dysfunction of JavaScript

Hello

Since I downloaded the version 25, I have problems will be omitting all javascript scripts. Same technical support of Evernote said that there are errors with javascript. EverNote cut, buttons won't work, forms, I mean about everything. In some cases, it will work for a bit and then fail. Forced to use chrome correct so I don't have to. I also might want to go back to a stabe version but don't know how to do this.

Hello ilad, adobe has announced that he will not continue to develop or support flash for mobile devices, more than two years ago: http://blogs.adobe.com/conversations/2011/11/flash-focus.html

Mozilla is working on an html5 player under the code name shumway, who may be able to view flash content: areweflashyet.com

I'm also not aware of any feature of mozilla or service that would require you to have a google profile + of (other rates that the firefox android app on the google game shop, but it's something that is dictated by google)-giving users the choice for the protection of personal information and the sharing of their data is one of the fundamental principles of mozilla!

I do not understand how your question about google voice is related to firefox, you'd probably have to contact google support to get an answer on this...

To cite how this can be tested:

  • If the applications are written in Javascript, how can a developer protect the rights?

I read that Firefox OS applications are written in Javascript, Html, and CSS. Can anyone see or copy the code? Is it possible to prevent it?

BONES of Firefox applications are written in JavaScript. It does not support Java or Flash. Your code is automatically protected by copyright in some countries as the France, see the laws of your country. But if you want to hide your code, it is not possible. You can just make it unreadable with a mibified version.

  • JavaScript does not in FF, but works fine in IE, Chrome, Opera, and Mobile devices

On this page, the menus javascript (two of them) often do not load. If I click on Ctrl + F5, they can load on the 2nd attempt. This Page works fine in IE, Chrome, Opera and mobile browsers, but not in FF. I cleared FF cache by going to options and have also worked with modules and plug-ins to 'ask to activate '. This problem persists...

Javascript menu bars sometimes don't show at all, or sometimes will appear, but have empty menu items (menu options do not show).

    http://www.consultapedia.com/international/international_marketing/intl_mrktg_skill101.htm

I've included a screenshot of how they (don't) appear in FF. Also another screenshot of how they appear in other browsers, or when I click Ctrl + F5 in FF.

Hmm, there is a lot of content added by scripts on this page after a delay.

Firefox has several optimizations to speed up the display of pages in the cache which may malfunction under certain circumstances. For example, display a page using the Back button will not necessarily trigger an "onload" event in the page. This article describes how to work around this problem for web developers: https://developer.mozilla.org/Firefox/Releases/1.5/Using_Firefox_1.5_caching

For end users, it is a difficult problem to solve. A partial solution might be the following:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press return / enter. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste sess and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers and change the value from-1 to 0 (that's a zero).

(Please change not all other parameters similar to 0-sounding or you can disable the ability of Firefox to save/restore your tabs and windows open).

Then reload the page problem and trying sail away and back to see if the inserted content is preserved.

There may be a performance penalty slight for this change, but you probably won't notice it. Firefox will be used in the file cache, it will just go up the page in a slightly different way that often works around this issue.

apparently the first reaction was of someone who does not understand what I am complaining. In fact, it was confuse you the difference between JavaScript that is built into Firefox and the separate Java plugin installed on the system.

  • How can I activate JavaScript

I use Firefox for tor and I need to know how to enable JavaScript, once I reached my site

Java and JavaScript are different languages.
    To avoid confusion, see:

If you use extensions (Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > Extensions) which can block content (e.g., Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that these extensions are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

When I pull down the menu under Tools, there is no other choice called OPTIONS. I want to activate javascript, but don't know how.

Also the options is the term used on Windows. On Mac, it's called preferences and you can find it in the menu of the application (button "3-bar" menu) or the Firefox menu in the classic menu bar.

Also, I suspect that you may have an extension of filtering (for example, advertising blocker, blocker, blocker tracking script) that causes this problem, but please work with suggestions contained in the reply of cor - el, where it is one of the simplest things.

Firefox's JavaScript should be enabled by default. Can you provide more information about the messages that you have found on this subject?

At the same time, to examine the question of Norton and your language:

Norton has been a big topic of communication of updates for Firefox via LiveUpdate a few days before each new version of Firefox is available. But that changed with Firefox 41. Due to the change in Firefox (which was originally going to be in 40 Firefox but was delayed at the request of Norton and maybe a few other companies), the toolbar needs major changes and they are still not available yet. Norton issued a statement on this subject: https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v115161915_EndUserProfile_en_us

If you want to use an updated version of Firefox that allows to run the current Norton Toolbar, there are another option. You might consider a different variant of Firefox called the Extended Support Release (ESR) for the moment. ESR is designed for businesses that require a cycle time longer between changes to the features, but anyone can run it.

ESR is currently based on Firefox 38. It will get updates of security over the coming months, but not to get new features, so changes in Firefox 41 concerning the compatibility of the add-on will not be out for a good time.

Norton is likely to continue to support the ESR until the new update of toolbar. After that, I don't know what they will do because normally they don't take over a small range of versions.

If you decide to try it, here's how I suggest to install:

    Clean reinstall it

We use this name, but it isn't about deleting your settings, this is to ensure that the program, files are clean (not incompatible, corrupt or exotic code files). As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

    (A) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 38.3.0esr of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (B) the release of Firefox (if any).

    (C) to rename the program folder, either:

    (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Fx41

    (Windows 32-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\Fx41

    (D) run the installer downloaded to (A). It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

    Success?

Note: Some plugins can only exist in the old folder. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • \Fx41\Plugins
    • \Fx41\browser\plugins

What has been the recent initial risk security involving Javascript in Firefox? I downloaded the suggested "No Script" to be able to allow or forbid scripts on Web sites. However, it gets a little frustrating when waiting for pages to download, then realize that I have to enable them. I really need to make it longer?

JavaScript is not any security risk known that have not been resolved in recent versions of Firefox. You are thinking maybe Java, which is full of known security holes and should be turned off, but is not related to the Javascript in any way.

I don't think you can use window.document.img_home.src to set the attribute of the source of an image.
In Firefox, you will need to use document.getElementById, or one of the other functions possible getElement (s).

As you are referring to the element current, easier is to use this "selector.

     <img id="home" name="img_home" src="hover/home_default.png" alt="Home" onmouseover="this.src = 'home_over.png'" onmouseout="this.src='home_default.png'" />
