Dynamically set widget values

I'm starting to experiment with variables and widgets. I'm still new in Captivate 4. In particular, I've been tinkering with the PieChart.swf widget. I think you mix things up. Some widgets use variables, such as the certificate Widget. But this isn't the case, IMO, with the pie chart widget. Nowhere in the Advanced tab, variables are mentioned. You can insert the value of a variable in a text caption with the sum of $ before and after the variable, but the settings in the pie chart are not only the text. He is the designer of the widget which decides to use variables, in this case that no variable is used.

Help text that you link is for a Widget Designer, not for the user of a ready to use Widget.

I hope this was clear enough? If you want a widget like this table, but with variables, it will have to be programmed.

Dynamic action to set the value of the point of Application

I want to display a form button that sets a value of the point of Application. Can someone please help and guide how to proceed?

The requirement is, the user will receive a report, they can change a record and a button will allow him to SET the record for the session. When it accesses a different page within the application, they will see that the data relevant to the record that is DEFINED.

You can use the dynamic action 'Code from PL/SQL Execute' to fix your application. For example, your code might look like

P1_DISPLAY_MODE would be the element on your current page where you select the desired value.

How I set the value of a dynamic text field row

I have a repeated line form that contains a button and several text fields. There is a text field (input field) above with some information I want to place in the table and several buttons that I want to read the value of and defined on the table. Glad you figured it out... nothing wrong with doing it this way.

Normally XML contains data and no default legends these xml files are bouond to the rawValue property. You can enable the dynamic linking and other properties of the object will be bindable (they appear as links) in the user interface. If you click on the link to legend an Assistant appears allowing you to bind the node in the XML file.

I am wonder if what follows is possiable with service set the value using XPath, * simple * workaround is also welcome.

I can refer to /root/item [1] by:

I created 2 simple samples that I enclose the answer as one. File ACL.

First to get the value of a node using an attribute, what you need to do is create a variable that will contain the dynamic data - in your case, the value of the region. Then create another variable that you receive the value of the desired XMl element - I called mine 'value '. If your setValue would look like this:

As you can see, there is no need to use the string() function, because by default, while XML is a string. This is precisely why you should use the number() function when trying to identify an item by its index. Index must be a number, not a string.

I changed the dynamic on this page action to make it work now. I changed the "value Type" action 'Set value' 'Expression JavaScript' and "JavaScript Expression" do the following:
```
$v(this.triggeringElement)
```
This example gets the value of the page element 'DESPROGES', bypassing the server for nothing, as you did before.

Set control value error 91

I'm trying to use on a dynamic called vi control value. Control is an object.

Everything works except if I dynamically load the vi project packed library. When I do that and then set the value of control returns error 91 "the variant data type is not compatible with the data type of wired for the input type.

I am writing a main application which will be integrated into an exe file. The exe will load plugins to a directory. I want the plugins to have a single file, so I initially put the source distributions in llbs. That works fine until you have two files with the same name, even if they are in their own libraries. Which lead me to the project packaged libraries.

The question as Aristos explains on lava which is the class that I use in my main application and in the packed project library is not really the same category because we're in a lvlib and it is in a lvlibp. So, I put my class in a library and build a library packed one. I then use this library in my main application and plugins. Given that the main application plugins use the same lvlibp that they use the same class and everything works. So I'm going to mark my own post as the solution since Aristos don't post here.

It's so little pain. The class that I use for communication is a class e-mail called doggies messaging library object that rose created Dalban. It's like a normal queue except that the data type is a class. This means I have to put all my message classes in a library project packed. Because of this I will be rethinking the sharing classes between my main application and plugins. Maybe I'll use something else such as the library of the CMA.

Fortunately, it is still early in the design of this application. I just discovered the difficulty by a demonstration of the prototype of concept.
