  I wonder where I should post the bug reports and suggestions for BB8900? I think that we have already found several bugs enjoyable device it is, but I've never seen any work email address to send these discoveries. I have also some proposals to improve the BB8900 features, making it even more attractive with minimal effort. We can actually open a new thread here and I can start posting bugs that I knew, but I'm not sure that everyone from RIM never reads these postings. All good ideas?   I recently had my curve 9300 OS 5, I know that there is a setting somewhere that you can stop the bbm messages pass where I get emails. I stopped both times, before the upgrade after upgrade to 6 and 6. Now I can't find where it is. Can someone please?

  Also, when I went down to the OS 5, I went out with version 5.0.0 how can I check for a later version of 5?

  While you are in BlackBerry Messenger hit the menu key and choose options here you should see an option that says "Show cats in app Messages".

  This is my first blackberry - the Tower, and I like it so far!  Today I received an SMS and when I clicked on the "Messages" icon there was no message...  But when I clicked on the "SMS and MMS icon" message appeared.  I'm a bit confused - I thought that the 'Message' icon is where all text messages go when you receive them except e-mail...?  I like to have my email messages between my text on the home screen messages I have the email icon and the icon messages.  Can someone explain to me what is happening?  Thank you.

  In most cases, SMS = SMS... but you can never be sure that someone other real word significance or another (I know some people who consider the BBM to text Messages... which, in a sense, it is... so, it is always best to refer to the effective application). But, if I understand you correctly, your text Messages (SMS and MMS) appears only in this specific icon/app and appear not in the main Messages application/icon. If you change the parameters in Messages, you can merge them into Messages and remove the SMS/MMS icon.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 9810 AT & T - emergency Messages Options?

• Contacts of Smartphones blackBerry not accounted for SMS if battery removed

  Hello.

  My Bold 9700 is not properly recognizing the contact person for SMS messages. But it's a different problem that others have described. When I receive a message, it shows the name of the contact properly (which was the other problem had I think).

  But then if I turn off the bb and remove the battery, then replace it and re - turn the phone on, none of the SMS messages have contact names appropriate - it just shows their phone number or their name if I stored them on my SIM. What's more, this problem only occurs if the contact phone number is stored with spaces and media in [that is to say, + 64 (21) xxx xxx].

  I realize account I could cross and all add to my SIM card or remove brackets and spaces of phone numbers of contacts but

  (a) it was not a problem before (on the 8310 and 8520) must be able to be fixed

  (b) my SIM card does not in any case all my contacts

  (c) telephone numbers are difficult to read without spaces and media

  (d) it is such a waste of time!

  My software version is 5.0.0.344 (which is in fact more late than I can download!)

  Yes, it IS the same problem that others had on the same version of operating system you are on. Exactly the same thing.

  The official release to most recent update of the operating system solves this problem.

• Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager - several SMS messages?

  Nobody knows why, I have over 2,000 messages SMS, when I go in the DTM, backup and restore advanced?  I don't have any SMS on my BB.  I can delete this area and if so, does that affect anything?

  Your SMS are not saved in the Desktop Manager. What you see when you connect to DM > Backup/Restore > advanced IN the right pane is your SMS to the device database.

  The left side is your backup file on your PC.

  It is probably a very simple question, but how do I remove unwanted display icons?

  Well, you can't remove them, but you can hide them.

  For the things I don't want, I create a "Junk E-mail" folder  This by pressing the BB menu in screen the applications button, then select "add a folder".

  Once you have your new folder, move the cursor over each icon you want more to see, press the BB menu button and select "Move to folder".  That brings up a list of available folders.  Move them to the junk e-mail folder.

  Once you have all moved to the junk e-mail folder, move the cursor over the folder, press the BB menu button and select "hide."  Which places it in the context where you will forget no question about that.

  If you ever want to see it again, in the form of applications, press the BB menu key and select 'show all '.  This will show you everything that is hidden, slightly grey.  To hide again, uncheck show all.

• Smartphones blackBerry-icons of lack?

  I have a brand new Blackberry Bold 9700 - just he started upward.  I have configured the synchronization with Outlook and everything went well.  The Device Manager log shows that the data Memo Pad has been transferred to the device.  But I can't find the Memo Pad icon (or the task icon or icon search...)  I've looked everywhere.

  Read the other posts, it seems that I might have to reinstall the operating system of the device.  Is this the case?

  If so, it's pretty discouraging to have to do with a whole new BB.  What could have caused this?

  Hi and welcome to the Forums!

  Might have moved the icons in a different folder - search anywhere.

  You might have hidden icons - view all of the icons and see if they are there.

  You might had a theme which removes the icons - fall back to the default theme and see if him reappear.

  Look in your list of installed applications - if the apps are there, then they are installed and one of the two above may apply.

  You should not have to perform a complete reinstallation - you should be able to add these applications via the Destkop Manager program (if they are not installed).
