EBS on Oracle Cloud

Hi all

We have people who want their EBS must be installed in Oracle Cloud, because they believed that it is secure and less expensive.

I tried searching google, but I can't find a document on how to install EBS to Oracle Cloud.

Can you help me where I can find the docs please.

Has anyone of you tried to install EBS to Oracle Cloud?

Thank you very much

JC

They are separate environments first - an existing one in Amazon Cloud and another within the Oracle offer. Oracle allows not currently SEEP for connections to a system of source book, the only option available is a function file upload.

I think, in part because they do not want to expose SEEP to the external environments for reasons of maintenance and security.

  • Where to download the sample database for Siebel Innovation Pack delivery Oracle Cloud 2015?

    Hello

Where to download the example for Siebel Innovation Pack 2015 database?

I downloaded the complete packages for Siebel Innovation Pack 2015 for Windows 64 - bit Oracle Cloud delivery, but I can't find the sample database installation folder after downloading all available components.

    Please help, thanks.

    Hello

DB sample installer are no longer available on Oracle Cloud delivery. To get the sample DB, you need to download the Group of hotfixes 5 of Siebel 15 "Patches and updates" section of the portal My Oracle Support (Patch Id: 22081062) and extract the image from the network using SNIC as usual. You may notice that SNIC now offers local ORACLE XE and sample database.

Also if you select ORACLE XE options while creating the network image and inspect the network image files, you will miss the separate installers. This is because the sample for Oracle XE database Installer is included in the Web Client of Siebel (Mobile/Developer) and the local database setup is included in the Siebel tools.

So when you run Setup of the Siebel Web Client for the installation of the patch group, you can choose to include the database, which is installed in quiet mode. Please try to install web client and let us know if it gives you the opportunity to choose to include the example database.

  • Downloaded the location of files in Oracle Cloud 12.2 Service version August

    Hi team,

I have a question below on 12.2 Service Oracle cloud scenario.

We have an obligation to upload documents in order to complete the interview process. I was able to download documents using screens of the OPA, where are all these online will be stored?

I read the guides and it is said in the clouds of Oracle service? where exactly it will store attached files in the Oracle service clouds.

    Thank you

    Viv

To actually view the attachment in the Service Cloud Desktop Agent, you will need to make sure that the Attachments tab is exposed on the object (in the Office of the Agent).

Also, that's all assuming that you have an instance of Cloud Service and OPA is hung up on him, and this particular policy model is integrated with it.

On oracle cloud virtual, image I was able to create the database using DBCA (virtual image) oracle cloud. I understand with the virtual image, we won't have a lot of tools like on DAAS cloud. But could please at least use us dbconsole?

I tried to start dbconsole, and it did not work:

    [oracle@ltutest ~] $ emctl start dbconsole

OC4J Configuration problem. /U01/app/Oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/OC4J/J2EE/OC4J_DBConsole_ltutest.compute-aulatrobeu83140.oraclecloud.internal_ORCL not found.

According to the oracle help doc center - "creating a database on an instance of virtual image service" (http://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/dbcs_dbaas/CSDBI/GUID-29290A81-8798-4988-848E-77A1BE0CF08A.htm#GUID-4851560B-D4B6-42...)

database was created with the option as:

I guess we have to manually configure the em console, but when I tried to create it, he told me that "' Dbcontrol repository already exists." "

When I try to start it, it exports the error

I don't know what the problem is in your configuration, I did a quick test and security seems to work fine for me. Action taken:

    • In the console identity JCS

      • create user test1 and test2
      • create the test2Role and test1Role roles
    • Create "Fusion Web Application".
    • Create simple jspx page with nothing but a label release on it, access the page for the page definition create PageDef file
    • Generate the security configuration by using "application-> Secure-> configure ADF security."
      • The ADF security: choose "ADF Authentication and Authorization.
      • Authentication type: "HTTPS authentication of the Client (Public Key Certificate)" that will be based on the JCS authentication mechanism
      • Auto strategy grants: "no automatic grant."
      • Welcome authenticated: accept the default values
    • Navigate to the web.xml file
      • Remove the existing constraint and add a new constaint with ' / * ' model
      • Add a "Welcome" file to automatically navigate to the page in the web context root access
    • Access the jazn-"Data.xml"
      • Create the role of the application "test1Role".
      • Create the user "test1" and to entrust the "test1Role."
      • Give the page resource to the application role 'test1Role '.
    • Deploy to JCS

With this configuration, the page is accessible with the "test1" user but trying to access "test2" get:

    Error 401 - non authorized

Seems so its works very well. Don't know what is the matter with your configuration. For reference the key parts in my web.xml file contains:

    Hello

Where can I find the business process / model (BPM) runs for Oracle Cloud (Financials, HCM, sales, Service, Taleo)?

Something similar to the reference model to the Oracle BPA Suite retail (Business process architect) would be good, as long as it is relevant to Oracle Cloud.

I'm looking for the level 0 (Oracle Cloud) and 1 (HCM, sales, Service, financial services, Taleo) process flow (level 2 and 3 in option).

    Hi guys,.

But, in the clouds of the Oracle of the site: http://cloud.oracle.com/mycloud/f?p=service:DATABASE_ARCHITECTURE:0:
It is said that I can easily create RESTful against data in my database Oracle Cloud Service Web Services.
It means that I just give my affiliates with the appropriate parameters, and then they can recover the data in my tables...

If you could just elaborate on this, pls?

Another thing, I didn't know that Oracle a certain date for this service is available, Oracle makes?

  • EBS Performance on cloud

    Hi all

    EBS R12.1.3

    RHEL6

We have migrated our EBS on site server to AWS - EC2 cloud server.

It's the lowest maintenance cost and total cost of ownership (TCO) on the servers.

In server on site, we use LAN to access the application. In the clouds, we use internet.

We noticed that the loading of java forms is slow in the cloud to access LAN servers.

Is this a normal behavior? Is there a way to speed up the loading of the forms of java like the speed when we use the LAN?

    Thank you very much

    JC

I don't think you have to hit several times, but it may take longer than expected after a click.

What is the response time by comparing to what you used to have before?

You can try to activate tracing forms and collect diagnoses of duration of forms.

  • EBS 12i on Cloud server with the public IP address but no DMZ

    Hello

I installed Oracle EBS in a server (such as AWS EC2) cloud with a public IP address. I'm simply looking for personal learning and knowledge about security risks. As there is no given production safety is not serious at this point.

Also, I don't mean to enter the configurations of the DMZ at the moment.

I am able to access APPS internally under the server on port 8000 with URL http://<server:8000>/OA_HTML/AppsLogin. but I'm unable to access the URL above on internet.

The environment is EBS 12.2.0 on Oracle Linux 5.11.

I tried the options following, but so far without success.

    1. I tried to completely disable the Linux and SELinux firewall on the server. I have also authorized above URL in my personal office. So the 8000 port is not blocked anywhere.

2, I followed this note to try to set it up on port 80, but still without success-> configuration Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 on Amazon Cloud Infrastructure (Doc ID 1205963.1). But you should know that mine isn't on AWS EC2 but similar model.

So simple question is how can I access front-end EBS on internet (DMZ) using port 8000? I do need to update httpd.conf of EBS Webtier (besides point 2 above)?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    See you soon!

    Hello
