  What version you put in?

  In the Organizer, what view do you - use in the display menu is details checked, or unchecked - t - it make a difference?

  On the view menu, select media types - are all verified?

  Menu, select hidden - files is in view - show all files audited?

  I assume you're in the media view, what happens if you select the places people or events?

  Is there a quick batch processing to update the content of the organizer for all the images that have been renamed, deleted, or moved to different folders?

  Well, if such a quick batch process existed, you would not find that the golden rule of the Organizer if repeated frequently.

  In fact it is not specific to the Organizer, it is a necessity for the management of digital assets of catalogues; The same goes for Lightroom.

  What is fast is to reconnect a batch of images that come to be moved and even renamed.

  It's quick to remove from the catalog image files that have been deleted outside the Organizer entries.

  If you have a lot of files renamed, deleted or moved, you can consider from scratch with a new catalog.

  Looking for the location of the folder catalog in menu help/information system (Mac or Win).

  The catalogue is any of the folder containing the database and its associated files, such as the cache thumbnails.

  Download a catalog to a cloud makes sense as a backup, but you can't use it since it contains no images.

  It's true in general, but there may be good reasons to separate your files in different folders or different disks and volumes. If you have your photos on multiple disks, you can keep a single catalog and manage everything. It's perhaps a good solution to get more disk space.

  With the Organizer, you also have the choice to separate your photos in different catalogues. It is a choice with the following main rules:

  -different catalogs are ok (and recommended) for totally different activities (personal professional vs...)

  -different catalogs are NOT the solution to work faster. Size of the catalogue is negligible for speed.

  -You can easily merge or split catalogs.

  I should also mention that if you have reasons to prefer a folder with a navigation software organization, you can use Adobe Bridge:

• Deleting files in PSE-Organizer

  Hello

  I have 2 questions about the treatment of the image files in the PSE Organizer.

  When I want to reduce a large number of photos of holiday that is after (800 and more), I use the Organizer to get a quick overview of the shots that are immediately deleted.

  Unfortunately, every single deletion process must be confirmed when the intention is to remove the pictures of the catalogue and the hard drive. You must activate a check box every time! I would like to know if it is possible to remove the action of this message and a checkbox.

  The second problem I have is that sometimes (not everytime!) when I remove some photos in the Organizer, this action will move the view for the first picture again once there scroll down again after the last selected pictures. For example, I have 700 photos, attach photos, 511, 512 and 516 I then delete the Organizer could do but go back to photo 1. So I have to scroll to image 517 to resume my good and bad material selections. This can be very soul-murder with 700 photos and maybe 200 to remove ;-)

  Someone knows how to help me with these 2 problems.

  It is not possible to set a default value for the checkbox (bad design by Adobe).  However, here is a workaround:

  Change to delete files as hidden using Mark > visibility > Mark as hidden (ALT + F2).  When you're one, examine all the hidden files by doing View > show hidden files only. Then edition > all select and delete all at once.

  If you already use cookies for other purposes, you can use a legend instead, although it is not fast enough to drag a tag for the photo by typing ALT + F2 (but always faster than that to wait for the dialog box remove interminably slow).

  I got PSE Organizer 13 last year and returned to Amazon (refund) when I couldn't plan to appear.

  Last week, I got my courage to try again. I downloaded PES 13 and still there is no card. I can not put place names either.

• PSE Organizer 12 crashes constantly after the film project in first 12

  I have PSE 12 time Organizer and first. I finished a film project after all first programme of work up to a slide show in the Organizer, but when I tried to burn my dvd does not recognize my burner (which is HL-DT-ST GH24NS50 SC if of LG) so I burned in a folder. Then I tried to burn with Windows DVD maker and burner of Wondershare video which none recognized the files containing the titles of movies & scene intro-s. A 2nd problem has also developed during the process of completion of the project. Now my PSE Organizer crashes as soon as it loads the media, so I am now virtually locked out of my photos. The only new files added to the organizer since I started this project are those who come first i.e. stories etc. Can anyone suggest a way to fix these problems. Thank you

  Thank you for your response. I downloaded Image burn but have not yet had the opportunity to try it. I'll try it out tomorrow so to try to get the first to recognize my drive that is faster and up to date.

  My computer is a computer of Windows 7 64 bit with 8 GB of RAM and loads of free disk space. I suspect my programs are still the original 12 version, but I tried to invoke any update in the past. It seems that they must not have worked.

  On the problem of the Organizer, I deleted the psa.prf file you suggested but who could not make all the difference: the program quits immediately after its launch. It is still not open long enough for me to create a new catalog.

  You have any other suggestions? And thanks again for your help so far.

• Another upgrade of the PSE 5 to 10.

  I read the question regarding the upgrade from 5 to 10 step a new computer as well as the PSE upgrade: I'm upgrading without changing computers and I was wondering if I should do something special before start?   I started to volunteer for a non-profit organization, and that they meet the conditions for participation from Adobe making PES 10 available for download at a discount to nonprofit, so I'll have some downloaded files from Adobe for installation.

  #1-do I need to uninstall 5 before installing 10?

  #2-10 will recognize the catalogues, folders and the files that currently exist on my system for PSE 5?

  Since the special pricing is only for a downloadable version, is #3-possible to get a manual for the use of PES 10 somewhere?  Maybe even a download PDF version?

  1. N ° it is a very good idea to first use PSE5 to do the equivalent to repair and optimize the catalog.
  2. Yes and the PSE10 will offer the catalog upgrade to the new version.
  3. PSE10, press F1 to open the help file (in line). In the upper right corner, there will be an icon «View as PDF» Click it, and then save the PDF file on the hard drive.

• Can I transfer my itunes/app purchases to a Google account on behalf of the family Organizer? Or make an account abroad the family Organizer?

  Unfortunately, a long time ago that I have set up my Itunes purchases wuth my gmail account. I didn't have a Mac at the time.  I spoke with technical support on this issue dates back to 10.7. I had and now have an e-mail icloud account, but all my app and itunes purchases are attached to a gmail account. At this time Apple told me to just keep everything separate. In fact, I'm sure you have noticed, during the installation of OSX, it asks you if you have different accounts and it's installation based on this scenario.

  Fast forward to 2015-2016 where my Icloud account is family Organizer and new purchases pass under this account. I want to ask the question again, is it possible to change my Itunes and App store purchases to an icloud account in the account of the family Organizer, which is used for purchases? I know that I can easily put my Itunes media in the cloud under the account of the family Organizer, but it will not recognize as purchases.  If Apple would allow an e-mail account foreign to be the family Organizer will arrange my problem. I also realize the House sharing can be used for each Member of my family's Itunes purchases. But home sharing does not work for apps, right?

  There is an "Edit subscription" page in the app store, where can I sign up my google account to a family membership. This will allow the google account to then become the family Organizer?

• Bookmarks menu doesn't have the option "organize bookmarks" in displauy.

  Among the small icons - rightmost - in "show all bookmarks" is an import-export. Place your cursor on them and it will say what it is.

• Registration issues of the meta data to image in the menu Organizer file

  I've been test Organizer to 14 items in replacement of the Windows Photo Gallery.  I like the product a lot, but I am concerned about the way that it is saving metadata back to the image file, which for me is essential.

  When I save the metadata in the image file, I then test it by removing the connection from the menu Organizer while keeping the file in its original location.  I then re-import the file to see if the metadata is intact.  It turns out that keywords and caption are fine, but not the tags people.  What came out as beacons of people with locations of the people in the photo is such that people tags have been converted to keywords, and the location information of people are completely missing.  For me, this is unacceptable, because it means that if I do things with the file outside the connection to the host catalog so that data is lost forever.

  If others have found to be true?  Am I correct in what's going on here?  If Adobe is listening here, this is a problem and something that must be solved in the future?  Again, I like the product, but it is a critical question that will prevent me from implementing for my needs.

  Marking of the people is too important for me to trust an automated process, family history or genealogy.

  I'm very 'old school' (which means effective) and I don't use legends to this end, unless I am dealing with a few people. Furthermore, the Organizer is incredibly fast in search of people by their names included in a legend.

  The path of the 'old school' when you have a group photo (weddings...) is to create a note, not a legend. Same ease as legend to extract a single name of a group of 50.

  And this makes my "skinny" catalog, it's faster and with much less risk of corruption.
