  I recently had to reinstall all my suite production premium, and since I did this first freezes when I try to link it to an After Effects composition. Found a fix for Windows on internet, treated with dynamic link not having is not a link to the new installation of first, but the paths of the files were rubbish since I'm on a mac. Please help if you know how to solve this problem!

  For me, the 'standard' answer did not work when I had this problem recently (in fact, the 'standard' response rarely works, I found).  In my situation, it was Knoll Light Factory from Red Giant Software plugin breaking ALL dynamic linking in CS4 on my OSX system.

  Everything I did (after finding a thread very useful here, with answers that go beyond a short sentence) was to remove the Knoll Light Factory 2.5 folder /MediaCore. folder  Once I did that, everything worked.

  For others, uninstall the other Red Giant Software or other third-party plug-ins solved their problems of dynamic binding broken.

  If you have installed an any of these recently, I suggest you uninstall them systematically until your works of dynamic linking.

  Why a plugin After Effects (in my case) broke ANY dynamic link CS4 feature is a mystery.  I informed this red giant and told them I was not alone, but because they could not reproduce the problem on their end, I do not expect a fix 'official' anytime soon.  And since the dynamic linking is essential for the new Adobe Media Encoder working group, it was necessary to find a solution.  I was very close to back to CS3 when I stumbled upon the solution of helpful users here.

  I've updated after effects and Premiere Pro for the 2015,3 Versions and Dynamic Link does not work. So I all uninstalled and reinstalled the 2015,2 versions again and reworked dynamic links. So I uninstalled all new and reinstalled 2015.3 and once again no dynamic link. So I again to uninstall and reinstall 2015.2 so that I can continue to work. I really want to use the updated 2015.3 version. Someone has any suggestions how to fix the dynamic link?

  Thanks to all those who have written answers here. None of them were the solution for me, but now I have dynamic links working again. The answer to my problem which is after effects has been implemented in Windows 7 "open as Administrator" in the settings, first Pro was not. It was something that had been done during a Chat from Adobe where I had allowed a 'expert Adobe' access to my computer to try to sort out another problem. • CC 2015 Dynamic Link for AE does not update first

  Have a start in 2014 cc, dynamic linked to AE COMP. update to cc2015. When I make adjustments to a conference of related parties in AE, this change does not appear first.

  When I click on Edit Original in the first (2015), I was taken to the comp in AE (2015). So the link seems to work, but changes in AE do not appear first

  Rendering will not first day timeline to changes in model related.

  The problem is that I used to import the AE composition by right-clicking on the project tree, and then file import AE and I chose the composition.

  It's been my standard until the cs6.

  Do the same thing now, I have to click file > Adobe Dynamic Link > Import AE composition!

• Dynamic links - actually works?

  Sent a sequence of AE through hotlinks, did a ton of paint / follow-up/lot of deep layers / and other cleaning work on all stages. When I'll be back at first, I can't read without dropping frames and stop, I tried to make the area work together, as well as rendering effects, and no matter what I try I can not correct reading... the only way I can operate must return a file released AE and import it in first.

  I don't see any color at the top of the timeline DL, not red, not yellow, not green.

  You work in a sequence of AJA?  If you are, it may be similar to a problem I had, which is that the sequence of the AJA show no need for a rendering (no color at all rendering bar) on the DL clips.  You must essentially thing needing a rendering by adding another effect to zero and then return in the sequence.  Usually, I add a fast blur or blur channel to the DL element, set it to zero and then I'll get a red bar above - and now I can make it.  That should allow you to playback in real time.

  Dynamic link works between versions of similar applications. Make sure you have the same version of both applications.

  For example, Premiere Pro CC 2015 won't work in dynamic link with after effects CC 2015

  First Pro CC 2014.2 will work in dynamic link with after effects CC 2014.2 and so on...

• Dynamic links works only when the AE project is open

  Whenever I start my project to create, all my images load, but where there is a dynamic linked after effects composition I just get the yellow "media Meanwhile chart» If I try to recreate a link to these compositions to the original after effects project (there is only 1 project with comps about 7 inside), first simply freezes, and my only option is to force quit it.

  If I try to reimport that after effects project that it freezes and I have to force to leave. I tried to create another after effects project with just a simple piece of text in 1 composition and then import and sometimes with the dialog "Import after effects compositions" but then there is simply nothing but show progress who never does anything bar a "connection to the server of dynamic links".

  On other occasions, when I try to make a shape any dynamic link import first just freezes and I have to force quit. It seems to be a problem for me with dynamic link, which has happened recently. This may be due to an After effects Scripts, I recently installed? Can they affect dynamic links?

  SOLUTION: I found a solution, but it is not ideal in case I've had several after effects in the first projects. I can open the 1 after the effects of the project first, and then when I opened the first links to the project and the individual compositions seamlessly. BUT if I close after effects project while still in first, first freezes and I have to force it to quit. If something is terribly wrong with this project.

  Okay, I think I found the solution.

  First of all, I went through and deleted a third after effects scripts/Script UI panels/third party plugins to see if that was causing problems. I then tried again and found that it still had the same problem, so it wasn't because of that.

  I then found someone in a forum that said deleting the folder Adobe containing positioning preferences and other things found in the documents of the user. I deleted it and as I forced quit 2 process of "aselflink" which seems to be running in the background. I also deleted my preferences AE holding Option-shift on the after effects startup and launch of the first.

  A combination of all that, now a dynamic link is working smoothly again. I go to a time not so crucial for my current project finished, reinstall the scripts etc and make sure that it was not caused by them.

  When I go to file > add after effects Composition I have an error: "Could not connect to Adobe After Effects.  "Please check that the Aobde After Effects and Adobe Dynamic Link components are installed"

  For dynamic links to work as expected, you must have Apps on the same exact versions for example, so once the effects on the 2014.2, Media Encoder should also be 2014.2

  Kyle, I solved my problem with an other posts on this forum. It turned out to be the NVidia nView Desktop Manager applet in the control panel. It has been activated, and I believe that it has been activated for a long time. I don't know if something in a recent update of broke things, but as soon as I disabled the Desktop Manager, my dynamic link started working again in all aspects. Give it a try. Good luck.

• After effects CC on slow maverick make due to dynamic link CC PP sequences

  I put first pro CC publishes after effects CC via dynamic links every day. Given that I improved my Maverick systems and first installed the 12.0.1 and then 12.1 rendering projects After effects with Dynamic Link changes the timeline slow descent of 10 hours (in12.0 on Mountain Lion) to about 90 hours. If I replace the dynamic link with a QT movie, it restores about 10 more hours. It is normal that the Hotlinks slows dow rendering, but it is extreme and because this was not the case on the Cougar and 12.0 for the same project with the same dynamic link, not normal. I couldn't understand what causes this. Is - this Maverick on my 2008 Mac Pro? is this a bug in link 12.1 or dynamic? Or I can solve this with a simple setting somewhere in Maverick or AE?

  I had a few problems with rendering and downturns serveral times in first, sequels and even after updating the mavericks, I found in other forums that the new feature called NAP was the problem, after you stop this, adobe prodcuts works like a charm. Go to your folder application, do a right-click your application and check the option to turn off the NAP, tell me if it works for you.

  Woks only dynamic as link between versions. Then PR CS6 to EN CS6. There is no dynamic relationship between PR CC and EN CS6.

  I have a MacPro Late 2013 OSX Yosemite, with 32 GB of RAM and XEON E5, Adobe CC 2015. I work with After Effects using Dynamic Link first. I am dynamic linking first footage in After Effects. My problem is that the sequence bound will not drop on my Composition, effects after. The really strange thing is, I can reboot the system open After Effects you deposit the sequence in the composition, then I can't fall more, I get the circle with a line through it telling me I can't. So I can drop a sequence in my composition every reboot. I really want to work this way as it takes forever. I erased the media cache.

  I work with 1280 x 720, 60 frames per second video captured with a Panasonic camera.

  It seems that you have a collapse of the lit transformations and the layer of film is a composition. I guess the Maria Isabel.avi in the composition of Maria Isabel.avi is 2D. With collapse transformations turned on what you see is a normal behavior.

  What you want to do is just right click on the AVI of Maria in the chronology of the first and select replace with After Effects Composition. Once inside AE not pre compose layer avi, just make it 3D.

  The other option would be to open the composition of Maria Isabel.avi and make your 3D transformations there.

  Still another option would be to disable the transformations of the collapse.

  I don't know why the images of Maria Isabel.avi was previously comped. I see no cases in the screenshot that gives me a reason.
