  I'm following the installation for EBS 12 on an instance of OEL 7 documentation.

  I ran with success the buildStage.sh, create the directory that contains the/internship/EBSInstallMedia/internship/TechInstallMedia/internship/TechPatches and/internship/startCD

  He said before running rapidwiz

  Check oraInst.loc exist in the directory appropriate for your platform:

  Confirm that the content of the oraInst.loc look like this:

  inventory_loc = / oracle/oraInventory

  where/oracle/oraInventory points to the directory where the Central your inventory is. This location must be writable by the user account which must Run install fast.

  All this is academic, because my find in my entire system command fails to reveal any oraInventory.loc file.

  I followed the 122install.pdf.

  There is not an oraInventory.loc file.

  What you need to do is the following:

  -Choose any directory where you want to have your oraInventory and create it manually - for example "mkdir/u01/oracle/oraInventory" and make sure it is writable

  -Manually create the file /etc/oraInst.loc-"touch /etc/oraInst.loc".

  -Edit "/ etc/oraInst.loc ' to have a point to your oraInventory-'vi /etc/oraInst.loc' and add this line-->>" inventory_loc = / u01/oracle/oraInventory.

  When you run Rapidwiz it will read /etc/oraInst.loc to find oraInventory pointer (which is ' / u01/oracle/oraInventory "in this example) and the Installer stores the info here.

  The foregoing is explained (Doc ID 1320300.1) under "Verify 1.6 oraInst.loc (UNIX only)".

  Did anyone installed Oracle EBS 12.2.5 on redhat 7 yet?

  I use a directory of scene with startcd version 50

  I'm trying, but installation fails with

  The installation fails to/oracle/soft/ebs/TechInstallMedia/ohs11117/Disk1/runInstaller - waitForCompletion - ignoreSysPrereqs - force - silent - responsefile /oracle1/VIS/fs2/inst/apps/VIS_svlirc21/temp/cfgHome/response/APPS_OHS_HOME/txkOHS_11117.rsp

  You're in for a lot of pain! The webtier components delivered with EBS do compilation/installation on RH7.x without a bit of hacking.

  If you want to try, you can work around this error by updating sysliblist

  for example:

  sed-i of /-ldl - lm - lpthread - c - lirc - lipgo / - ldl - lm - lpthread - c - lirc - lipgo-ldms2 - lrt/g ' sysliblist

  But you will hit the next mistake after that...

• Cloning of EBS R12.2.4

  I always get error when cloning time 2 CRP in the same server instance due to duplicate exist in the OraInventory folder.

  How to avoid it? My solution is to manually delete the entries in the xml file that is pretty hard to do because you might accidentally delete the wrong pairs of lines.

  Can I use the deregistration of control?

  For example:

  If none of the mentions above Oracle Home are already enrolled in the Oracle inventory, you can run the following command to unregister or detach that Oracle Home:

  $ cd /u02/r122/fs1/FMW_Home/oracle_common/oui/bin
$ ./runInstaller -detachhome\

  In fact, when I do after cloning I delete the first entries in the invtory, so I have created my own backup, which is the last row in the list above.

  Inventory.XML: it contains houses Oracle which installed and registered in this central inventory.xml.

  If the process that updates the details home Oracle inventory takes backup of existing inventory.xml.

  In the event that your inventory is corrupted then previous backup can help you to identify/re-attach the ORACLE_HOME saved earlier with your central inventory details.

• EBS 12.1.1 Oracle install on Oracle Linux 6.6 x 86-64 bit

  I downloaded Oracle EBS 12.1.1 for Linux x 86 64-bit delivery; Oracle Linux version 6.6 as OS guest is Windows 7 as host; md5sum to verify the integrity of files downloaded from the EBS as by Doc ID 802195.1.  StartCD, error message for each file is: FAILED open or read.  I converted the file using the command dos2unix, tried for both versions: 12.1.1.9 and 12.1.1.13 but the problem persists.

  For other directories, got the result of following checksum:

  oraDB/Disk1/dbts/stage/db42_ctx.zip: FAILURE

  oraDB/Disk1/dbts/stage/db43_ctx.zip: FAILURE

  oraDB/Disk2/dbts/stage/db41_ctx.zip: FAILURE

  File Linux64_part_overview.txt shows that these files belong to V15679 - 01_1of3.zip, but in the circles of the delivery, this file does not exist.  files of oraDB in EBS 12.1.1 for Linux x 86-64 in V35224-01_1of3, V35224-01_2of3 and V35224-01_3of3.  This means checksum files are not updated?  I have re downloaded these files but the problem persists.

  I tried to download and check the media several times but the result was even listed above.  Then I started the installation, pre-installation check shows 'File System' failed with the error message: there is no such thing as oraInventory.  I continued, there was no error during installation but after installation controls reveal "JSP" and "Page"Login"failed with the following error message:

  It says very clearly do not remove these lines, and yet you have commented

  you might have used just any presented another host name "localhost".

  I cloned my applTier, but it took so much time and hanged.

  When I restarted the failed clone, I get error of inventory:

  Check the script, it says...

  This script is run from a session nolog; login first.

  Means, you must connect as sysdba first, then run the script.

  In addition, do you see any errors in the log file of this script (%ORACLE_HOME%\appsutil\log\\adcrobj.txt)?

  We have an EBS (R12.1) environment and intend to use the CPSA. I've seen environments where the CAWC runs in its own environment/database, etc. and connects to an instance of the EBS. Which is the only type of available configuration or can CAWC run fully within an environment of EBS/instance on the same server? If so, what are the consequences of such a configuration, for example on the performance.

  Hi Nat,

  ASIC can be configured in two ways:

  1 centralized - where the EBS and VCP reside on the same application server.

  2 decentralized - where the EBS and CRS are on two different application servers.

  Basically the motor nucleus of CPSA of planning does all the planning in the memory of the application server (and not in the database). This planning process is highly require a lot of resources (memory) and requires a huge memory (according to the data, the type of plan and many other factors). If the application servers are not the right size, this led to the poor performance of the application. And if both the planning and EBS reside on the same server, there are possibilities that you slow the global treatment through the functions of the company. That's why decentralized architecture is preferred, where the planning process running on another remote computer of your EBS and it didn't there in not affecting transactional modules.

  Beyond that, you have the ease of maintenance in terms of correction, update, addition of multiple of VCP modules, if you're on a decentralised architecture.

  Centralized architecture is also not rare. Many companies run their planning and EBS on a single machine.

  I hope that the above gives you a point of view, using which you can choose what suits your business best!
