E3000 optimization settings

I have correctly configured my E3000.  I have separate names and keys for 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz.  I use on my Xbox children on the 5 and all the rest of 2.4.

I was impressed by the range of the 2.4.  I've seen a few threads with recommendations to improve the range, but some of the threads appear to contain different settings.

Are there settings that can be modified to increase the range of the 2.4?  Thank you.

You can follow the parameters mentioned in your post these settings will definitely help you improve the reach Wireless 2.4 GHz network and I do not think that these will be the 5 GHz signal effect.

This is for a new image.

I often make screenshots and save them as PNG24, and this is what awaits me whenever I'm doing a new image. It is also the image format that I get when I do a slice, quite simply because it is the last format I exported to.

I agree with you, however. I wish that it there a way to set / alternative by default, rather than depend on "what made you the last one," because it is not very reliable.

  • Delete Pages, size of the file, PDF Optimizer Clean Up

Using Acrobat 9 Pro (for Windows, if that makes a difference).

I have a page 148 PDF of a magazine, about 58 MB in size.

I deleted 40 pages of ads, leaving just the useful content.

The size of the file is always about 58 MB.

When I run advanced-> optimization PDF

the file size down to about 47 MB.

The optimizer settings don't seem to matter.

Even with just 'Clean Up' selected, all options unchecked,

and Compression, the value 'Leave unchanged Compression'

the file size is further reduced.

I tried several other publishers of PDF with tools,

and none of them reduce the size of the file after you remove the 40 pages

even using their functions 'optimize' or 'compress '.

Can someone explain why deleting pages does not reduce the size of the file

and that fact optimizer (who do not have other tools)

to reduce the size of the file?

    Thank you

  • Satellite A200 - annoying vibrations

Just recently got a Satellite A200-27R of Comet. Laptop works fine but the level of vibration passing through the keyboard and palm rest is very annoying.
Everyone knows about the same problem with this model?

I guess it's down to the Fujitsu HD, but was wondering if anyone had a cure for it because it is a real problem, returning to the Comet with all extra has been installed and all uninstalled rubbish!

I have Satellite A200 almost a year now and I really don't understand what kind of vibration you speak. My Satellite is quiet, has no vibration, and I'm really happy with it. The only thing I don't like is performance graphics card, but that's another story. Can you please so kind and try to explain this vibration?

Please don't be crazy on me, but it seems to be that you're a guy who is always something that can be better. On the one hand, you have written about 0 noise on laptop wives having fun and now you want to accelerate the cooling fan. I wonder just why? Is your portable hot or what? The cooling fan speed is controlled automatically by sensors on the motherboard and there is no option for manual settings.

  • HPE h8-1300z AMD (AG2) CTO: BIOS updates

I get errors in the case where the viewer that points to the firmware updates that are not available.

Seems that I bought a model desktop computer that was removed from the line up, just after that he was released. My machine was released in 6/2012 (bought mine in 7/2012) and went through 12/2012.

This is why when I try to find updates for the software, there is none, as well as questions about the BIOS updates that do not exist.

That is the problem. I already went to support HP software update page and has been properly using my model number and serial number and downloaded and installed several updated to find that it was not for my pc. The problem being HP offered so many different types of this particular model was a type of 'Customer To Order. All updates are so hit or miss due to different types. NVIDIA as opposed to ATI - AMD, Intel, as opposed to AMD and on the line is the differences in motherboards, hard disks, LAN cards and it goes on and on. So, instead of being able to stem what model gets what it ends up being a guessing game. I am aware of the differences of GPU and CPU but uses this to emphasise that it is confusing, not only for me but it seems HP to find which refers exactly to my bench.

I made the mistake of trying to install an update of the BIOS that was listed for my pc see it is bad that did not take long to understand it fried my machine one should be fired and replaced by HP under warranty. I am out of warranty now and am stuck with trying to find in the section Support, which refers exactly.

The Question? : - I have no chance or HP plans, on the road, to keep updates on these older models. Seems I got a machine that was a little bit late, just like the models of Windows 8 were charged and there was no decline more motherboard I have is proprietery even if it is not made by Gigabyte, after contacting them they have no idea what my MB or if there are updates to the BIOS.  I spoke with a representative from HP repair when I had to send it in last summer and said "off the cuff" well "you may need to get an another MB and of course which will void your warranty. Imagine that felt.

A warning I made an update of the chipset and it slowed my machine in his reading and writing speeds and ended up having to uninstall the IDE drivers / ATA and let Windows install a generic SATA driver to get speeds in paragraph... for some reason any I find this right on the edge of the unacceptable to HP.

Sorry, Big Dave, but you're wrong. First reading of Scripture & speeds were half of what they were supposed to be, then using three types of disc utilities including all the three said methods of transfer of 300 GB rather than the 600 GB transfer modes. Even the s HDD tray case showing in these modes. Update the firmware on the Samsung magician update not due to lower transfer mode that has been reported by the OEM. Its software said you are in AHCI mode, but you're NOT in mode SATA III.

Only by uninstalling the SATA controller AMD was I could join SATA III speeds that all three utilities confirmed and was able to run the Software Wizard and finishing of optimization settings.  Sequential transmissions went from 255.3/116.4 to 453.5/138.5 and btw I had a long telephone conversation with Samsung and their people said I was getting speeds SATA II and that it was said by the guys from reps/repair of HP in Tennessee themselves than those speeds where SATA II speeds also. Do not make any assumptions.

I found an updated BIOS to start with and unfortunately found that listed for my only disabled MB MB. The SSD itself is fine. Here are registry settings changes from 3 to 0 then started to the BIOS and change the setting from AHCI RAID storage

    REG ADD HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\msahci /v start d 0 /f /t REG_DWORD
    REG ADD HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi /v start d 0 /f /t REG_DWORD
    REG ADD HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\amdsata /v start d 0 /f /t REG_DWORD
    REG ADD HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\nvstor /v start d 0 /f /t REG_DWORD
    REG ADD HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\nvraid /v start d 0 /f /t REG_DWORD
    REG ADD HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iaStor /v start d 0 /f /t REG_DWORD

When you restart, windows does the rest.

  • RAM under Windows 7 x 64 bit

So I was playing game (gta v) recently on my computer and for some reason that the game was horrible for my decent to high-end card (gtx 970 and amd 8350 stock)... after turning down all the settings, the problem persists, I went into the Task Manager, while the game has been launched and I noticed it says there was only 4052 MB of available RAM , I have revenge corsair 8 gb ddr3 RAM (2x4gb) both sticks are completely wired and connected correctly, I checked carefully. I restarted my computer to start in the UEFI BIOS to check that the two sticks are recognized and the two sticks are recognized, so I checked if it was something wrong with my OS. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium x 64, which limits the amount of RAM to 16 GB so I checked to make sure that my os was x 64 running who it was but it still uses only 4 GB of RAM as if it were x 86... why, then, how can I fix it?

-Windows memory management is a bit complex. I have not studied all the s and off and I never really checked how much system RAM is cached, or otherwise used when a game has been loaded, but basically...

Caching RAM is not lost, not recognized or "hide away".  Caching RAM is in use, but not necessarily active.

Programs of the data cache in RAM for fast access.

Super fetch is a Windows mechanism that caches data for frequently used programs, but the cached data will be deleted / redness if more RAM is required by and active program, such as GTA5.

It may even be that GTA5 is pre loading data (which would seem to indicate that GTA5 was ported correctly on PC).

-If you use a HARD disk and that you have active Prefetch (Prefetch is not used if you have an SSD) it will also be

cache data in memory when Windows starts.

Startup programs that you find in The System Configuration (msconfig) even cache data. Limiting the number of startup programs can go a long way toward improving the performance and reduce the probability of software conflicts.

"all settings are lowest for gta v."

All backgrounds using low can be counterproductive. If the gpu is not given enough work the load moves toward the

CPU, resulting in lower graphics performance.

Check that the gpu gets full use (99%) and that the VRAM is no more used (above 3.5 GB).

This will give the best performance available for this game.

GPU - Z card GPU Information Utility

-If you do not use the card Nvidia 'Experience' to optimize settings games try this and then set the parameters

until manually until the game begins to lag. Then dial back a bit and you should have the maximum eye candy the

card can provide without undue delay, etc.

-What are the best/maximum graphics settings is subjective. I don't mind a bit of a glitch, or occasional short shift in favour of more eye-candy, but many people want as much sweetness that can provide a game.

For the smoother game the optimal settings suggested by experience"is the best solution.

-I'm still old school and prefer to choose my own settings in the game and occasionally via Control Panel Nvidia

(for the most part, older games have no AA or AF settings).

I even do not install the 'experience' that I do not install anything that I do not use (do not install 3D drivers or a HD Audio either if you don't use them).

  • Alienware 15 R2 - boot from the SSD m2

    Hello

My employer has replaced my old laptop work with an Alienware 15 R2, and the it Department installed Windows 8.1 (most other software I need) on the 1 TB drive HARD but left white M.2 256 GB SSD.

I want to have the system startup of the SSD instead, so I cloned the two partitions ('System reserved' and 'Windows') from the HDD to the SSD using EaseUS Todo Backup. However, in the BIOS settings, I see no option to have the system startup of the SSD m2 - I tried the UEFI and inheritance settings.

Please can someone tell how can I have the start of the SSD system?

    Thank you.

P.S. I prefer not to return the system to my IT Department as it could be with them for a long period of time. I have full admin rights on the systems and I'm not adverse to some tech work.

I have it fixed now, so I've added some info here for someone else in the same situation...

It turns out that I couldn't start to the SSD m2 except if the system drive is converted from MBR/GPT/UFEI BIOS (or unless Windows is installed in a first time as UFEI, which wasn't the case with my cloned system image).

I converted the drive in UEFI by following the 'conversion Windows installation UEFI BIOS' guide on Microsoft Technet and after the start of the system in UFEI mode I was able to boot from SSD. (I also ran MiniTool Partition Wizard to ensure that the new Windows partition was properly aligned and launched "formal winsat v ' starting from a command prompt with admin rights to have Windows optimize settings for the new drive")
