E260 and Rhapsody To Go

I can't allow my e260 with Rhapsody.  In MTP mode it just appears - in computer work or Rhapsody window.  However, when it is in MSC mode, it appears in both, just that I can't allow him to Rhapsody.

Yes, my computer is allowed.

We had the account for a while and this is the first time that I had a problem with it.

Bob, let me thank you.  I followed your instructions and I'm back to good.  If I could, I would buy you a beer.

I apologize if this has been asked and replied. I looked for this olver all the net and saw different responses.  I'm looking for a MP3 player for my wife, but she needs LOTS of storage.  I really think that she would want the sansa, but I know that she needs more than 8 GB of space.  You can use the micro sd card with Rhapsody-to-go subscription files?

    Thank you!!!

With the sansa fuze, Yes.  You will be able to transfer securities from subscription to the map.

However, the songs work only with the player that you synchronize with... for example if you have two sansa fuze and synchronize you the songs to the card using the fuze1, the songs on the card will not play when you use the card on fuze2.

  • Fuze and Rhapsody

Hey, I ordered my rocket online and did not receive a CD that was supposed to come with her. My friend has a Sansa Fuze and it had an icon on the main menu that says Rhpasody To Go.

    1. What is Rhapsody To Go?

    2. How can I get Rhapsody To Go to my sansa fuze?

The Rhapsody service is a great way to explore new music, without limitation to purchase individual albums.

You don't need the mini-CD, simply try the trial version described here.  The Rhapsody client (the program that runs on your computer) has recently been amended and improved, getting with the new customer for sure.

RealNetworks has chosen a name confusing for service 'portable', the titles that you can download to your Sansa.  It is the Rhapsody To Go service.  The unlimited service simply refers to unlimited access on your PC.  Note that a single account allows you to use three devices, which is very nice.  I have a wife and three daughters, so I have multiple accounts.  As fast as change their taste in music, I'm happy are exempt download fees.

  • Problems of sound quality with my Sansa Clip and Rhapsody subscription titles

I'm at my wits end here. This last Christmas, I bought a black 4 GB Sansa Clip for me. About two weeks after I bought it, I got a low-memory error to create a database. I've reformatted the drive, transferred songs and everything worked fine... for a week. Then I got the same error message that he died completely. As in it would not turn on at all, even connected to my PC.

I brought instead buy one leave and received a replacement. Now it will not play long pieces of subscription Rhapsody without a slight distortion starting about 13-14 minutes in and continuing to the end of the track.

I did not have this problem with the first Clip.

I don't have this problem with securities that I torn and transferred.

I don't have this problem with my c250.

I have this problem with my 4 GB Clip son cash. However in addition to the simple to burst I get with my Clip, the music also sounds distorted, with large legs on her.

I already have the routine of songs and dances for Rhapsody. I have also updated the firmware of these two Clips Sansa to v02.01.32a, tried to transfer using two different USB cables and several USB ports on my computer. The only thing I have not done is reformat the thing. After having to transfer 600 + tracks 3 times in two months, I am rather hesitant in doing so.

Anyone, please, help me solve this problem?

Ah, we'll add some gloss of your clusters.

The your Clip file allocation table a wee 4 KB clusters.  Since you have a 4 GB device, this FAT is big enough.

Decoding of the Rhapsody tracks requires some supercomputers, being secure to 160 Kbps wma files.  The Clip is responsible for finding the next block of data, but it must focus on this huge FAT.

    The solution is simple!

Turn on your trusty Clip.  Go to settings > Format > Yes.  This reformatted the device with 32 KB clusters, optimized for the Sansa.

Please note that this will delete all existing music to your Sansa, and you will need to reload.

On the other side of the coin, you will hear now own sounding music!

If you format from Windows, it has the bad habit of formatting with teeny 4 KB clusters - and stuttering that results will make you crazy.  If you format Windows, ALWAYS follow-up with a format on the device via the parameters.

  • Rhapsody to go playlist and transfer ASSISTANCE!

OK, I'm new to this warning if... My drive was working fine, I had no problems transferring my playlists on my player and then suddenly yesterday everything went straight to h * ll! Initially, I was able to transfer a playlist, but it has appeared as "New Playlist" not what I named it. Now, nothing is going to transfer. Rhapsody's going to say '2 transfer of 30... '. 12 min remaining"However it will say that for hours and hours and hours! I tried to reformat, defining the modes usb, erasing all settings factory reset and everything else I've read these tips. I tried at least a hundred different ways and still nothing. I now empty music player and rhapsody says it transfers but is not. Anyone previously met and someone has a solution for I can put my music on my player. I'm so frustrated right now, and there seems to be no hope in sight. Help, please!

This happened to me too a few months back.

It would take hours just to transfer some songs.

What I did to fix it was Rhapsody go to tools > Preferences > my library

Then choose 'Download tracks on hard drive' rather than «add tracks as stream only»

    This should speed up.

  • Equalizer view on E260 V1

Hello... received my new 4 GB E260 v1 of J & R for $59 and loving it so far. But today, when I tried to rename some MP3s under MTP mode when connected to my computer, my restarted and re-connected drive itself. I think I should do with Rapsody program. Also, how can we keep the equalizer animated on the screen instead of the time tracking of a song? He looks just treated with the equalizer. BTW I didn't know there was a player of v2 E260 and it's a bit stupid that you can only extend an extra 2 GB for this drive using a micro sd card. I wanted to be able to use at least 4 GB without adding Rockbox or another program to use. Thanks for any response.

Rename the files won't matter insofar as the way in which they are displayed on the Sansa.  This, to a program called mp3tag to edit the id3 (artist, title, etc.) tags.  For best results use id3v2.3 iso-8859-1 format.

My restarted and re-connected drive itself. I think I should do with Rapsody program.

You have not need Rhapsody or any other program, for that matter, to transfer files to your player.  Put it in MSC mode and just drag and drop the files you want to the player.

Also, how can we keep the equalizer animated on the screen instead of the time tracking of a song? He looks just treated with the equalizer.

Can't do as far as I know.  It jumps automatically while playing screen after a few seconds.

    BTW I didn't know that he was a player of v2 E260

Since there is really no way to tell the difference without out of the box and check the firmware version it really would not help to know, there is a v2.  What I've read, Sandisk has ceased production of the players e200 series.  Smiley: musiclay: taps, I guess they must have had some models v1 in storage and shipped out after all of the v2 disappeared?  It seems that a lot of people get players v1 now when all new players sold were mainly players v2 lately.

And it's a bit stupid that you can only extend an extra 2 GB for this drive using a micro sd card.

Not really stupid, exactly - stupid maybe.  The v1 were made before the hc (high capacity) micro sd specification is released.  There was no way for Sandisk make players compatible with technology v1 which had not yet been developed.  Madness of of them, however, do not have produced a firmware update that would give players v1 compatibility hc.  This is probably the biggest v1 gripe owners will have to with Sandisk.  May he be blessed with many happy returns.

I wanted to be able to use at least 4 GB without adding Rockbox or another program to use.

The Rolling Stones had a song there are a few decades that have something like this:

"You can't always get what you want.  No, no, you can not always get what you want.  I said, you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you might just find, you get what you need. »

I wonder if the generations a day where people will look back at modern pop stars like great philosophers?  What a lark that would be.  In any case, old Mick makes a little sense.  You can't get what you want: native support for µSDHC support, but you can get what you need: Rockbox - and it's free.

    Thanks for any response.

  • Download the Rhapsody to new clipzip

Bought yesterday and the info from disc said that downloading is the only way to activate all of the features on the player. If my drive has the latest firmware is it necessary?

Latest version Windos Media player and Rhapsody are necessary for copyrighted music and I believe for disorder playlists for free. However, it isn't really hard to make the playlists by other means, I like winamp but there are others.

The General wisdom is if you use not purchased, music protected, switch the player to MSC mode and use windows Explorer to drag-and - drop or copy music in the folder music unit or a micro card. For the albums just drag the full album. I'm limited by levels of folders to the right level but nesting is possible. For best results use mp3tag or similar to tag all the files correctly.

  • Sana e260 will not appear.

    Hello

Like many here I formatted my Sansa e260 and quite accidentally in NTFS. When I am home, I tried to put music, after safely removing the device the player gave me 'not enough space for music DB. "Please free 6 mb ' message. I know that I have to format it in FAT - 32 again and I'll have to put the firmware in there, but when I connected to my computer once again, he refused to appear.

I've set it to both of the MTP and MSC and tried both ways, when PSG is on the "player is to not install correctly" and MSC does not give me a boo anything. In short it will not be displayed at all ever now under 'my computer', while if I check in Manager and find the device, it is connected. but a 0 space at all on this subject. as if it isn't actually a to all removable storage device.

I wonder how I'll reformat and bring the thing back to life. Is this possible or am I just wasting my time and now have to buy a new player?

    KeeganPenney wrote:

I don't know which, where information would be found on the drive? The 'version' on the news of the player (because it works a little longer) bed "Version 01.02.18A" the player was bought in 2008, according to me, if that's any help.

This confirms that you have a model/version v1.

See this post on the use of the Mode of recovery and create the file "sansa.fmt". I hope it will work for you.

  • Photos and video on the SD card

I just got my e260 and edition special 2 GB micro sd.  I've been playing with all the features and I found a problem.

The standard question Media Converter is not saving for anything other than the mp3 player.  I tried to save the player, then transfer them manually, but that has not worked.  So, nobody how to record on the map?  Will there be another converter for?

What version of Firmware you have?
    (See the FAQ e200 series)

If you have a 'version1' drive, you CAN NOT play videos or pictures to the MicroSD card. (Unless you install and use Rockbox. So you do not use SCM to convert movies...)

  • Windows 7 and 8 gig Clip

I've upgraded to Windows 7 a few weeks ago. Well, today when I plug my 8gig clip itinstalled a new driver and then is no longer works with Rhapsody to go. I check for a reason, and he said: I am running Windows 6.1, and it does not support Sansa Clip. My 4 GB works fine. Any thoughts? I have been using Sansa and Rhapsody together since January with no problems. Now Rhapsody do not recognize. I tried to remove the clip and then it reauthorize but he won't so now it's just a clip of unauthorized concert, not supported poor baby 8! Any thoughts?

I searched for firmware updates and found nothing.

I fixed it! I just looked on the 4 GB and 8 GB to see if something was different, and I saw the concert, 4 was in mode "auto detect" then the 8 gig was in MSC. I switched the 8 GB to "automatic detection" and everything works again! bI must have accidentally powered or something. Praise the Lord, I did not buy another Sansa... yet!

  • Cannot delete files and music always there but not display upward when I connect to the computer?

    Hi all

Recently, I had a lot of problems with the music does not or don't play not I decided to delete all my e260 music and start again.  That's where the real problem started.

For some reason I can't delete three of the albums on my player.  Each of the albums have what appear to be corrupted in them files. My computer does not recognize the file type and file extension is given so I don't know what they are.  Each file "appears" to 4 GB in size but that may not be appropriate for my e260 is obviously only 4 GB in size!

Whenever I try to delete them I get an error message reading "cannot delete file: cannot read the source file or disc»

I tried to update the firmware, reset e260 to factory default settings and made 'restore' thingy (where you hold registration and plug it into the computer, etc.) and these files are still there.

After reading this thing of disk checking on this forum, I did this.  I was then able to remove two of the albums, but when I tried to delete the third album renamed 'a' and the damaged file shows 0 bytes in size, but I still can not remove.  However, I can move it to the folder music to any other folder.  I just can not remove!  When I do, I get an error message saying "cannot delete f: cannot find the file specified. '.  Be sure to only specify the path and the correct name.

After all that I started my e260, and now I find that 2 other albums are always on it, even if they do not display any where when I connect it to the computer.  I can see and read these albums on the drive, and they seem well, they do not appear to be there when I plug it into the computer and look for them in windows Explorer.  The music folder is not hidden also.  These two albums are not part 3 albums that I could not remove, they are actually part of the new substance started sort of all these problems with the music does not and is not only now that they are the display upwards and play but are not appear when connected to the computer!

I know it's probably not a lot of information but can someone tell me how to fix this?  If not, can I just format the * bleep * thing or I'll then have an e260 dead?

    See you soon,.

    PKFFW

PS: Sorry for the long windedness of this post.

Format will not remove the firmware, which is the operating system of the Sansa. It removes only the content that you have added. It will go back to what it was when it was new out of the box.

MTP does not matter if you have never used it. The ghost album can be just a list remains in your database file. Nevertheless, we must get rid of this corrupt file, so Format is probably your best option.

For what it's worth, to connect with the PSG, your computer needs Windows Media Player 10 or 11 is installed. XP comes with WMP 9, so he will not see the Sansa in MTP mode. unless you have updated.

  • E260 - deletion of files on the drive, if it is not seen on computer - PSG

Sorry if this has been addressed and it seems to me that I looked through many posts and textbooks without a specific response to my problem.

I have only used Windows Media Player 11.  I download songs on my computer, and only using MTP mode, I drag and drop the songs in folder my music in my Sansa e260.  For some reason, 3 albums give me such trouble.  They do not play, then I deleted from the e260 and re-slipped and fell out of my music.  Now, there are double songs for these specific albums.  A song works and the song another, exactly, is a "wrong track."  I have since deleted completely my e260 albums, but they remain on the interface when I look in my albums.

How can I get rid of them for good (so that I can drop and drag them as they were new)?  Note that in MTP mode, it does not automatically sync for me - I stop this immediately.  In addition, I don't have an option "Remove song" in my music on the e260 options.

    Thanks in advance.

For the 'wrong way' problem, try chkdsk mode MSC and MTP (I don't know if it'll work at PSG).

For bad ads, view records in MSC mode and delete the DATA folder located in the SYSTEM folder. That will erase the database, the index, which the Sansa's files, and it will build a new database of records that you have not deleted.

  • New Sansa e260 will not light

    Hello

I just got my new sansa e260 and after it loads for a day and a half, it not light. I tried to hold the power button for a long time, but it would not turn. When connected to a pc, it says 'connected' and shows that the battery is charging. I can browse files, etc. However, if I unplug the PC, it goes dead.

I tried to update the firmware, but it fails. I changed the settings of the MTP to MSC USB device with no luck!

Any idea what's going on? All the solutions out there for this issue?

If you just bought the camera, it is often simpler to contact the vendor for an Exchange, as most have a return policy that covers just this kind of question.

Because it is often faster and more convenient for the customer, SanDisk recommends this solution first of all, in the interest of you up and running quickly.  The retailer can then send the device to SanDisk on their end.

The process of return of SanDisk is great, they pay even the return shipping costs.  The only downside is that it can take a few weeks (total).

  • E260 will not connect to the converter

When I plug my e260 and open the Sansa Media Converter, it tells me there is no available player and please connect my player. I don't understand why the converter will not pick up my mp3 it just stopped once when I wanted to put more music on this subject. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the converter, but that does no good.

Finally, I read the usermanual today and her say a word on the drive with the firmware update, so it works correctly. Could it be the problem? Do I need to insall the firmware to fix it, or is this not the problem? I'm naïve about this stuff so I don't know what to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It may be useful to get the new converter from here.

The version of ArcSoft was bad Sansa embarks a converter by Intervideo.

When install you a new one, first see if it connects. If not, go to Settings/Info/USB Mode and switch to the other mode. (If it's in MTP, switch to MSC, or vice versa.)

In addition, check and see which version of Windows Media Player is on your computer. (Right click on everything). If it is 9, go to Microsoft and get a newer version than the Sansa needs. Try this link.

It may be not the right one for your computer, so if she does not have a Windows Media Player, go back to the home page of the Support of Micro$ oft and look in the downloads for Windows Media Player 11. I think that the Microsoft site automatically checks the operating system of your computer to give you the right WMP.
