What I'm not doing correctly?

Please, help me.

In the main menu: Application-> Application-> deployment properties

To check the contributors under different file groups.
Note that you can also create new groups of files to add other files.

You get the EAR deployment descriptor only if you add it to the application level. They are out on grayes model ot see controller projects.
Right-click on the Application and select "new-> deployment descriptor.

  • Editing file JSPX after EAR file deployment

    Environment
    -------------------
    JDeveloper 11 g 11.1.1.0.0
    WebLogic Server 10.3.0.0

I made a small change in the locally (Windows) of file JSPX in my Jdev, built the file EAR, copied from another machine (Unix) and deployed to weblogic console on this computer.

Now, I did another small change in the file JSPX locally, such as changing the text of a command button. Do I still need to generate the file EAR, to copy and deploy on the other machine? or should I go for this machine, make the same change somewhere to make it work?

I tried to look for the file on the Unix machine, but I found not only in the tmp/_WL_user/folder. I don't know that if weblogic allows me to edit the jsp file when the application runs, but even if that were the case, the changes are not permanent on this server right? Say, if I stop the weblogic, delete the contents of the tmp folder and start the weblogic, my changes will be lost and the application will run again with the code of the WAR file.

Here are two sites that I found the file.

    /tmp/_WL_user/WebApplication/ye1ch9/war/sample.JSPX
    /tmp/.appmergegen_1360341516154/WebApplication.ear/4nnh6x/sample.JSPX

Is there anyway that I can make this change without redeployment? I don't know to this post in the forum of Weblogic or here. If it is a bad place, please let me know.

the EAR file is deployed in the directory \autodeploy?

The change can be made in the copy of the EAR on Unix and transferred from the administration Console. Restart the server after making the change. Remove the EAR of the directory/tmp before making the change.

Properties of the application, you can change the file name of profile/ear only. If you want to change the name of the profile file / war, you need to do your ViewController project-> section of the deployment property.

  • Creating an ear file

    Hello

I'm developing a custom for short Studio component. I need to unpack the ear file, put a war to the already existing files file of the war and it rear zip. I could easily unpack the ear file by changing its extension to .zip and using WinZip. But now that I have placed my file. War in the correct location, I want to turn it back to the .ear file to deploy in the console. I need help for making it an ear file.

You can pack the EAR file again, using the utility 'pot' of the JDK.  Just give the output file a .ear extension.

    Hey YOU,.

You can create an EAR and its complete structure can be seen in the link below

    http://middlewaremagic.com/WebLogic/?p=1952

    Command line:

    jar - cvf .ear.

Where the last dot (.) represents all files in the current directory.

  • Attempt to package a jar of shared library in the ear file. error wlappc

I try to deploy files jar like shared libraries and decided to follow the recommendation to wrap the pots inside the separate ear files. I include all the modules in the ear, because each of them is designed to be deployed as a shared library. Jar files are placed in the APP-INF/lib directory. The manifest file in the directory META-INF of the ear contains name information and the version of the extension that I would use for these pots. When I run wlappc in my build the wlappc generates an error. I ran weblogic. DDConverter on the ear and the same error was generated. See below. Apparently, the error is caused by the fact that I do not declare all modules in the application.xml file. I found several examples of how package libraries with the help of a war. Even looking at the files in the C:\bea10.3.3\wlserver_10.3\common\deployable-libraries . I found no examples using the Archives of the ear.

My question is how can I do this. I'd rather do not creation of dummy modules. The documentation seems unclear to me in this area. I would really appreciate the help on this ASAP.

    I use Weblogic Server 10.3.3

You must create at least a model Module...

Your Exception clearly said... There is no present valid Module in your "application.xml" file which is the root cause of this issue.

NOTE: Still, if you do not want to create a Module inside your Application of EAR... then you can go ahead with the optional Packages. Optional packages also provides the same functionality as shared libraries... In this fit you can deploy a Plain Jar file on the server as an optional package, and other Applications can make reference to it. Like this: http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2009/12/06/optional-packages/

To see an example of it, you can do refers to: http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=4439423 during the last answer of mine I have Pasted a link to Test case that I've developed for demonstration... http://www.4shared.com/file/aaudoKO-/Hibernate_Shared_Lib_Demo.html (around of-2, 1 MB size)

The J2EE specification says: you must have a valid Module (war, ejbjar or simple Module Java) defined in the application ".» XML"of your Enterprise Application.

  • Change jbo.lock.mode in an EAR file

Anyone knows if I can change jbo.lock.mode in an appmodule after I generated an EAR file?

Where all the properties on an app module are stored (what file)?

    Best regards, reZer

    Hello

All application module properties are set by using configurations on the module of the application. The settings are stored in the bc4j.xcfg file (when you look in Jdev, select the module from the application, look in the structure window, then expand the files). Configurations can be edited by right-clicking on the module of the application.
Usually, it is convenient to create at least a second configuration for deployment and use it in the Datacontrols.dcx file in your GUI project.

    Kind regards

  • Just installed CD player. Now I can't print pdf files without disabling Protected Mode.  Anyway to adjust/difficulty so I can print protected-mode?

Just installed CD player. Now I can't print pdf files without disabling Protected Mode.  Anyway to adjust/difficulty so I can print protected-mode?

Protected mode can be "a very important part of their security features", but what's the point if the product does not work?

If has been like that since the introduction of Safe_mode in drive X.  Reader, crashes, hangs, cale, cannot print and various other symptoms.

I recommended to disable Safe_mode for a very long time, and even Adobe support staff do often the same here in the forum.

There is absolutely no advantage whatsoever to keep protected Mode enabled.  (Although I personally have never had no problems [with protected Mode on] on any of my Windows systems.)
