh the report with dynamic action title

    Hi all

    I have a report that is updated with dynamic action. When the update is done, first the value of two hidden variables are defined (P2_ID and P2_NAME) and are subject (using a dynamic action type "pl/sql", with the code "null"; and items to submit page: P2_ID, P2_NAME).

    In the report query, I use: P2_ID in the where clause. Everything works like a charm! The only thing that doen't work, is the title of the region: which is defined as "properties of & P2_NAME.", but the title is not updated when the report is refreshed.

    Is there a solution for this? I hope I am clear enough.

    See Re: dynamic action - update

    If you are right; the native just Refresh action updates the content of the report, it does not perform & POINT. substitutions throughout the region.

    What you could do is use a RANGE named as the title as

    &P2_NAME.

    and add a REAL action to your dynamic Action to set the title using Javascript to run code

    $s('my_title',$v('P2_NAME'));

    I hope this helps.

  • Can not set a value by the executed dynamic action on the page element "selection list."

    I created an agenda of the page 'list of selection' and I want to when I change a value in another element of the page set only 'screen '.

    I created a dynamic action on the page element "selection list" for this.

    These are the dynamic action attribute:

    When:

    ======

    Event: change

    Selection type: point

    Article: P29_PURCHASE_ORDER

    Condition: No strings attached

    Advanced:

    ========

    Scope of the event: static

    Identification:

    ==========

    Action: Set

    The ' Action Page when the changed value "attribute of the element of 'list of selection' = 'None', and when I run form the dynamic action run and set the value for once and do not update the value according to the change in the article"list of selection. "

    Note: when I change the previous attribute of 'Redirect and set', dynamic action run and properly value, but the value was hidden soon

    I want to value when the value of change of select list according to this change successfully.

    Please, advice me,

    Best regards

    Mustafa Ezzat

    Hello

    you set the value of the 'Page elements to submit' to P29_PURCHASE_ORDER?

    Then, the SQL statement would use the current selected value.

    This is the help text says: "specify a list separated by commas of the elements of the page that will be submitted to the server and therefore available for use in your"SQL statement"," PL/SQL Expression"or"Body of the PL/SQL function".»

    Kind regards

  • Redirecting to a page after the dynamic action

    I stated a dynamic action of a button (its dynamic action of pl/sql). After its been pressed it fills a line in a table.

    I want to redirect it to another page, once completed the dynamic action. How can I do?

    PL/SQL D.A. have an indicator expected result, make sure that is selected.

    Then, action of true of JavaScript:

    Window.Location.href = ' & APP_ID.: 1: & APP_SESSION. :::'

    or simply add a real action of page submit and manage the re - run by a branch of the page?

  • Prevent fireing "Submit BeforePage" - dynamic Action if I click the button CANCEL

    Hello
    I create a dynamic Action on the event "before submitting the Page" which shows me a "Please Wait" - window, if I submit a page. It works very well.

    But if I click the button CANCEL, dynamic Action runs as well. Because of that I put the status "request is NOT contained in the Expression 1" and 1 Expression I put BACK, because demand from the button CANCEL is BACK. Unfortunately it is running if I press the button CANCEL.

    The action is "executing JAVA-code" and the code is:
    $x_Show('AjaxLoading');
    window.setTimeout('$s("AjaxLoading",$x("AjaxLoading").innerHTML)', 100);
    What's not here?

    Kind regards
    Mark

    Hi Mark,

    If you change your button 'CANCEL' to a "Redirect to the page of this application" button, the page is not submitted and does not fire the event "before submitting the Page.

    Or if you want to stick with the shipment, you can check for this.data in JavaScript code because that will contain the value of the application to send it. So, for example, you could use

    if (this.data != "ZURUECK") {
      $x_Show('AjaxLoading');
      window.setTimeout('$s("AjaxLoading",$x("AjaxLoading").innerHTML)', 100);
    }
