  I worked on it for a while and I can't do things. I am using formcalc. I have a dynamic PDF form, I created with two drop-down lists. A drop-down list has elements such as the 'new' or 'Used' and the second drop-down list has a price list, such as "99 ¢ ' or '$ 1.99', etc. At the bottom of the form, there is an element of code 128 barcode barcode which is the value calculated - read-only. I am trying to use logic to combine both, where if you have selected 'New' and ' 99 ¢ "would that be the rawvalue of the code bars"NEW1"or something in that sense.

  Here's what I have so far:

  TopmostSubform.Page1.Shape.DropDownList1::calculate - (FormCalc, client)

  What I'm missing here?

• Bind the drop down list to XML response from the web service

  In Designer ES2, I'm trying to populate a drop-down list with the data returned by a web service, but can't seem to get the link right.

  I created a web service using Workbench, which returns the following XML data (shown here in a text field for test purposes):

  

  However, when I bind this to the DataDropdownList control, LiveCycle seems to be putting the entire XML document in the drop-down list.

  Therefore, a connection is made and the web service returns data, but it is not bound correctly as items in the list.

  I need the drop-down list to display the individual names returned by the web service.  Finally, it probably will be expanded to include the name and identification number (text and value, respectively).

  Can you see where I am going wrong with this?  Any help would be appreciated.

• Raising the event "output" from a drop-down list in all instances of a table row

  I have a drop-down list in a row of table with multiple instances that performs a calculation on the exit event. This calculation takes information from 2 other drop-down lists listed above not repetitive rows of the same table.

  The behavior desired is: If the user change their choices above, all instances of the drop-down list below to execute the "Exit" event script to access the new values above.

  My script is:

  RowOptionalCoverage.DdlCoverageType.execEvent ("exit");     It works, sort of

  It updates only the first instance of RowOptionalCoverage and any subsequent instances. The user can 'Tab' through instances and trigger output for each instance event, but this isn't a reasonable solution.

  I tried using the method resolveNodes without success. I understand, using the method resolveNodes may be required when you reference multiple instances of an object:

  this.resolveNodes ("RowOptionalCoverage [*]. DdlCoverageType [*] ") .execEvent ("exit");"     does not work

  xfa.resolveNodes ("RowOptionalCoverage [*]. DdlCoverageType [*] ") .execEvent ("exit");"      does not work

  No doubt, I have to be incorrectly using the resolveNodes or rate something? Probably something simple.

  All the tips are greatly appreciated.

  Hello Stephen,

  You need to loop through each instance of the line and force the exit event. Without the form, it should look like:

  var oRows = xfa.resolveNodes ("RowOptionalCoverage [*]");
  oNodes var = oRows.length;
      
  for (var i = 0; i)< onodes;="">

  xfa.resolveNode ("RowOptionalCoverage [" + i + "]"). DdlCoverageType.execEvent ("exit");
  }

  You could also index table to determine the number of row repeat:

  var oNodes = RowOptionalCoverage.instanceManager.count;

  You may change this to make it work.

• Dynamic drop-down list in the Bay of cluster

  I have a table of cluster that contains two drop-down list boxes. The first drop-down list box control which Articles of the second drop-down list box by writing in the node property [StringsAndValues] for the second box. The problem I have is when I create a new index in the table of cluster and select different values in the drop-down list boxes, it changes the area of dynamic drop-down list on all indexes in the table. Attached, that's what I have so far.

  Wow, what are the chances of another thread like this so early.

  Check out this other thread and look at the link of Hooovahh to see a great way to change the drop-down list box strings during execution to give the appearance different drop-down list boxes. The reality is that you can't have the combo box different types/lists in the same table. So what it is, is to check what element you are clicked on and change the behavior of the combobox as a result.

  Sorry we are not moving right:

  We don't use Web DynPro, so cannot advise here. It seems you might be deploy / using the form in HTML (instead of Acrobat/Reader); This could have an impact on the drop-down list.

  We also use dynamic SQL with drop-down lists, as you have demonstrated. However, we can script to the default value, so I don't know why you can't achieve a similar result.

  Delete the existing table using splice (0);

  then I add the new array of labels.

  Before, when I didn't have the splice (0), I only had the .unshift () and sometimes got bays combined together and a scroll bar appears automatically in the Simulator.  But then the berries were mixed.

  from the looks of it, your property rowCount is set too high. the rowCount property represents the number of lines displayed on the screen when the drop down menu is open. so if the number of rows is less than the amount of items on the list, it will create a scroll bar with a drop-down list for you. try to set the number of lines to a default value of 10 and and keep it manipulate your list from there. and see if you get the desired results.   PDF documents have no concept of "tables" as MS Word or MS Excel has. There is content that looks like a table.

  Acrobat JavaScript knows tables and form fields. So we could have a table in JavaScript and complete a series of fields that looks like a table. You can use JavaScript to find the table.

  JavaScript in Acrobat can accept user entries in the fields and pop-up windows.

  It is possible to solve theoretical equations the user if the good rating or coding is used.

  It seems down right when I do dpList-> removeAll().

  I also can't seem to find the right place to call this function to an object of type in my class.  I think it's because the drop-down list is not ready yet as the dpList * is always 0 unless what I call after the line:

  app->setScene(root);
  

  in the applicationui.cpp file.  Calling it works on start-up, but trying to update the list later (by removeAll() and recreate) causes the app crashing.

  is there a better way to do it?  .. and make it safer?  I can't understand how to do this.

  First, drop the:

  dpList->setSelectedOption(0);
  

  Not only if it is not necessary, but it will explode your application if the function is called when there is already no options in the menu dropdown.

  Also, do NOT delete the task, because it is still owned by the datamodel. I also see that you use type casting C, which just blindly accepts your cast, even if it's a mistake. Instead, if you know for sure what kind it will be this way instead:

  Task* myTask = static_cast(myObjects[i]);
  

  If you are not sure if the type you are casting the is the type you need, use the dynamic_cast instead:

  Task* myTask = dynamic_cast(myObjects[i]);
  

  The advantage of this more static_cast , is that if you try to perform a type cast is not compatible, then myTask will be set to NULL.

  Alternatively, Qt offers a replacement for dynamic_cast which works on platforms where is not regular C++ casts.

  Task* myTask = qobject_cast(myObjects[i]);
  

  It is functionally equivalent to dynamic_cast, but as I said, it works on all platforms that Qt exists, whereas dynamic_cast cannot.

  I have a requirement for a list dynamic downdown.

  I use javascript itself to fill the 2 text fields in the drop-down list.  I need the list/menu area drop down to be able to have options to input from the user and the drop-down list. I selected the "user entered - optional" compared to the setting but does not seem to work.

  The drop has used names and if a new employee joined this company and I do not know the end user can enter the name of the employee in the field.

  I have attached a pdf file version.

• initialize a dynamic drop-down list

  I have a table (say table1) with 11 courses, of which 4 are foreign keys.
  When you create a new record, I use drop-down lists to fill 4 foreign key fields in table1.
  When I update the table 1, I use a drop-down list on the search page to select the record and pass it to the edit page via an URL parameter. No foreign keys appear in the new page into a field of text without problem and can be edited. Foreign keys can be displayed without problem, but if I want to change, I have to use a list of to do.
  
  Each foreign key is contained in a menu drop-down filled from its own set of records.
  
  Is there a way that these drop-down lists can be dynamically initialized to the foreign key value in Table 1? Or is there a better way to do it?
  
  Some of the key run in the hundreds, and having set all 4 manually before an update can be made is tedious.
  
  I work in php5 and Mysql.

  I was setting the initial value of the dynamic list of its own key, rather than the foreign key in table1.
