  I'm going to do tests on the E-Business Suite applications using Oracle Application Testing Suite of performance. I used it for the Siebel load earlier tests, but never for E-Business applications.   Nothing to do on the side of the EBS.
  Compare to Siebel, load tests using more memory agent, don't expect not to run too SAW with a single agent. So depending on the number max of SAW, you must properly size your CA.
  Linux is a more scalable system to manage the memory usage. (you can not do that with siebel since the lib of correlation must run on windows).
  According to the script (web or forms, mix, short or long), you will be probably limited to 200/300 users per agent.

  I have this same issue and check the settings of datasouces/jndi in weblogic, I had an error with my jdbc url that prevents the connection to start and then pool the jndi was created.

  Oracle Applications 11i (11.5.10.2) comes with Oracle 9i database. However, you can upgrade the database to 10g / 11g.

  Can some guide me through the installation of the EBS R 12.0.4 on RHEL 5.1 platform.
  
  R12 (I mean 12.0.4) is compatible with RHEL 5.1 (update 1)-(Advanced Server (or) base platform)? Please answer this ASAP because I have an urgent need.
  
  I am following the guide to install R12 and Metalink Note: 402310.1.
  
  Also let me know what is the database version comes with 12.0.4 Media pack? (I have one that is the reason why I post this question).
  
  It will be very useful to me if I get these details as soon as possible. I came across a thread that discusses that there is a problem with this combination.

  It's 10 gr 2 as shown above. Please note that the R12 is also certified with 11 GR 1 material. Database is not delivered separately, means that you do not have to install the database before installing the application. Database will be installed as part of installing the application by Rapidwiz.

  Yes it is possible. One option is to use DNS (Domain Name) server aliases.

  OID is integrated successfully with Oracle E-Business Suite. Administrator as SYSADMIN, COMMENTS are able to login and access E-Business Suite with the redirected OID/SSO login Page. These users are migrated under OU = Finance, OU = employees, dc = myorg, dc = com via the load utility bulk OID.
  
  Via the OIDDAS Console (http:// < myorg >: 7777/oiddas), under Setup tab-> add an entry for OU = Finance, or = employees, dc = myorg, dc = com for the basis of creating users. OID administrator created a new user (i.e. the user fintest) under finance container through the console of OIDDAS and the same user is implemented in E-Business Suite Database under table FND_USER provided with a Globally Unique Identifier.
  
  (1) user created through the OIDDAS console will launch and access E-Business Suite URL (http:// < myorg >: 8000)
  (2) page of redirect OID/SSO Login appears.
  (3) fintest user will provide required login and password value to connect.
  (4) E-Business Suite homepage will be displayed for users fintest.
  
  I had a UI presentation layer where Oracle Access Manager is installed with the Server LDAP OID. Created a new workflow user finance Molok (OU = Finance, OU = employees, dc = myorg, dc = com). OAM administrator has created a new user (i.e. the user fintest2) under Finance container through workflows OAM and the same user is not supplied with E-Business Suite Database under table FND_USER provided with a Globally Unique Identifier.
  
  (1) user created through Workflows OAM will launch and access E-Business Suite URL (http:// < myorg >: 8000)
  (2) page of redirect OID/SSO Login appears.
  (3) fintest2 the user will provide required login and password value to connect.
  (4) in E-Business Suite oracle has not been linked with the Single-Sign-On account in place and place the homepage of E-Business.
  
  Note: We do not expect to make integration with OAM with Oracle E-Business Suite.
  
  Has anyone faced this kind of question. Please let me know your pointers.

• HOWTO: install Oracle database software in a new oracle home

  Hallo,

  I approach my first upgrade of database Oracle 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.4 I want to perform a manual upgrade.

  The first step (after download and extract the files from the zip in a folder) is "to install the software in a new oracle home.

  I think that the setup.exe to launch is that of folder/database/setup.exe

  the installer give me 3 choices:

  -create and configure a new database

  -install database software only

  -to upgrade an existing database

  To create the oracle new house I just set the path to install in a different folder, is it not?
