Use Dynamic Actions with pl/sql, calling a javascript alert function

Hello

I use Apex 4.0.1.00.03 with IE7.

The problem I have is:

I am converting an Oracle Forms application that has a lot of logic in it. In the application forms, it is a pl/sql function, based on a If/else condition call a popup alert box, which displays a warning message. He called pl/sql functions that return raising to the IF statement.

Example of pl/sql code:

If check_records() > 0 Then
message to the alert box
ElsIf TypeA_record then
message to the alert box
On the other
message to the alert box
End If;

I need to replicate this functionality to the Apex 4. I tried to create dynamic Action on a page element, using a pl/sql function, however, when I call the popup javascript, this code not popup an alert box. I need the pl/sql to be run when the element of the page changes, not when the page is sent.

The code I used to test the pl/sql code, which does not work in dynamic Actions > pl/sql is:

Begin
HTP.p ("< script type =" text/javascript"> '");
HTP.p ("alert ("today runs javascript code!");"
);
HTP.p ("< /script >");
End;

I need to create a pl/sql function that can do alert areas based on an IF condition.

Could someone point me in the right direction? Using dynamic shares the best way forward? I need to trigger on a page element, change the value.

Works fine now.
In the javascript code, I changed:

get.addParam ('x 01', $v ('P105_PREP_TYPE'));

by

get.addParam ('x 01', $v ('P1_PREP_TYPE'));

P1_PREP_TYPE is the correct name of the element.
Now when I choose the OTHER, 1 message.

• Help with dynamic Action with pl/sql and Javascript

Hi all
I'm a little hard with the following and I was wondering if someone can help me.
My test app is here:
http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=32581

workspace: Leppard
Login: guest
pw: app_1000

Tab: DB Link (page 19)
I have a list of unique selection on the page that queries a table in my diagram.

This is the flow that works, but not the user experience I want:
User clicks on the button Create Page 19 > the next page, page 20, appears as a popup window > user enters the name of the link = "MyLink" (or other) and one unit number, i.e. 1234 (or other) > user clicks 'Create using process' button > success message > user closed the window to return to the page 19 > user clicks LOV refresh to refresh the list of selection so that the new value is displayed.

That's what I'm aiming for: user clicks on the button Create Page 19 > the next page, page 20, appears as a popup window > user enters the name of the link = "MyLink" (or other) and one unit number, i.e. 1234 (or other) > user clicks button "create using the DA ' > dynamic action is called running pl/sql closes the popup window and refreshes the list of selection on page 19.

I know that I have some problems with my dynamic action. First of all, the pl/sql is not yet recognize the values that I enter the fields in item on page 20. I created a first pl/sql "null;" to force these items in session state, but it does not work for me and the pl/sql just inserts a null value into my table. Secondly, I can't get javascript to fire code to refresh the list of selection on page 19. The code I use in the DA is the same thing as what is behind the button refresh LOV, so I am confident that the code works, I just can't get this fire click the button "create using the DA" on page 20.

Sorry if this is confusing - I can clarify if necessary, let me know. Thanks in advance. Of course I'm still learning...

I modified your DA as follows.

In real Action of DA,.

1 Seq 10, I added the element page 20 Page points to submit and return Pagenames. You forgot to add items here
2 Seq 20, I changed your simple code to insert. Simple code just insert
3 Seq 30, I added the new code to close the window and reload the window open.

• Dynamic action to execute PL/SQL that calls a JavaScript alert - does not

Greetings,

I'm stuck! I use the Apex Version 4.2.2. I have a requirement that, when the user fills Field1, I check the database to see if the value of field1 has already been used. If it was used, I have to inform the user, but the user is allowed to reuse the value - that is to say, duplicates are allowed. My thought is to use a dynamic action to check the onchange of value running pl/sql to check (via a function in the database) and if it returns true, use a javascript alert to inform my user value is used. They can then close the alert and change (or not change) the duplicate value

I did the following:

1 wrote a PL/SQL function in my utility package in the database - we'll call it apps.my_utils.check_value_use (p_my_val in varchar2) return Boolean - it works.

2. created a dynamic Action with the following properties for P1_FIELD1:

Event: change

Selection type: item (s)

Product (s): P1_FIELD1

Condition: is not null

3. the dynamic Action has an action - real Action

Action: Execute the PL/SQL Code

Page items to submit: P1_FIELD1

PL/SQL code:

BEGIN

IF apps.my_utils.check_value_use(:P1_FIELD1) = TRUE THEN

HTP.p ("< script type =" text/javascript "> '");

HTP.p ("alert (" this value is used ""); ")

');

HTP.p ("< /script >" ");

END IF;

END;

When I run the page and fill in Field1 with a value that I know is in use, I get the following error:

Error: parsererror - SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character

Help, please. I already spent too much time on this apparently simple requirement.

Thank you

J.

BEGIN

IF apps.my_utils.check_value_use(:P1_FIELD1) = TRUE THEN

HTP.p(' ');

END IF;

END;

Avoid doing this. Try the following method:

(1) create a dummy hidden element to store the result of your validation of PL/SQL. Lets call it P1_DA_ERR

(2) in your PL/SQL block put this point hidden in the field "Page point back.

(3) in your PL/SQL block placed the result of your validation in this element hidden as

DECLARE
l_err PLS_INTEGER := 0;
BEGIN
-- An example
IF 1=1 THEN
l_err := 0;
ELSE
l_err := 1;
end if;
:P1_DA_ERR := l_err;
END;

(4) add a true other "Run Javascript code" type action. The could should look like:

if(parseFloat($v('P1_DA_ERR'))==1)
{
alert('Error occurred');
}

Hello

1. in doSubmit ("ACCEPT");

ACCEPT is nothing than the name of the button, but I hope that you have created the name of the button as "BELOVED".

$2 s ('P57_ACCETTA', 1);

$s('P57_ACCETTA',1)---> all by setting the value you give space. Make the changes and check.

And you enter this script in the HTML header.

If possible you can send your page with the credentials so that will look.

The first thing is that a Condition that is applied to a control of dynamic action if the dynamic action is made the see page. She has therefore no impact on the question of whether the actions of true or false are performed. Control conditions which are those defined in the when the properties of the dynamic action. As they are evaluated in the browser, they must be specified as JavaScript.

Secondly, this expression is not valid because it is a space between the colon and the identifiers. Link the names of rating, the colon and the variable element must be contiguous:

:P8_BUSINESSRULETYPE = 10 OR :P8_BUSINESSRULETYPE = 8 OR :P8_BUSINESSRULETYPE = 7 OR :P8_BUSINESSRULETYPE = 9

However the latter is only of academic interest, in this case you need to remove the condition of dynamic action.

In the dynamic of change when action section, P8_BUSINESSRULETYPE, P8_OPERATOR, Condition of JavaScript Expressionand value to the value of the item (s)

($v('P8_BUSINESSRULETYPE') == '7')
|| ($v('P8_BUSINESSRULETYPE') == '8')
|| ($v('P8_BUSINESSRULETYPE') == '9')
|| ($v('P8_BUSINESSRULETYPE') == '10')
|| ($v('P8_OPERATOR') == '9')

If you are using a browser that supported, this can be simplified to

(['7', '8', '9', '10'].indexOf($v('P8_BUSINESSRULETYPE')) >= 0)
|| ($v('P8_OPERATOR') == '9')

• helps with the update of tabular form using dynamic Action

Hello world

I'm trying to simplify a tabular presentation based on a collection so that it uses more dynamic actions that will be ultimately more easy for us to debug.

Our tabular presentation is based on the query:

c044,
c050 shark_flag
from apex_collections
where collection_name = 'SPECIES_COLLECTION' order by seq_id

Note that many of the fields referenced are c0xx... and really serve as place holders so that the c0xx = fxx. It's awkward, like every time that a movement or move a column, it upsets the fxx value. So, I tried to use the CLASS if possible.

I have a dynamic action that had worked perfectly, until I moved one of the columns... and now, it seems not to work when I'm trying to update anything with the HMS_INFO or SHARK_INFO class. Grrr.

dynamic action: CHANGE COLUMN

event: CHANGE

selection type: JQUERY SELECTOR

jQuery selector: input [name = 'f10'], input [name = 'f11'], input [name = 'f12'], input [name = "f24"], textarea [name = "f28"], select [name = "f40"], input [name = "f41"]

true action1: defined value, expression javascript, set P110_ID = this.triggeringElement.id

true action2: defined value, expression javascript, set P110_VALUE = this.triggeringElement.value

true action3: run pl/sql,.

declare
v_attr number;
v_seq number;
begin
v_attr := TO_NUMBER (SUBSTR (:p110_id, 2, 2));
select ltrim(substr(:p110_ID,5,4),'0') into v_seq from dual;

safis_collections.update_column(v_seq,
v_attr,
:p110_value);
end;

the safis_collections.update_column package is:

procedure update_column(v_seq in varchar2,
v_attr in number,
v_value in varchar2)
is
begin
apex_collection.update_member_attribute (p_collection_name=> 'SPECIES_COLLECTION',
p_seq => v_seq,
p_attr_number => v_attr,
p_attr_value => v_value);
apex_debug.message('updated column. seq='||v_seq||' attribute='||v_attr||' with '||v_value);

end;

I wonder if there is a way to make the CLASS in my JQUERY SELECTOR, so something like reference entry [class = "HMS_INFO"], input [CLASS = "shark_info"]... and if so, what happens if a single item in the class is an option button and the other is a selection list and the other an element?

is it possible to not have to rely on the fxx. Currently, my collection columns map to the investment in the form of tables... sense, c024 = f24... because I placed c024 to be the 24th editable column, but this seems crazy. Is there a simpler way? I'm just learning class, then maybe there is something extra, or rather that I could use...

any help is appreciated. Thank you!

I think I have solved the problem.

true action6: refreshment area

I think it is the combination of the use of pl/sql expression to calculate P110_SEQ and also your tip on TRUE ACTION2 to submit the item that did the trick.

Thanks Kofi, for your patience and help! It was great.

Ugh... on the next issue.

• change the results of the report with the selection list using dynamic action

This is one of those situations where if I could understand the appropriate search terms to use, someone else must have asked this question in the past.

I have a report with a SQL query with a condition based on a list of selection on the same page. So I have a list of selection -: P177_FISCAL_YEAR

My request for my report is:

Select md_id, display_name, description

When a person makes a selection on the selection list (: P177_FISCAL_YEAR), I would like to report up-to-date without having to submit the page. I was hoping that I could do something like this using a dynamic action but have not found a way to do it.

Thanks in advance!

• Dynamic action with refreshment area interactive report

Hello!

I use APEX 4.02

I have a page with 2 regions.
Region1 is a form (of entry)
Region.2 is an interactive report on the same table as region 1

When you enter values in the form I'm trying dynmically similar research records in the table with the interactive report.

I made a dynamic action on the change of form fields that must refresh the interactive report region. I can see this one fires if I add an alert to debug if it fires.
The dynamic report is based on a query with bind variable pointing to the fields in the form, for example
where
Field1 =: P2_FIELD1

It works fine on the page loading, so no action is triggered, but I see the lines in the region of report are the ones I'm looking for.
The updating of the report area does not work, but it is never nice and/or showing the correct data after a change of form fields, if it looks like the dynamic action "refresh the region" does not work on the interactive report.

Any ideas why it can go wrong?
I want to solve this problem using standard dynamic actions and preferably not via PL/SQL or JS, should be possible if I believe documentation... ;)

See you soon

$v ('P5_ITEM_1')! == « X » || $v ('P5_ITEM_2') is nothing

Therefore all true subsequent actions should be triggered when the P5_ITEM_1 is not equal to add or P5_ITEM_2 is null. This does not work for me. Only the first condition seems to be considered. The second seems to be ignored. In other words, I can pass the two around and I have rated P5_ITEM_2 and the other ignored.

Thoughts?

-Seth.

If you would like to evaluate both conditions then have nested If statements or use and operator instead where operator

in one or the Organizer if the 1st condition is true then the whole expression must be set to true so that the rest are not evaluated

Kind regards

• Refresh the region in a table using dynamic action

Hello

I'm stumped on this scenario please advise. I have a dynamic action a button that when clicked fires real action pl/sql that will add a member to a collection, it works as expected, but the second real action on the same button will refresh the tabular form/report region. This isn't refreshing my form/report.

To know that if we can indeed I created a report on the same page, based on the same point of view and dynamic action works.

So why the dynamic action of refreshing working on my new report and not on the form of tables. I found a tabular presentation just a report of updateble.

I use apex 4.1.0.00.32

Help, please.

Right-click of the tabular form > click attributes report > go to layout and pagination > set yes partial page refresh

• Apex_util.redirect_url in 4.1.1 using dynamic action

Hello

I'm trying to implement a dynamic action in charge that will redirect users to the home page of any other page if certain values are undefined.

So, I set DA for event "Page loading", the following PL/SQL execution
DECLARE
l_url varchar2(2000);
BEGIN
l_url := APEX_UTIL.PREPARE_URL('f?p=&APP_ID.:HOME:&SESSION.');

wwv_flow.g_unrecoverable_error := true;
htp.init();
apex_util.redirect_url(l_url, true);
END;
based on the other topics in the forum, as well as this post from Scott Spendolini
http://spendolini.blogspot.com.au/2006/02/page-0-branches.html

When I run in debug mode, I can confirm that her DA is shot, but it raises an error
Dynamic Action Fired: Redirect when blah (NATIVE_EXECUTE_PLSQL_CODE)
jquery-1.6.2.js:561 Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token <
Any suggestions?

Scott

To do this, you must use a process page which on before the page header.

• Refresh the zone using dynamic action

Hello

I have a page in my application with two different regions. First region has a selection list and second region has a report and the report query uses the value of the selection as a variable binding list.

I created a dynamic action to refresh the report region when the value of the selection list is changed.

It works very well and the report is updated after changing the value, but once the updated report of State lines are different.

When I move the mouse over the lines, the background color changes and when I move the mouse from the line, it does not scale to the original color.

Is this a bug?

Thank you
Machaan

Hi Machaan,

good news, the problem reproduced no more on APEX 4.0.2 which will be our next group of hotfixes.

• Dynamic Action run PL/SQL Code runs is not after 4.2.5 upgrade

APEX 4.2.4 to 4.2.5 11.2 database upgrade

I have a button to click on DA who owns shares run of PL/SQL Code and update point who worked in version 4.2.4 which is no longer running after the 4.2.5 patch.

The PL/SQL procedure has been tested autonomous and it runs correctly.

I tested him DA is actually shot on the click event by adding an alert "DA xxxx pulled" action before the execution of work of PL/SQL action and action alert.

There is also a similar on DA click which makes the action opposite to the DA problem and it works both are configured in the same way:

Static DA, run Code PL/SQL - check waiting for result, and not repress with the same Submit and return items.

Any ideas on a possible cause/solution much appreciated

Fixed it, the question was the Page elements of return of goods on the action of PL/SQL Code:

If the target element was empty the action failed, by adding a value in the database through a normal SQL insert then the insert DA completed successfully.

Removing Page elements at the point of return of the action of PL/SQL and together action update the target element after the DA fires in all scenarios.

But thanks for the lead
